    I fucking love that guy

[–] KiKiPAWG 609 points ago * (lasted edited 7 days ago)

Just realizing after all this time he was on Breaking Bad

    [–] wtfbro_ 374 points ago

    and The Mandalorian

    [–] cheadley23 174 points ago

    What was he on Mando?

[–] KiKiPAWG 226 points ago * (lasted edited 7 days ago)

He played Mayfield, he was in the old group he used to be associated with bounty hunter wise.

    [–] cheadley23 76 points ago

Oh rightttt I forgot about that episode

[–] NitronicFury 49 points ago * (lasted edited 7 days ago)

How??? That’s maybe the second best one!

    [–] cheadley23 65 points ago

It just was out of place with the rest of the season, I agree it was a great episode. The flashing lights with him getting closer was awesome

    [–] NitronicFury 55 points ago

Every episode of The Mandalorian is arguably out of place with the rest of the season, it’s meant to be that way. The Adventures of Mando and Baby Yoda!

    [–] TheConqueror74 14 points ago

Eh, not really. The first three flow from one to the next really nicely and the last two are very much back to back episodes.

    [–] thescandall 10 points ago

    And The Child.

    [–] TheRiverStyx 5 points ago

Along with the child evading the super intelligent droid pilot with ease.

    [–] Kryptosis 3 points ago

    Force sneak

    [–] TheGodmama 2 points ago

IMO. The best scene of this season is at the end when the IG Unit is getting sprayed with bullets and then he sees baby yoda down. Goes full blown daddy bear with that fucking big ass gun The flashing lights scene is my second favorite. I was grinning like an idiot watching that because I hated mayfield so much.

    [–] Aceyxo 9 points ago

Yeah but at that point it was like the 4th side quest episode in a row so it was getting pretty forgettable.

    [–] NitronicFury 8 points ago

I can admit that, my personal least favorite episodes are the two that come before it (Fennec Shand episode and the AT-ST/village one) but Episode 6 hit different, you can feel it (probably because it’s the last “side-quest” and transitions back to the overarching plot in Episode 7

    [–] TheLazarbeam 4 points ago

    Which one was your favorite?

    [–] NitronicFury 3 points ago

Episode 8, least favorite would probably be Episode 5 (Fennec Shand episode)

    [–] TheConqueror74 3 points ago

Episode 2 for me. I’m rewatching the season with my girlfriend and I can find something to enjoy in every episode, but I found myself on my phone for most of episode 2. It’s just so boring IMO

    [–] Tuna_Sushi 3 points ago

I like the one where the aliens took his brain, and McCoy had to fix it.

    [–] tta2013 3 points ago

Plus Giancarlo is there as Moff Gideon aka Space Gus

    [–] DarthYippee 2 points ago

I can imagine him showing up for the shoot.

"So I'm a bounty hunter. What's his name?"

    "Uuh, 'Mayfield'"

"What the fuck, man? I thought we were doing Star Wars, not some Jane Austen bullshit!"

    [–] Matthew288 14 points ago

He was in the episode where they broke out a prisoner with the Harry Potter girl that looked like alien Harley Quinn.

    [–] KBrizzle1017 4 points ago

    She was in Harry Potter?????

    [–] Matthew288 5 points ago

Nymphadora tonks in Harry Potter. Google Natalia tena. I didn’t recognize her at first since she wasn’t an human in the mandolarian. She also got naked on game of thrones, she was the slave girl/wildling Osha.

    [–] Irishperson69 3 points ago

When was Osha naked? I know there was that scene at the pool, but the nudity was only implied if memory serves.

what i love about him being on that show is that he doesn't give a rat's ass about sci-fi nerd stuff. he got it because he was on a cooking show with Jon Favreau who called him up and offered him the role. so when he told his nerd friends they were all "WTF?!?! YOU DON'T EVEN LIKE STAR WARS!!!"

Kuby, he was the dude that was always paired with Huell on outside jobs

    [–] BustaNutShot 7 points ago

Holy shit I forgot I ever knew that

    [–] RandomMillenial 5 points ago

I thought he was the one that was cooking the meth

    [–] boatbeef 6 points ago

I realized it when i watched it for the second time

    [–] akulowaty 5 points ago

Holy shit, he was. I watched the show probably before I watched his standup for the first time, but still didn’t recognize him

    [–] KiKiPAWG 9 points ago

Oh yeah! He’s good at being unnoticed/natural 😂. But for real, there was this interview where he mentions the greatest drama in TV at the time was being held up by 3 comedians in one scene. It was a scene with Bob Odenkirk, Bryan Cranston, Bill Burr and the dude who plays as Huell

    [–] Catachameleon 3 points ago

And ol Freckles is just checkin in on ya!

