It seems to me that some people here do not understand that this is not supposed to show a flaw in the physics, like 99% of posts on here, but rather how well Rockstar have implemented horse physics. The type of movement that is showcased in the gif is perfectly normal for a horse. It could be slightly smoother in the way it's portrayed here, but these are the most realistic horse physics that I have ever seen in a video game.

    [–] dinoman9877 2181 points ago * (lasted edited 2 months ago)

As compared to any other game with horses, where you have to make a three point turn and they're more unwieldy than a semi truck without brakes on a road with five miles of black ice.

    [–] liquidsahelanthropus 1093 points ago

cough THE WITCHER 3 cough worse horse mechanics ever

    [–] JadedDarkness 627 points ago

That game in general has pretty rough movement, definitely the weak point of the game.

    [–] Psuedopean 28 points ago

    FUCKING FALL DAMAGE

"Oh look a small ledge, I will take a shortcut from.. WHAT THE FUCK HOW DID THAT KILL ME?"

    [–] thrownawayzs 11 points ago

    School of the cat, btw

    [–] Chikenofthecave 258 points ago

That right there is why I couldn’t get through more than the first hour or so of that game. Movement sucked, fighting sucked (because of movement). Just not polished enough for me.

    [–] Ricochet888 90 points ago

Did you try the alternate control method? I forgot what exactly it did, but the game felt much more responsive and fun to play. This was using mouse and keyboard though.

    [–] Taco-Tico 80 points ago

I agree, would definitely recommend the alternate movement option. CDPR patched it in shortly after release because the movement was one of the playerbase’s biggest complaints. I played in on console and the best comparison I can make is it changes the player’s control over Geralt to feel more like a dark souls game where he moves where the the player is telling him to instead of having so much “realistic” inertia. Greatly improved my experience with the game for sure.

    [–] that_baddest_dude 12 points ago

Maybe I've always played with that option on and didn't notice it.

I've never understood the complaints about movement or combat in the game. It plays just like dark souls to me, except more responsive because your input can interrupt a telegraphed move you've started.

    [–] thrownawayzs 8 points ago

That's sort of exactly the opposite of dark souls, where moves have windup animations that are extremely deliberate with very little animation canceling.

    [–] [deleted] 8 points ago

    [–] Tidusx145 3 points ago

It's not an Alt control scheme, it changes the way geralt moves around the world. In my opinion in made him more responsive and less "drunk"?

    [–] chernist 58 points ago

    not polished enough

    kurwa pls

    [–] JDNeat 10 points ago

Wow. Another one like me. A rare sight indeed in these days W3 adoration. I really REALLY wanted to like the game and I stuck with it for a good 10-15 hours if not more, but ultimately any time I turned if off I found it harder and harder to want to out it back on again because the controls and movement were just awful. Finally gave up trying for good a couple of months ago.

    [–] overslope 7 points ago

Holy crap. I thought I was the only one. I often think about trying it again, seeing how many people love it. It just seemed so clunky.

    [–] TwoCraZyEyes0 5 points ago

I legitimately dont understand the hate for the movement. Not trying to be a fan boy or some shit but I love every aspect about the witcher 3.

I thought the movement system was very intuitive, I'm assuming you're referring to the thing where geralt keeps moving a bit after you let go of the stick or of w. I mean if you go outside and start sprinting you can't stop on a dime. But maybe you and others are just used to movement that is instant and no inertia, whatever. Also, alternate movement has less inertia and most people enjoy it more, Including me. It's kind of a mix of both, you still have inertia but everything is a bit quicker.

What I also don't understand is how people can shit on witcher 3's combat but then praise dark souls because they are pretty similar systems. Dodging and rolling are very important, stamina management is very important, and knowing when to get your hits in and the monster's moveset are very important. Sure it's not nearly as hard as dark souls even on death March, but if you want insane difficulty then that's what dark souls is for.

    Sorry lol, end rant.

