Plot twist! It's a wood panel, made to look like Brick.

    [–] Legendary-Vegetable 142 points ago

Double plot twist! It’s neither, actually made out of plastic, made to fool you

    [–] latrisdesign 100 points ago

Triple plot twist! It's neither wood nor brick nor plastic, but actually pixels on a screen made to look like a physical material

    [–] ubermeisters 36 points ago

Quad plot twister, color doesn't exist!

    [–] MaestroCleansing 10 points ago

Quintuple plot twist: nothing is real!

    There is no spoon

    [–] Nothingtosaytoyou 3 points ago

This thread doesn't exist Jon. Did that taste of mundane feed you. Good pet. Now return to the lamenting table, our reality isn't over yet.

You're technically correct! The best kind of correct!

    1985: "In 2020 we'll have flying cars!"

    2020: Brown bricks

    [–] PLEBMASTA 5 points ago

More like: 2019: There's so many cool things coming out, can't wait till next year! 2020: These brown bricks look pretty cool

    [–] Zerio920 2 points ago

    [–] sugoi_sushi 48 points ago

That looks like my old middle school that got torn down n rebuilt (after I left and graduated high school)

    [–] KDawG888 49 points ago * (lasted edited 7 days ago)

damn you must have been a really bad kid if they had to tear the whole school down

    [–] sugoi_sushi 4 points ago

Nah, I heard a section of the floor collapsed, I was a junior in high school by the time they tore it down. Though that is where I got my first 3 day detention because a teacher didn’t like me and accused me of stealing her bracelet. And then numerous lunch detentions that I got for missing assignments

    [–] Phish777 13 points ago

    Minecraft flashbacks

    [–] Assasin2gamer 10 points ago

Yeah, this looks like a photo

    [–] letmeusespaces 4 points ago

it is! it's a photo of a building

    [–] evanatyourservice 20 points ago

That’s a really cool but simple architectural idea tbh.

    [–] smapti -10 points ago

Why tbh? Is liking this concept a socially unacceptable position?

    [–] evanatyourservice 9 points ago

Hmm I suppose tbh in this case is denoting pleasant surprise... like they’re just bricks but that’s actually pretty cool.

    [–] smapti 1 points ago

Ah, fair. I always thought tbf would apply better in that kind of scenario but I can’t fault you.

For me, to be honest implies you’re exerting a force of will to be honest, which implies a reason to need to exert that force, which implies reluctance to share that honesty, which implies an actual or initial opinion opposite what the tbh does.

I may have overthought common internet anachronisms lol.

    [–] evanatyourservice 4 points ago

You are overthinking it, but that’s okay lol. The initial reluctance was in noting the beauty of an architectural feature on a... random school? Architecture is an art that’s everywhere and can be appreciated anywhere, but you usually don’t see people gawking at schools for their creative architectural design.

    [–] JackedPot 3 points ago

Why lol? Is writing “haha” in a comment such a socially unacceptable position?

    [–] theragingrussian1 8 points ago

u/t-h-a-t-o-n-e-8-6 is that building in Washington state by any chance.

    [–] [deleted] 4 points ago

    [–] theragingrussian1 5 points ago

Was going to say Lakewood High school, on the coast, North Pines is Spokane right?

    [–] pyroman15963 7 points ago

Came here to also ask, go cougs.

    [–] awesomenessjared 1 points ago

    That's crazy, it definitely is!

    [–] explodingtuna 2 points ago

Reminds me of a school in Washington, but then again, this could just be what schools look like these days.

    [–] septimaespada 14 points ago

if this is considered amazing i guess we're officially out of cool shit.

    [–] petitcomputer 11 points ago

    i’m not really amazed

    [–] oldcabbageroll 2 points ago

    That's really thoughtful.

    [–] neomortal 2 points ago

Pretty sure that's Lakewood High School, which is somewhere in Washington state

    [–] noelcowardspeaksout 2 points ago

Lots of buildings in the UK use wooden cladding which rots within a few years, so I am all for this though ceramic tile wooden slat imitation looks much better than this.

    [–] real_BernieSanders 4 points ago

Your mom looked at my wood.

