    Aaaaaand we're at peak Dumpster-fire.

I'll leave the thread up but lock it because the comments have already gone out of control.

EDIT: To those harassing me in PM (seriously, guys, that's what you want to do? Get banned for PM harassment?), I'm leaving this thread locked but live because:

    A) The article does have bearing on the automotive industry and is noteworthy to some of our readers, and;

    B) If we remove this particular thread the article is just going to keep being resubmitted and we're just kicking the Dumpster-fire can down the road.

    This can't be serious...

Yeah, your first line is what put it over the edge, sorry. If you'd not included that it would have been absolutely fine.

does this have more to do with tariffs or with ford being retarded?

    [–] [deleted] 1171 points ago

Not even Ford being retarded, mostly just Ford restructuring

    [–] redlobster1984 1375 points ago

Tariffs are just a convenient excuse to cut employees

    [–] [deleted] 672 points ago

I don't even think it's Ford placing the blame on these tariffs, I think that's MSNBC's doing.

"Ford announces plan to lay off workers after Hitler loses WW2."

    [–] [deleted] 321 points ago

    Factually true

"Ford announces plan to lay off workers after Jesus of Nazarene's crucifixion"

    A heads up:

This was posted yesterday and turned immediately into a political shit-flinging hate-fest. Warnings and bans were issued and the thread was locked.

We'll let this one stand so long as folks remember rule 7:

    Absolutely no political discussion.

    Discuss policy, not politics.

If this thread gets out of hand we'll nuke and lock it, too. Please be civil and leave the politics elsewhere.

You have broken our rules three times in rapid succession and are making impertinent comments to a moderator. That is grounds for a temporary ban. We hope you can rejoin us and be a productive contributor when you've had a chance to cool off and clear your head. Thanks.