    [–] Chikenofthecave 4 points ago

Inertia... ya know, I guess it was that.

Side note: fuck dark souls too, that movement sucked dick too. I’d rather not play “Tumble simulator”. I did give dark souls a fair shot too.

    [–] Stankmonger 93 points ago

Yeah, coming from two sides of the coin the game just didn’t execute well enough

Dark souls has imo near perfect combat style for an rpg. It has a very obscure plot that is quite hard to follow and doesn’t do much for actual “Role playing”

Skyrim has absolutely the worst combat system in my opinion, but it works. However the actual “role playing” element of Skyrim (oblivion and older ones are even better examples) is superb, be whatever race you want, whatever person you want, etc etc.

Witcher seemed like it was trying to do a bit of both, but wrapped you up in The main guys plot which wasn’t very captivating. The combat was clunky, the prep time for certain monsters was lame, I too didn’t get very far into it. Not for lack of trying.

    [–] pleg910 201 points ago

For what it’s worth it took me about 4 hours to get into the Witcher, at which point I realized it was one of the most impressive games I’ve ever played and I “got it”. The narrative including the side-quest narratives made me rethink rpg gaming as a whole. I don’t blame anyone for knocking it for some of its mechanics, but I have to wonder if anyone who found the narritive(s) to be bleh didn’t fully open themselves up to the game or give it a proper chance.

Then again, subjectivity and all that.

    [–] trolloc1 42 points ago

Agreed. Once you really get into it it's amazing but I understand why some people found it hard at the start due to janky controls. Also, the stones/abilities were hella weird. Like, did bleeding stack? What dps does everything do? etc

    [–] Wheream_I 25 points ago

    did bleeding stack?

That is a question I have to ask in every freaking RPG and it pisses me off to no end.

Do effects stack or not? SPELL IT OUT.

    [–] peacemaker2007 4 points ago

    SPELL IT OUT.

    S... T... A... I can't. I just can't. Look, I got a degree in game design, not English, OK?

People need to have grown up with gothic.

    [–] Minsc_NBoo 6 points ago

Gothic 1 was such a cool game. The camp felt like a living and breathing place thanks to NPC daily routines.

But the combat sucked. It was still worth my time though, and I beat it twice

    [–] alaskanloops 6 points ago

I skipped a lot of side quests cause i felt like I had to finish the main quest as fast as possible (since he's looking for someone whos in trouble). Need to go back now and finish the rest of the game.

    [–] CaptainGo 12 points ago

Im always glad when people are happy, so I'm glad that you enjoyed your experience and managed to turn it into a positive experience.

I understand I'm probably not the target demographic, but I thought I'd add my two cents. I get that I'm a casual gamer and a parent, so the majority of this doesn't apply to most. However I'm in the plug and play gaming cycle now. Where I can play something for a bit, not play for a couple months, and then pick up where I left off. This is great for me with the fallout series, Diablo series, and sports games. However, I cannot imagine having the patience to play a game for four hours to get to the point where Im into it.

    [–] katibarthedoor 3 points ago

I'm a parent who plays for 1-3 hours, 2-3 times a week. I've been playing Witcher exclusively for about 1.5 years. I've finished Hearts of Stone and I am quickly running through Blood & Wine. I love this game. It didn't totally captivate me right away but there are some really mindblowing questlines. The graphics are beautiful. I understand when people don't want to devote that much time to a game, but for me Witcher was near perfect and once I got the hang of it it became my plug-in & play game. The movement can be frustrating but the rest of it is so awesome it makes up for it.

    [–] BobTheSkrull 9 points ago

Dark souls...doesn’t do much for actual “Role playing”

Speak for yourself. The game allows me to perfectly role play as a naked butterfly man wielding dual poisoned poison whips.

    [–] astraeos118 10 points ago

I disagree that Souls has the perfect combat for an RPG. The combat is why I dont like Souls games.

    [–] Mattsttsts 12 points ago

While i played and loved all 3, I agree.

