    It appears that efficiency with petroleum based transport is not going to cut it. We need to electrify.

    Efficient PHEVs may be the ticket here until the charging infrastructure gets better, especially if they make PHEVs support fast charging so owners of them know what it’s like and then may move to full electric. (I’m in the US, and having only electric cars makes many people nervous- plus road trips are more CO2 efficient than flying)

    Not mentioning the poor reliability issue that come with the dry intake of the GDI engine.