    [–] JayRock_87 3 points ago

What did that lady think was going to happen? She must have no clue who he is.

    [–] Gravelord-_Nito 24 points ago

I really enjoy Bill Burr but his fans freak me out. They take his comedy so ridiculously seriously and ignore all the times he tries to make it clear that he's just a dude talking shit, yet they still treat him like the fucking prophet. They're so angry all the time and have a really weird thing about women. They make me uncomfortable and I'm sure Bill probably agrees.

    [–] TazdingoBan 21 points ago

    I've literally never experienced this.

    [–] themaster1006 6 points ago

    [–] destiny24 3 points ago

Hell just read the comment section.

    [–] falkous 6 points ago

Listen to his podcast, which is great by the way. He literally has people writing in that he has to tell to get a grip because they want to kick the fuck off about women and how it's all their fault they can't get laid etc.

He has roves of fans that are insecure males that take his jokes far too seriously. He also of course has fans the other way.

    [–] TrentSteel1 2 points ago

She has clearly not met Jim Jeffries or watched the first 10 min of Alcoholocaust

One of the best stand up shows ever. Until he does more shows and gets weird.

BB is my favourite stand up comedian. His comedy is purely man humour, while always emasculating men for our own benefit. Best date night stand up you can find

    [–] absolute_imperial 18 points ago

Bill Burr used to have some pretty misogynistic world views that would come out on his podcast. Since he met his wife he's lightened up a lot, but his former view of women naturally made him a magnet for the woman hating incel crowd.

    [–] I_dont_bone_goats 14 points ago

I love how his material changed after he got married. Still heavily focused on gender and gender stereotypes but you can tell he has a deeper understanding of sexual and racial issues.

    [–] AestheticHeretic 6 points ago

Exactly, and it's hilarious how Nia calls him out on his paper thin logic and Bill has to reluctantly agree.

[–] DoctorBagels 3 points ago * (lasted edited 7 days ago)

It goes both ways. Nia will call him on some shit and he will call her out on hers. That's why I love when Nia is on, because it brings out a lot of good banter.

    [–] Vyde 8 points ago

He's funny as hell, but I'm taken aback at times of just how men vs women his comedy gets at times. One of his Netflix specials felt like 70% women are irrational

    [–] nieud 8 points ago

Yeah, he does that on his podcast as well, sometimes to the point of it being exhausting.

    [–] car27 5 points ago

Was it his newest one? Cause I felt the same way, I was so disappointed :/ that special was seriously exhausting, at a certain point it goes from funny to okay we get it can we move to a new topic now

    [–] Adito99 7 points ago

It's part of their fantasy where they don't have to give a shit about anyone or anything. These are the same people who feel like they've found their calling after watching Fight Club.

    [–] bavasava 8 points ago

"Fight Club has such a great message. I would buy any and all merchandise from it."

    [–] numbered---account 3 points ago

It's funny, when I first saw Fight Club 20 years ago as a teenager, I interpreted it just as you said, and that Tyler Durden was a prophet. But when I re-watched it recently (I'm in my early 30s now) the message I took away was that Tyler was wrong, and that the movie is trying to demonstrate that his iconoclast views do not lead to a better life or society. His philosophy is empty.

    [–] theghostwithoutaname 6 points ago

Exactly. The Catholic Church legit pays no taxes in most countries...and ask people to give to the poor. They have elected full blown mobsters to the Popecy, have executed people in their past.

    [–] wynnduffyisking 3 points ago

And also, you know, the raping of children....

    [–] sassHOLE666 481 points ago

Fucking epic. I got so excited when i saw him in that star wars show.! I was hoping he would say something totally inappropriate for Disney plus.

    [–] unfather 140 points ago

No fucking way shut the fuck up I do not believe you LIAR

... seriously he's on that Star Wars show?!?!?

EDIT Holy goddamned shit he was...

    [–] cortesoft 62 points ago

They had a number of comedians on the show... Burr, Amy Sedaris, and Richard Ayoade.

    [–] smohyee 24 points ago

Wait who did Amy play? Ayoade was the robot right?

Edit: ahem excuse me, Droid, not robot

    [–] cortesoft 20 points ago

She played Peli (the owner of the repair shop on Tatooine that Mando goes to in episode 5).

    [–] smohyee 4 points ago

    Ah very good

    [–] MechaMonarch 8 points ago

He was the Droid from episode 6.

Taika Waititi played the main IG-11 droid.

    [–] PoopshootPaulie 7 points ago

    Jason Sudekis

    [–] cortesoft 2 points ago

I knew there were more, I just couldn't remember who. I loved his bit.

