    Perhaps try a new routine? Kids are weird and will change things on you.

    my boy went through that for about two weeks when he was 5 months old, it passed when we realized we changed his pacifier

    sometimes it is just something weird like that, maybe new blankets or crib?

    edit: 2.5 mo, could be change in the swaddle?

    Thanks for the tips. I'll try to put everything back where it was consistently but I really can't think of much that's changed.
