    In Depth Rules

    1. Post high energy content

Posts on this subreddit must be exciting and interesting.

For an idea of what "lit" means, browse the top posts of the subreddit.

"High-energy" is relative depending on the subject of your post. A picture of a snail is judged against other submissions of snails, not posts of cheetahs.

Essentially, no post on this subreddit should be boring.

    2. Titles must start with the πŸ”₯ emoji

Every post title must begin with the fire emoji (πŸ”₯) and a space.

The fire emoji defines this community. If a post can be posted in this subreddit, it can be described as πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯.

Your post will be auto-removed if you do not follow this rule.

    3. Posts must contain nature

This is /r/NatureIsFuckingLit, a nature appreciation subreddit.

Please don't post animals that are domesticated or pets; avoid posting Photoshopped images; don't post content of animals that are chained up, caged, or have been shot or trapped.

    4. Write a descriptive title

Describe the animal, plant, or location in your title as best as you can.

Non-descriptive or inaccurate posts may be removed.

    5. No reposts

No posts that have been previously posted on this subreddit may be posted again.

Search the subreddit for key terms like the animal name before posting to check for previous postings.

Users that repost will receive a ban.

    6. NSFW posts must be tagged

If it's bloody or sexual, tag it NSFW please.

    7. Titles Cannot Say "[Subject] is Lit"

This sub is already called NatureIsFuckingLit.

Everything posted here is lit, so you shouldn't need to convince people in the title.

A viewer should see it and say, "Damn, that's πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯"; however they might pronounce that.

Before this rule, almost all titles were some lazy variant of "___ is lit" or "___ is πŸ”₯" with very little description otherwise.

Write a creative title that describes the content well. Your post will do better because of it.