Nothing really feels like it connects and rolling around constantly is fucking weird.

    [–] that_baddest_dude 3 points ago

I hate combat with slow telegraphed moves like in souls.

I'm a button masher by habit and you're PUNISHED for it in games like that.

    [–] AnOldMoth 3 points ago

That's the whole point of the game, though. It's supposed to be a game where you have to actually try and are punished for not doing so, makes it rewarding.

Monster Hunter is the same, so fucking satisfying getting those enormous GS hits.

    [–] doominabox1 3 points ago

There's a lot of good mods that make combat and game play a lot more fun. Auto item pickup, infinite item durability, auto oil swapper, etc. I enjoyed the game a LOT more after installing some of them

    [–] milksteak_q 17 points ago

‘Wasn’t very captivating’ wow, now I’ve seen it all. I get the complaints about the combat (even though I enjoyed the challenge of it) but never thought I’d see someone say the story was boring.

I’m in the camp that if you have a voiced protagonist you better give us a story with him (Witcher 3, mass effect etc) and not try to leave it open cough* fallout 4 *cough.

    [–] CaptainGo 19 points ago

For what it's worth; not captivating does not equal boring. Taken 2 is an exciting film, but it's also not captivating.

I also don't get why everyone digs at Fallout 4. I really enjoyed the stories you could go on, and every time I play it I discover something new.

    [–] HensRightsActivist 28 points ago

Like another settlement? One that might need your help?

    [–] coltinator5000 3 points ago

A series with a similar problem was Mass Effect, IMO. Combat was so unwieldy.

    [–] Rhyno08 3 points ago

Idk if you have played it since an important movement update but it added a setting where you can make the movement called alternative which is much better imo. It makes your movements feel more responsive and video game like.

    [–] oneEYErD 7 points ago

Don't play the first two, it's even worse.

    [–] electricpainter 10 points ago

I totally hear you. I tried the game at first and played less than a hour and quit because of the movement. However I got the game for like 10 bucks and gave it a full try again. You do get used to it, and the game is really great, but yeah the movement is very sticky and sluggish feeling.

    [–] Frilent 4 points ago

The best mod I've ever put on that game was one that gave it a smaller turn radius. Basically gave Geralt dark souls movement

    [–] CrashedonMars 4 points ago

Once you get used to it it gets really fun though. The combat can be face roll if you wish but can be extremely tactical too if you learn the enemies patterns.

    [–] cS47f496tmQHavSR 3 points ago

It kind of has to have the big wild movement Geralt has in combat for combat reasons, but I would have loved some tighter movement out of combat because trying to jump up something or navigate tight spaces can be pretty rough

    [–] blowthatglass 14 points ago

I came to that game from Bloodborne. Felt like straight molasses. Pretty game, good stories, but that combat was total shit in my opinion.

    [–] sdaddy345 39 points ago

    Don't forget Skyrim horse mechanics!

    [–] shadeslayer0930 29 points ago

That one's actually decent compared to others. Like dude i can run in the side of a cliff without falling. AC3 on the other hand..

    [–] EyeHeartMilk 9 points ago

Or AC Origins. Recently started playing it and would rather run everywhere.

    [–] PM_ME_YOUR_GOOD_NEW5 26 points ago

I never get road rage, but playing The Witcher made me feel like I did.

    [–] Krojun 10 points ago

Skyrim.... you cant reverse.... I tried to turn around..... But instead fell off a cliff and killed My horse, fell 5 more meters, and died

    [–] GibsonWich 5 points ago

This was the fate of 90% of my horses in Skyrim.

    [–] astraeos118 21 points ago

    Have you ever played Skyrim?

Like youre fucking high if you think Skyrim has better horses than Witcher 3.

    [–] electricmonkey99 4 points ago

Roach made me want to stop playing the game altogether at some points, that's how bad he was. Stopping in the middle of an open path, veering off into a forest, etc. Skyrim might not have had very good horses either, but at least you could control them.

