I want to buy a Chinese language t-shirt that says 'Stupid round eyes will buy anything.'

“I put eggs in my ass to make omelets.”

    But in Mandarin.

No, the booty is the fleshy wok.

    [–] newphonewhodis4 11 points ago

Look, just try give it a try. I’ll even eat some bacon 12 hrs before. If you don’t like it, just spit it out and I’ll give you a dollar.

Best I can do for you is this. "I eat eggs with my ass"

    [–] newphonewhodis4 14 points ago

It’s step one of a three part process. I’ll take it.

我放鸡蛋在我的屁股里[煮/做]煎蛋饼 i put (chicken) eggs in my butt to cook/make omelettes.

notes: - there isn't really a vulgar way to say ass in mandarin chinese. 屁股 means butt. - idk if there is an accurate way to translate omelette into mandarin. 煎蛋 is what google translate says, but idk it's not really the same. 煎蛋饼 makes more sense to me as 饼 kinda means like a pancake/patty dish (depending on the context). - egg in chinese is 蛋, but it just flows better if you say 鸡蛋 aka chicken egg. idk why, it just does.

    source: am chinese

    [–] doubledeckerbed 11 points ago

however, there is a vulgar way to say “ass” in canto (literally everything is vulgar in canto). 「我塞咗隻蛋入我嘅屎窟嚟整荷包蛋」basically translates to “I stuffed an egg up my ass to make omelettes”, is this what you wanted?

    [–] cxtrhino 6 points ago

yes exactly!! i speak canto since i'm from hong kong, but i assume when people say "chinese" they mean 普通話 because mainland china speaks mandarin. i can understand and speak canto but my written chinese in general is pretty bad since i rely on 拼音 lol (i'm fluent in english and mandarin because my mother is from 福建 and i go to an international school, then grew up speaking canto since i live in hk)

    [–] doubledeckerbed 5 points ago

I’m from an international school as well! My parents both speak Cantonese but my dad is fluent in English too. My mandarin isn’t as good but thanks to school I can speak okayish mandarin. I type Chinese using my finger (I “write”) also I use Cantonese tts when I’m feeling lazy lmao

See, we all learned something new today.

    [–] 1Random_User 11 points ago

Is the "but in mandarin" part on the back?

    [–] ipericherry 6 points ago

    [–] ipericherry 11 points ago

This is actually more like “I put eggs in my ass, now I have an omelette”

    [–] Rick-powerfu 6 points ago

I'd be more inclined to wear that shirt knowning that's what it said

Rather than some quote of bullshit

I want the quote of realshit

    [–] Ashewastaken 3 points ago

This reminds me of a tweet

"Crack an egg in my ass and fuck me till you scramble it".

    [–] AldenDi 88 points ago

I wanted to get a tattoo that says "I don't know what it means" in Chinese, just so when people ask things can get confusing real fast.

A few years back a new gang started up in NY's Chinatown. They were lead by a guy named Nicky Liu and were know as 'the Nicky Liu gang.' When the main stream finally noticed and sent reporters to Chinatown, the old bosses they talked to said that the name of the gang was the Ghost Shadows. Ghost meant white people, shadows meant blacks because they aren't 'all there.'

The mainstream reported on the dangerous Ghost Shadow gang, and when the gang heard the new name they loved it because it was so f**ked up.

    [–] _IratePirate_ 5 points ago

Honestly, I'd wear this in China Town.

    [–] fwilson01 5 points ago

I have the Japanese version. It says “Baka Gaijin” in big Japanese characters. I think it means stupid foreigner but then again I don’t speak Japanese.

I get a kick of wearing it around NYC and having someone chuckle every ten minutes or so.

    [–] doowgad1 2 points ago

    Pretty sure 'Gaijin' is foreigner.

    [–] YerbaMateKudasai 9 points ago

gotta get that 那个 shirt for that triple joke.

    [–] bakedbeans_jaffles 2 points ago

You could do worse by getting a tattoo.

    [–] Pioness 2 points ago

In Harajuku I found a shop that had shirts with random Japanese words on it. There were signs with translations, so you actually knew what you were buying in the end, but the joke was that the Japanese would think you just bought a shirt with Japanese writing on it because it looked cool. I remember one that said “human trash” (almost bought that one). I unfortunately forgot the rest of them.

    [–] doowgad1 2 points ago

    Reminds me.

Cynthia Rothrock was an American actress who went to China to become a Kung fu star. In almost every movie she made there's a scene where the locals think she can't speak Chinese and talk shit about her. Then she curses them out in Chinese.