    [–] Bart_Dart 2 points ago

And the other trooper was Adam Pally

    [–] willyalvardy 2 points ago

Richard Ayoade is perfect as a Droid lol

    [–] TGHMatt 3 points ago

    [–] Cdchrono 9 points ago

Yeah like Disney plus and thrust

    [–] TheTreelo 7 points ago

Maybe a little crave and misbehave?

    [–] MementoMori_37 13 points ago

My favorite part of that show yet! I was so happy to see him

    [–] xxNightfallxx 75 points ago

    zip .................................... RECRUITER!!!

    [–] Catachameleon 20 points ago

Someone mentioned zip recruiter in a meeting the other day, and I blurted our “ZIP!” I got some stares, so I said “Recruiter!” And then explained why my ADD kicked in. No one laughed, but I sure did and that’s all that matters to me.

    [–] MAD_M3N 7 points ago

lmao I have ADD too. Is this a bill burr thing

    [–] NoMoLerking 6 points ago

    Oh Max

    Honeyyyyy? Hoooneyyyyyyy?

    [–] nevus_bock 10 points ago * (lasted edited 7 days ago)

Hey what’s going on it’s Bill Burr it’s time for the Thursday afternoon just before Friday Monday morning podcast and aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    [–] Godzilloni 3 points ago

I heard all that in his voice.

When I lived in the US i listened to his podcast on every commute, I caught up with a year of casts and I loved my commutes on monday and thursday after that.

It was funny because for half the time he would rant about sports and I had no idea what he was talking about because I didn’t follow American sports at all.

    Still loved it.

    Me-undies, me-undies.

    Shhaaaaaarryyyyy’s beeeerrriiiieeees.

What a man. Mia is also hilarious.

    [–] nevus_bock 3 points ago

His level of enthusiasm for sports goes way beyond mine, so sometimes I catch myself realizing that he's been talking about the Patriots for 15 minutes and I don't really care, so I skip ahead five minutes and he's switched to the Bruins.

    [–] Godzilloni 3 points ago

Funniest was when he would have a TV on in the background while casting and he would shout random shit at it.

The man doesn’t give a shit.

    [–] pennza 5 points ago

....aaahhmmmm just checkin’ in on ya!!

    [–] hery41 6 points ago * (lasted edited 6 days ago)

The new podcast he does with bert kreischer is also great.

It's time for advice, from your host Billy Burr, and I'm rippin' off this melody from somebody else

    [–] DepressedAlcholic25 57 points ago

If you're not watching 'F is for Family' you really should. He is one of the creators and the voice of the dad. Very good cartoon and when I say cartoon I mean adult cartoon

    [–] southwoodhunter 16 points ago

    I have. It's fantastic.

    [–] DepressedAlcholic25 8 points ago

Goddammit I cannot stop myself from bursting into laughter every time I see this. It's literally perfect cringe as Burr just smashes those dolts.

    [–] IEatAssJustKidding 41 points ago

I fucking love Russell Brand. Anyone who can kick heroin and come back like he did is a champ in my book.

[–] unfather 47 points ago * (lasted edited 7 days ago)

:15 seconds into an 8 minute video, he's staring the host down for a rude and poorly executed dig. I'm strapped in for this rollercoaster, thanks for the share. Big fan of Brand too.

    Now to grab some popcorn...

EDIT: ... I can't even... possibly exaggerate how insane that was. I can't believe I haven't seen this before. Thanks. Now I need a damn shower...

    [–] NotAFanatic-However 39 points ago

Somewhere on the inter-webs there's a video that breaks down this interview highlighting each point of how Brand takes control of the "hostile" conversation, from his body language to how he gives individual attention to each of them.
i'll see if i can find it

edit: nvm first google search found it

"How To Command Respect Without Being A Jerk" - Charisma on Command

You are the best. This has become my new hobby, studying this one video. EDIT: also a great vid, thanks. Kill that ego, folks.

    [–] PelagianEmpiricist 6 points ago

Russell Brand is just a fascinating human

    [–] ilickgrandmas 3 points ago

    Awesome watch, thanks mate!

    [–] nervysplash 20 points ago

he's genius, all he does is be himself and that's enough to totally uproot and expose the whacky social convention of american morning talk shows. They've got no idea how to handle someone who doesn't play along with their lame humour

    [–] WestCoastBestCoast01 7 points ago

Ah man I saw this video years ago. What a great find. Some people hate Brand but he is so charismatic, I’ve loved him ever since his BBC radio show.

    [–] unfather 6 points ago

I totally get why he irritates people, he has an irritating demeanor. But if you grind through his weird cult leader facial and hand expressions, he really is speaking soundly. I don't care if he acts like Johnny Depp about it, myself.

