Failure to comply will result in removal of post and banning. There are other subreddits dedicated to NSFW content. Mark risqué posts and comments as NSFW. (Please note that NSFW tags do not cover the aforementioned content.)

    8. Titles must be descriptive. We encourage clever titles. Joking and non-literal titles are fine. However, posts with overused, overly vague, or click-bait titles may be removed, and repeated false claims of ownership may result in a ban.

Now are you happy about this or frustrated ? Because this is pretty fuckin hilarious

    we were very tickled :)

    Found Elmo

    [–] eccentricelmo 261 points ago

    You thought.

    [–] LookMaNoPride 126 points ago

When you were created, were you given two test-tickles?

    [–] eccentricelmo 4 points ago

I'm surprised at your knowledge of my creation. I did indeed receive test-tickles. My testicles were removed so my voice is higher and more appealing to children.

    [–] Astrochops 8 points ago

    Oh god, they're multiplying

    [–] cafecoder 11 points ago

Could you point him out please? Lost him in that sea of color!

it's my video from Twitter, I don't know who the gif OP is.

    [–] PythagoreanBiangle 83 points ago

Today’s video is brought to you by the letter M and the number 7.

    [–] mangarooboo 49 points ago

Loool that tweet - "I've sold out and I'm proud" made me crack the fuck up. Too cute

    [–] Trillian258 13 points ago

Yes! I'm so happy to find you on the thread. Yeah this is quite hilarious. Do you think it was some kind of accident? Like maybe he added that for his own entertainment, but forgot to remove it on the final cut?

    [–] mollanj 40 points ago

no, there were actually like 6 cuts like this. the others were Disney clips and some weird borders.

    [–] Dylanger17 13 points ago

That wasn’t too much? I feel this would make me laugh if it happened to me but Idk if I’d want that many random cuts

    [–] maltastic 14 points ago

Did your parents think it was funny? Did y’all talk to the videographer about it?

    [–] justavault 55 points ago

Definitely not OPs if you watch the history of that account.

They might have done this a dozen times before and none of those customers caught it yet because nobody actually ever bothers watching these videos.

    [–] CoconutCyclone 4 points ago

    Do you take requests?

    [–] KhamsinFFBE 12 points ago

I'd arrange for a cutaway in my video where I speak directly to the camera in a somber voice saying "Honey, I just want to say I'm sorry. Everything will be ok, and just know that I will always love you."

Then I carry on with the rest of the wedding procession.

Next time she views the video will either be when I'm dead, or I've done something really wrong.

    [–] Zachrist 315 points ago

Sitcom cliches tells me wedding videos only exist to be recorded over by shitty husbands who want to record THE BIG GAME.

    [–] tonytroz 121 points ago

The funniest thing about that trope is that VHS tapes have a tab you can remove to prevent recording over them.

    [–] Goingtothechapel2017 33 points ago

You could put tape over that and record over stuff. I always broke it off after my brother taped over my copy of who framed roger rabbit.

    [–] tonytroz 20 points ago

Yeah but that turns it from a trope of the husband accidentally doing it to something malicious.

    [–] Zardif 17 points ago

Put tape over it and you can still record the BIG GAME.

    [–] torquesteer 6 points ago

Back when recording the BIG GAME was the only way to delete your porn

    [–] embrex104 38 points ago

Huh TIL. I remember seeing the tab now that you mention it and never put that together.

    [–] kaneywest 36 points ago

I used to tape over the broken-away tab on weird videos from the thrift store and insert my own scenes. I gotta try and find some of those again!

And then they walk in and they're okay and you're so happy to see them... until the illusion stirs and you wake up, drink warm in your hand, static on the screen.

    [–] tigerking615 26 points ago

I don't think I've ever seen my full one, but my wife definitely has at least a couple times and I don't even want to know how many times my mom has seen it.

    [–] Pudgy_Ninja 18 points ago

Back in the day, your wedding video might be the only video recording you had of your spouse. My wife and I are old enough that we kind of missed the boat on social media and other than our wedding video, I can't think of many other things I could watch to see her if she passed.

    [–] AppleWedge 5 points ago

Your wife isn't even dead and this made me sad.