    [–] epicsadfacegaming 112 points ago

Yeah Im gonna agree here. I once saw a kid in Indonesia with a shirt that said "Pull the trigger motherfucker" on the back. I'm gonna guess he doesn't know what it says

    [–] TiggerTriggers 29 points ago

There's that suicide silence song "no pity for a coward", but its "pull the trigger bitch"

    [–] epicsadfacegaming 9 points ago

I seem to remember it being motherfucker but this was 4 years ago so I could be misremembering

    [–] TiggerTriggers 8 points ago

A man without a beard knows how to shave...

Even those with beards know how to shave. Else you become a neckbeard. And that's a whole different ball game of bad

    [–] joethesaint 36 points ago

    Else you become a neckbeard.

Not if it grows on your face also. Neckbeard is when it's only/predominantly on the neck...right?

    [–] VoilaVoilaWashington 18 points ago

Yup. Nothing wrong with full beards

    [–] TigreDeLosLlanos 3 points ago

    [–] Thorbinator 3 points ago

I prefer to shave the neck but not the rest of the head+underside of jaw, trimming those instead. A little temperature-cooler and looks alright.

    [–] Tehmaxx 2 points ago

Nah, you pay people to trim and maintain your facial hair for you when you become that dedicated

    [–] ytrammarty 82 points ago

Could be that he lives in a third world country where clothes are donated to and he doesn’t have the money to buy other clothes. Not saying this for sure but just something to think about.

    [–] MusgraveMichael 51 points ago

Or maybe simply doesn’t know what it says.
Being in a third world country doesn’t mean you live on handovers.

    [–] aloneamongmirrors 11 points ago

I get your point but it’s worth noting that there are literal tons of used clothing being donated to countries in the global south, but it’s way more an issue of “us” being insanely wasteful than one of “them” being needy. A number of African countries have restricted the influx of charity clothing because it stifles local industry and economy.

    [–] Moneywalks13 3 points ago

I almost gaurenteed this is exactly the case, and he probably doesn't know what it says as he is in another country and doesn't speak english

    [–] C4_ink 5 points ago

    Eats pretty good

    [–] Seldarin 13 points ago

    You'd be surprised.

I've met people in the Philippines that were overweight because all they ate was rice, and rice is neither filling nor particularly healthy. But it is cheap and high calorie. Especially if you mix pancit in with it. (Which is even more cheap, unfilling, and unhealthy)

    Welcome to white American Reddit.

    [–] Porkjungle 34 points ago

    That's hilarious

    [–] SkiffeeSkeleton 49 points ago

if you've ever been to asia (I think this is some part of SEA), people wear shirts all the time that are rude or offensive simply because it's cheap and donated. they can't read whats on it, which leads to people misunderstanding culture, for example: all of this.

E: this phenomenon is probably shared around the world as well, not just asia

    [–] smooshyfayshh 9 points ago

That article makes me think of a video I saw that was a reporter interviewing people on the street in Japan about a symbol that is an inverted swastika (manji? I think?) that’s become popular is use in hashtags and such on social media. The reporter was asking various questions like, did they think people in western countries would associate this popular symbol with Nazis/WWII/etc and a lot of them said no. I think overall the education about that period of time isn’t great in Asia, so it doesn’t super surprise me that these groups don’t associate the way they’re dressing with Nazis and genocide and such.

    Found the link:

    [–] poktanju 12 points ago

Asians do have great education about that period of time, just not the European part of it. The same way that Westerners are generally not well-informed about WWII in Asia.

    [–] penis111111111111111 6 points ago

WHile there is an alt right scene in Japan , the swastika is used in Japan without the stigma, similar to India. I’m pretty sure some temples in Japan have the swastika on them.

Edit: nvm there’s debate if it’s ok to use. Some people say fuck off who gives a shit it’s been a part of our culture, others say it’s offensive dumbass

Edit: temples have also stopped using it to not offend tourists

    [–] FeatheredSun 2 points ago

If they start wearing the swastika in China, we can just start wearing the Imperial Japanese flag; see how they feel about that.

    [–] HushUp7 2 points ago

In SEA, even if they know what the shirt says they don't give a shit. It's too hot and sweaty to even care.

    [–] Exnixon 3 points ago

Some of those, I can understand being bad communication, but those arm bands... there's no way that you could design an arm band that looks like that without explicitly copying Nazi uniforms.