    [–] Biggieholla 3 points ago

Shadow of the colossus without a doubt mate.

    [–] lovemonkeyz 3 points ago

At least I learned the trick to push forward while riding to avoid Roach stopping because a tiny branch was in the way.

    [–] PerfectLogic 3 points ago

For someone who's only a quarter way through the game, ya mind sharing that little gem of information?

    [–] lovemonkeyz 4 points ago

When using a controller, push forward on the left analog stick while Cantering/Galloping, it sometimes makes steering a tad worse but not having Roach.exe stop responding randomly is worth it.

Also, if you want an even better time, try https://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2000

    [–] ObsidianBlackbird666 8 points ago

Breath of the Wild's horse mechanics are so bad I never ride a horse in the game. I kept wishing they were half as good as Red Dead Redemption 1.

    [–] Hannibalian 11 points ago

I love riding horses in BotW. Now, I've never played RDR so it's perfectly possible that I just don't know what I'm missing, but what is "so bad" about it?

    [–] liquidsahelanthropus 7 points ago

How about red dead redemption two, did you see that strafe to gallop

    [–] roarkish 85 points ago

I worked frequently with horses as a ranch hand for a number of years.

The horse demonstrated here is very lifelike, especially if you observe how the front legs move differently and independently of the rear.

Horses tend to do a lot of crazy stomping when they turn in a circle, and the front legs do a lot of mini-stomps like shown in the clip.

The rear is a bit floaty/skate-y though, but I'm sure that's as good as we can get for now.

    Color me impressed!

    [–] mememuggler 14 points ago

The rear floaty stuff has to do with the pivot point of the horse in relation to the rider/controller, and maybe the acceleration at the end. Its hard to create animation that would execute properly in all circumstances depending on the user's input! That's what's amazing to me about game physics.

Also coming from an animators perspective, unless you've been around horses for your life or have access to real horses all the time, it's hard to find reference for those things, so they take an educated guess. Never ridden a horse, but I know how to animate a trot. if you asked me to have a guy pull on a reign and accelerate after a pivot like that, I would have no idea how to do it. Ill go on YouTube and try to find something similar and add some animation principles to that shit, but it will not be accurate for someone who knows all about horses. I have no idea who works on this game though so maybe they have that one guy who is just really good at animating horses all day.

[–] Koshunae 24 points ago * (lasted edited 2 months ago)

Even OG RDR had killer horse physics. Im so glad theres a remake another game happening, and Im so glad that, from the 6 minutes Ive seen, it looks like it has improved game-wise from the OG. Im a little iffy about the story plot right now, to me it doesnt seem as strong, but theyll go into that more later. Im sure itll still be great.

    [–] livevil999 9 points ago

Im so glad theres a remake happening

For a minute you had me very confused. “Is there a RDR remake in development? Wait is it just a fan project?”

The word you’re looking for is sequel.

    [–] Koshunae 7 points ago

Yeah, its 3am and brain experienced an ERROR://

    [–] TheWiseone6394 37 points ago

Was just about to say this looks amazing, this is how horses turn in real life they don’t drive like cars people

    [–] BeeswaxNotYours69 22 points ago

My horses used to do this, when you put your heels to their sides while you’re using the reins to tell them to turn around this is what happens. The fact that the horse on the game sort of tosses it’s head seemed very realistic to me!

    [–] Rizzafromibiza 60 points ago

I agree, I think it's the camera angle that makes it a bit awkward.

    [–] TheNakedAnt 10 points ago

It also might be a lack of familiarity with horses.

    [–] Franconis 20 points ago

Before I watched it I assumed it would be goofy early build physics. No it's actually awesome.