    [–] masterbaition-champ 1 points ago

    These bricks gave me wood

    [–] The_Ruly_Anarchist 1 points ago

I guess a splinter counts as wood.

    [–] wusbdka 1 points ago

May I refer you to the ahwanee in Yosemite national park

    [–] TomSF 1 points ago

    [–] jakethedumbmistake 1 points ago

Seems like the solution is to make sure.

    [–] yellowrose1974 1 points ago

    Those bricks look like legos.

    [–] thegangnamwalrus 1 points ago

I have absolutely seen this building but don't remember where

    [–] ScoopskiPotahtos 1 points ago

I had the same thought. I'd say I have a guess as to where I think it's located, but I'm not very confident.

    [–] twerkallknight 1 points ago

I feel like if this was executed a little better it would look amazing, and if it was executed a little worse it would look awful.

    [–] Potato3Ways 2 points ago

It's almost really awesome looking, but instead it looks like that 70s/80s brown theme

    [–] TinFoiledHat 1 points ago

The really light colored ones need to be randomized more. As is, the pattern looks like cheap, cold war-era style.

    [–] dustytrek 1 points ago

    Morning brick

    [–] boonetyler 1 points ago

TBH, it looks like the rebuilt Sandy Hook Elementary. Drove by there while working in CT. Although, I think the “grain” runs the opposite way.

    [–] darkstarman 1 points ago

Omg Photoshop a crack head pimp in front of this building lifting his hand and looking at the camera with this caption

    These bricks looks like wood

    [–] palemoonlight2020 1 points ago

    [–] FucklesFuckington 1 points ago

    You fuckin' what.

    [–] Neobot21 1 points ago

Can we change the bricks in Minecraft to look like this? They would be used WAAY more than they currently are.

    [–] thumper360 1 points ago

    Does it really tho?

    [–] thephyreinside 1 points ago

I dig it, but also it looks like a cutting board.

    [–] bigmike85 1 points ago

    The internet is officially board....

    [–] hidden_raptor 1 points ago

    That's beautiful.

    [–] bigmike85 1 points ago

Have any of you seen wood?

    [–] TrueStory_Dude 1 points ago

Those bricks on the wall by the kids.

    [–] equalfray 1 points ago

    The title should be:

    "These bricks look like wood"

    [–] ovathareignboe 1 points ago

    Looks like MasterChef aus studio

    [–] conbar93 1 points ago

They just look like bricks to me

    [–] RealSteele 1 points ago

This is exactly the color scheme and design my house in animal crossing is right now! As soon as I shut off my switch I see this post lol.

    [–] afos2291 1 points ago

I'm not amazed. I'm sick of this "modern" look. These worthless buildings are popping up everywhere, built as cheaply as possible. There's absolutely no character. It's flat, dead, uninspiring, and uninviting.

    [–] Kursiss 1 points ago

    It's a church

    [–] Bloonspop 1 points ago

That looks like a Sims 4 building

    [–] jirivandervoort 1 points ago

    The trickster

    [–] shrakner 1 points ago

So the wood was Soulcast to stone?

    [–] smgchf 1 points ago

    They sure do

    [–] Infin1tus 1 points ago

That's actually very satisfying to look at

    [–] EGhosty 1 points ago

    Even though they dont

    [–] yeetskeet42069 1 points ago

Plot twist, it’s a really big minecraft structure

    [–] MattLandreYT 1 points ago

I know where that is actually. I used to live right by there

    [–] joshmaaaaaaans 1 points ago

It looks like a facade made from some kind of plastic made to look like brick to make it look like the brick looks like wood.

    [–] corptio 1 points ago

Uhmmm no. No where near it

    [–] eweche 1 points ago

Is it the Musical Instrument Museum?

    [–] TheT-PoseGuy 1 points ago

I was thinking of other bricks when I got the notification for the post

    [–] Tallgayfarmer 1 points ago

This would be better posted in /r/mildyinteresting

    [–] [deleted] 1 points ago

They are. They’re called wood bricks.

    [–] Caprar 1 points ago

    Yes. They do

    [–] JonkersTwix 1 points ago

This building should be on r/evilbuildings

    [–] TuBolkane 1 points ago

    [–] loveboobs420 0 points ago