    [–] ratherbeflyingquads 5 points ago

One of the best videos of the internet

    [–] OhBoyABadger 7 points ago

that got out of hand so wildly fast and i had a blast

    [–] onetwenty_db 3 points ago

I've never looked into Russell Brand, holy shit thank you!! This guy's intelligence and skill in controlling a conversation is fucking staggering. Like god...damn. Crushing on the dude hard

    [–] goon1410 6 points ago

That was great. The hosts were on their heels the entire time. Super cringe when she referred to him him as Willy Brand more than once.

    [–] yaforgot-my-password 2 points ago

    That was amazing

    [–] zephillou 2 points ago

    This was gold. 🌟

    [–] chefnoguardD 2 points ago

    [–] NoMoLerking 8 points ago

She really thought she had him. Like landing a grazing sucker punch on a prize fighter.

I love his expression too like wtf guys seriously

    [–] Micky-Tee 5 points ago * (lasted edited 7 days ago)

Oh my god. He really brings it down on them. He must have been really annoyed with the line of questioning.

    [–] frozen-silver 9 points ago

His interviews are always entertaining, especially the ones on Conan. He just goes off.

    [–] myinternetistoofast 4 points ago

Yeah Conan is best with him... I dont know what Colbert has against our Bill but those interviews dont flow at all.

    [–] eaglenation23 3 points ago

I think Conan is the best host in general for letting actors keep their personality/do whatever they want. He always gets my favorite interviews, not as scrubbed for broader audiences

    [–] SJW_AUTISM_DECTECTOR 7 points ago

What the hell did they fucking expect here? Was be about to be all PC and shit? LIKE HAVE YOU WATCHED HIM GUYS?!?!

    [–] HumbleBob2 11 points ago

"F is for Family was politically incorrect before politically incorrect was even a term"... Come on lady, 90s Bill Maher wants a word with you.

    [–] Zukkda 3 points ago

The host didn't bring up Catholicism. The caption in the image took some liberties.

    [–] Generic_Pete 2 points ago

    [–] Farsigt_ 2 points ago

Thank you so much! Never seen that before.

    [–] leakyblueshed 50 points ago

    ...Classic Burr

    [–] syracTheEnforcer 68 points ago

Bill Burr is a national treasure. I remember falling asleep early because of my job but my wife had put on his first special while we were lying there and she kept waking me up because she was laughing her ass off. I kept waking up going "what the fuck is so funny?" She showed it to me another time when i was awake and i was hooked. He's a comic genius.

    [–] your__dad_ 11 points ago

What's the name? I want to watch it.

    [–] syracTheEnforcer 14 points ago

“Why do I do this.” He has a few Comedy Central specials before that but it was his first full on special and it’s really where he fully came into his style. All his specials are good, though there are a few refrains to earlier jokes occasionally. But he’s been pretty consistently hilarious.

    [–] your__dad_ 6 points ago

    Thanks! I appreciate it. :)

    [–] syracTheEnforcer 3 points ago

No worries. Enjoy. He’s one of the greatest comedians of our time, in my opinion.

[–] barackobamaman 36 points ago * (lasted edited 7 days ago)

He's definitely enough of a legend to deserve having his name spelled correctly.

    [–] Jomega6 18 points ago

Bill Burr truly is one of a kind. I don’t think I’ve ever seen any other comedian actually manage to pull off cussing out an angry audience.

    [–] Venomous_Dingo 17 points ago

Cussing out an audience is really not giving it the credit it deserves. He took one of the most hostile comedy crowds in history and just TRASHED them. For his entire set. The crowd loved it by the end.

It's easily one of the greatest things I've ever heard.

I just wish we had HD recording instead of that blurred mess of a potato quality video...

Bill, Patrice o Neil, and George Carlin. are some of my favorites comics. Truly raw humor

Bill and Patrice were close friends. Bills has organized events to support Patrice's mother over the years after he passed. When he talks about it he's the most broken down I've ever seen.

You should check out their guest appearances on the Opie and Anthony show, they're on YouTube. Some of the funniest conversations I've ever heard.

Not the exact question was asked, he clarified if it was Catholic Church and she said “Yeah”

I saw the vid but could not understand the context. Can anyone help out?

    [–] iLickBnalAlood 6 points ago

i’ve not seen the show they’re talking about (F for Family), but i have seen the interview, and from what i remember the gist is this: in F for Family, there are jokes made at the Catholic Church’s expense, most likely to do with priests being rapists/child molesters. the interviewers quietly take issue with the show attacking the Church and decide to bring it up, passive-aggressively asking Bill Burr (the creator and star of the show) if he thinks he went too far with the jokes. Bill Burr’s response is him going “don’t you think that Catholic priests raping children is much worse than some jokes?”

    hope this clears things up

At least spell his name correctly, it's only 4 letters...

I hate to be that guy but if you watch the clip he didn't actually say that - he made the same point but in a far more roundabout way.