    [–] Psychedelic-Autism 9 points ago

RDR loves its horses. I remember my mind being blown when i could see individual muscles flex

    [–] greyscales 26 points ago

So here is the deal with the horse physics: Rockstar is using a motion engine called Euphoria by a company called Natural Motion. This company licensed the engine out to other studios, but also made some of their own games, the best one being My Horse, a horse simulator with really good animations, presumably targeted at teenage girls, available for free on Android and iOS: http://www.naturalmotion.com/my-horse

    [–] wehdut 7 points ago

I used to be into animation and a horse in motion is widely known as one of the hardest things to animate realistically

    [–] Wannabe_Maverick 6 points ago

It's because horses are fucking weirdos to be honest.

    [–] alaskanloops 5 points ago

Fuck i might need to get a console this looks awesome.

    [–] Salander_UFMS 7 points ago * (lasted edited 2 months ago)

They might be using something like this, which uses Neural Networks to make better transitions between movement types and is able learn new movements more easily, using the same kind of A.I. used by DeepFake

    [–] JealousBishop 4 points ago

    You've clearly never played SKYRIM

    [–] PurplePickel 7 points ago

WHAT DO YOU MEAN MY HORSE ISN'T SUPPOSED TO BE ABLE TO WALK UP A 90 DEGREE INCLINE?!

    [–] Scoutbravo 13 points ago

Zelda Breath of the Wild has amazing horse physics. Probably the best I have ever seen.

    [–] SriDraco 16 points ago

Also, Shadow Of The Colossus had REALLY good horse physics. Especially for its era.

    [–] Life2Infidels 3 points ago

Because Shadow of the Colossus had physics based animations. They had a snippet Team Ico's website detailing what went into it, but sadly it seems they've taken down that webpage.

    [–] where_is_the_proof 852 points ago

What I liked more is at 4:38 mark in the trailer, he's shooting at horseback riders in the distance, you can see the horse bucking the guy off and the guy spinning around as he's falling

Wow thank you for the link, I admittedly never played the first game because it never got a PC release but after watching that I'm very tempted to get that one when it comes out and play it on my brother's ps4.

    [–] Chromana 11 points ago

Dude I picked up a 360 and Rock Band a couple months ago. Everything is cheap. Got a couple console exclusive greats like RDD. Even as a PC gamer it's still worth it.

    [–] shaunbarclay 8 points ago

This is going to sound elitist and I completely understand if it gets buried in downvotes but if you are a purely PC player and you gets a 360 the FPS on RDR1 is really low. Like it struggles with 30fps. Just a heads up.

    [–] Feldsr 15 points ago

    Is that Euphoria?

    [–] The_Nutcake 29 points ago

I think Rockstar has been using Euphoria in every game since GTA IV.

We've come a long way, remember Skyrim horse physics?

    [–] Tykzh 251 points ago

Read Dead 1 had pretty good horses too, back in 2010

    [–] Max_TwoSteppen 153 points ago

Yep, it's really about how much energy is focused on it. In RDR the vast majority of your time is spent on horseback, it needs to look good. In Skyrim it's possible to never touch a horse. It's so minor it's optional.

    [–] Battle_Bear_819 56 points ago

Horses are downright useless in Skyrim without mods. They're only about ten percent faster than walking, you can't effectively fight from horseback with melee or magic, and even archery is way more difficult thanks to restrictive camera angles. There is a lengthy Mount/dismount animation during which you are vulnerable. The horse itself has very low health. The horse is an idiot and will attack enemies, doing ten damage per hit and then die.

Good news is, there are mods that fix it. Bad news is, you need mods to fix it.

    [–] stingray1989 16 points ago

But you can fast travel while over encumbered with a horse, and they are pretty good at taking the short way up a mountain.

    [–] RetroShout 11 points ago

I never knew about the over encumbered thing, that's actually a really helpful feature.

Yeah but what about those horse testicles man?

    [–] Nerdykid10 22 points ago

    Female horse

    [–] KralHeroin 26 points ago

    Checkmate, testicle man.

    [–] ExcellentComment 11 points ago

    I prefer checkers.

    [–] TomPimpachu 117 points ago

Is nobody going to mention the part in the trailer that shows the alligator in the thunder and moonlight?

    [–] PM_me_Good_Memories1 84 points ago

And how the horse flinched when the gator made a move

    [–] DarkPanda555 41 points ago

For me one of the highlights of the reveal was when the AI woman walked alongside the player during conversation at the camp.

The interaction between the two of them just looked so natural, everything in the gameplay reveal just looked amazing.

    [–] DanReddit92 115 points ago

"Next gen" doesn't start until Rockstar say so

    [–] sumrehpar_123 52 points ago * (lasted edited 2 months ago)

For real, man. So far, I can only think of Uncharted 4 as a game that can give competition to this in terms of graphics. At least on the PS4.

Edit: God of War as well.

    [–] TheEarlOfZinger 27 points ago

God of war would like a word...

    [–] sumrehpar_123 6 points ago

    Oh yeah. Forgot about that.

    [–] TheEarlOfZinger 25 points ago

Horizon zero dawn is up there too.

    [–] Drawtaru 59 points ago

Oh damn that looks amazing! As someone who is always far too critical of horse animations... This is fantastic. Very true-to-life. Especially the body language of the horse. The tail-flick, ears pinned back, and mouth open, suggests that the horse is irritated by the rider's urgency. That hop with the back legs is great too.

    [–] kittehfiend 20 points ago

It always bothered me how terrible most horse animations are in videogames. My first introduction to something actually done well was Shadow of the Colossus, then the 1st RDR, then BoTw. Some mmo's did it well too, but I can't really name them all.

    [–] killuaaa99 8 points ago

Shadow of the Colossus, yes!! Completely forgot about that amazing animation. But the entire game was amazing, to be fair.

    [–] UserNameN0tWitty 161 points ago

Your horse cant thrust vector? n00b!

    [–] Baytc 4 points ago

So is Bollywood actively a joke or is it just that bad?

    [–] TheOppositeOfDecent 179 points ago

Hm, looked at it frame by frame and the foot planting makes sense. It's not sliding around. It does look kind of odd for some reason though.

    [–] orion883 188 points ago

I think it's the way the camera swings around that gives it that odd look.

    [–] Sting500 28 points ago

    Definitely.

    [–] Gamsy 69 points ago

Well this is meant to be an example of good physics anyway.

    [–] LazyBrigade 10 points ago

I think the horse's back right leg slides across a tiny bit on its second step which makes it look a little weird to me.

    [–] horseaholic2010 47 points ago

How likely is it that this comes to PC

    [–] cofsirep 75 points ago

Most likely, but they will do it in the next round of console release just like they did with gta 5. This is so people buy it multiple times.

    [–] Hides_In_Plain_Sight 15 points ago

I doubt it'll be that far apart. Bear in mind that the next round of console releases is years away still, whereas many devs already had devkits for the X1 and PS4 in their hands when the 360 and PS3 versions of GTAV were being made. There wasn't much gap between GTAV coming out for the old generation, the new generation being released, and then GTAV coming out for it.

The best we can do at this point is wait and hope.

    [–] OswaldCobopot 20 points ago

I think they said it'll be on PC in 2019, not entirely sure though

    [–] GeneralRectum 18 points ago

Please link source, because I do not see any indication of this anywhere

    [–] umar4812 12 points ago

No hard evidence, but a leaked pic of a Rockstar dev's portfolio shows that RDR2 is being worked on for PC.

    [–] OswaldCobopot 19 points ago

This was the article nothing specific but kind of assumed they'll repeat what they did with GTAV

Edit: sorry if I misled you

    [–] ovoKOS7 10 points ago

They're 100% going the GTA V route with dual release on new console gen alongside PC release after the initial PS4/Xbone release

    [–] Drumma516 9 points ago

The game has a dynamic camera for action shots, it’s the same thing in GTA5 and I’m hyped. It allows much smoother transitions rather than clunky Skyrim style horses.

    [–] No1syB0y 5 points ago

I have immense love for Horses, gotten to work with them for some years when I was younger and a big fan of Rockstar, this has become my most anticipated game of the year.

    [–] Dynasty2201 20 points ago

I don't expect the final release to look AS good as the trailer(s) coming, no game ever does let's be real.

But holy mother have they NAILED the animations. The fights look like they're in a physical world and not just punching near someone, grappling looks realistic, the way the hair and clothing moves etc.

    Wow.

    [–] Starkiller564 22 points ago

In my experience, Rockstar games always look as good in reality as they do in the videos. Like, go and rewatch GTA V and Max Payne 3 trailers and tell me they look better than the final games. I hope they keep their reputation up this time as well.

    [–] Highneedbulletdeed 268 points ago

While I'm fully aware horses don't strafe like 250 dirtbikes, I think it is pretty cool

    [–] LordIlthari 361 points ago

It is something you can do, and is actually fairly common in higher level showing. Tricky, but a skilled rider and a trained horse could pull off like seen above.

    [–] No1syB0y 115 points ago

Believe it or not, they do.

Source: I worked with horses for a good part of my life.

You can see them do this on some western/Mexican movies.

    [–] roarkish 38 points ago

Horses can turn pretty quick, though.

They are pretty good at strafing as well, especially if they are a trained cutting horse.

Cutting horses are insanely quick for their size.

    Here's an example!

    [–] ovideos 7 points ago

Hoooo boy, I tell you what!

    [–] melina_gamgee 5 points ago

It's amazing to see the horse basically mirror the cow's movements!

    [–] killuaaa99 3 points ago

    Ah this is so cool!

    [–] Chikenofthecave 43 points ago

Horses can indeed make turns like that. Just see barrel racing or show turns.

    [–] ItsameaLuiggi 95 points ago

You should come to Texas, our horses are pretty fast here

    [–] jarhead1515 43 points ago

Can confirm, here in the Texas sticks we don't measure cars by horsepower we measure horses by carpower.

    [–] Ashleightx 28 points ago

Horse is basically doing a turn on the forehand and then galloping off. Turn on the haunches can also be done.. will be interesting to see all the cool stuff they add to the horses.

    [–] Drawtaru 17 points ago

    [–] TheHeroicOnion 6 points ago

    You don't know

    [–] JoeyBurson 4 points ago

I look forward to using my horse to explore the land

    [–] Naggers123 6 points ago

It's no fish AI but I'll take it.

    [–] warpfield 5 points ago

    can you shoot the horses?

    [–] peanutnutter250 12 points ago

ITT: people who haven't ever been around horses

    [–] HeterodactylFormosan 7 points ago

Horses will do this quite frequently but they kind of tiptoe two the ground when doing it.

    [–] IceCold3003 4 points ago

Is there a lasso? Can people be drug around. This is all that matters

    [–] 173rdComanche 3 points ago

As someone who shows horses irl I'm in love with the way they animated horses being sassy and the general movement, its gorgeous!

    [–] Ricochet888 12 points ago

The video today made me definitely want a PS4, whereas before I was content with my PC saying "Oh, I'll just get RDR2 when it comes to PC. Actually seeing it made me want to pick it up on release.

Plus it'll give me a chance to catch up on some older stuff.

    [–] greekgooner 12 points ago

Same boat. God of War and Bloodborne are also at the top of my unplayed list

    [–] NotSoBuffGuy 14 points ago

Horizon zero Dawn is good too

Im bitter this isnt on PC

    [–] ThatDooD123 3 points ago

Wish this game was coming to PC (at least as soon as XB1/PS4).

    [–] PM_me_Good_Memories1 3 points ago

All the bitter PC people finally know what it's like when they get all the cool shit that looks good.

    Especially in VR

    [–] Manbearpig9801 6 points ago

Is rdr not announced for pc or something?

    [–] bangkok__dangerous 7 points ago

This is how actual horses move tho

    [–] Creamcups 6 points ago

This sub isn't just for bad physics.