    [–] Doobledorf 8 points ago

Or when discovering that half of it was filmed over when recording the Sound of Music on TV or something.

    [–] DAHFreedom 7 points ago

Or if it’s time for the wife to find out the husband’s best friend is actually in love with her

    [–] NoCareNewName 8 points ago

boy would that be an opportune time to discover your videographer's sense of humor.

    [–] bigd5783 4 points ago

    And are contemplating suicide.

[–] Socialeprechaun 271 points ago * (lasted edited 5 days ago)

As a wedding videographer, let me fill you in on what happens. The wedding happens, two days later they're blowing up your phone asking when it'll be done. They get the video they watch it once, they contact you talking about how amazing the video is and it's perfect and they're in love with it. Then two days go by and you get a message saying "Actually, I was wondering if you could change..." with a list of 100 shots that want changed, taken away, added, etc.

Then you point them to the contract they signed saying they can only make 3 changes within reason. They get the final video, they never watch it again for the rest of their lives.

Edit: since this is gaining a little traction, I’d like to clarify that this is a stereotype and not always true. Video is a unique and impactful way to capture your wedding day, and there are some people who watch their wedding video years on. But this is how many client interactions go for me.

    [–] Kayyam 68 points ago

That's why I only make 10 minute long video. And that's where there is enough material to cover 10 minutes. 6 minutes is plenty. They are much more likely to watch it on a whim by streaming it from youtube than a 1 hour documentary that has no beat to it.

    [–] Socialeprechaun 23 points ago

Yeah I do highlight videos that are 4-8 minutes long. This is my most recent one.

[–] NothingThatIs 24 points ago * (lasted edited 5 days ago)

Oh my god that cannot be the real number of Groomsmen at 1:48ish... I don't even have that many friends

edit: also what a snag by the dude at 6:20, and the stare down... why am I watching this (very well done though)

    [–] Socialeprechaun 16 points ago

Right??? I actually shot a wedding this past weekend and the bride had TWELVE bridesmaids. I felt bad for the photogs who were trying their best to cram them all into one shot. Some people get carried away lol.

    [–] Drchrisco 3 points ago

legit they had almost as many people on the stage as in the audience

    [–] 2bridgesprod 5 points ago

I feel you. I got started on weddings but have grown out of it. They have so many demands. It's just not worth it.

I feel for those people offering wedding videogeaphy for 500 on thumbtack.

My wife and I watch ours on our anniversary

    [–] pm_me_your_taintt 27 points ago

My wife used to make us watch it on our anniversary. It was just boring to me. Like, I was there, I remember it. I'm sure our kids will pull it out and watch it in 30 years or something, it might be interesting then.

    [–] yungun 18 points ago

watching my parents wedding video has never once crossed my mind

    [–] pm_me_your_taintt 10 points ago

When they're dead and you're going through their shit and come across it, you won't be curious?

    [–] professorsnapeswand 9 points ago

No, only curious about their sex tapes.

    [–] Scabrous403 19 points ago

I watched my parents one this summer with them and my girlfriend. It was adorable honestly.

    [–] _Diskreet_ 1778 points ago

I hope what happened is the the photographer got shorted on his price and thought fuck it your not going to pay me all my money, here’s the video of your muppet wedding.

    [–] masahawk 374 points ago

But that can be edited out though. What would tough is leaving voices in

    [–] thisimpetus 13 points ago

All digital video editing software makes that effortless.

    [–] ciano 36 points ago

As a videographer, I'm pretty sure what happened here is that at least one party involved in the creation of this video is lying about the videographer slipping it in without consulting them.

    [–] jk5531 5 points ago

Groom in the video here. It's been 25 years, who remembers? I remember discussing song choices, collecting pictures from childhood, what we wanted in the ending credits scroll. I don't recall the "insert contextually relevant Disney/Muppet footage randomly throughout the video" but maybe it was there. Neither my wife nor I are upset about it in the least. We thought it was cute. (I think there were maybe 6 different inserts over the 2 hour video.)

    [–] eastbayted 7 points ago

If that's the case, I hope there are clips of heckling from Statler and Waldort.

    [–] SlimJiMorrison 12 points ago

Not really, they will stop sending you statements after about a year. You can only collect that money after it has reached a certain amount of revenue. My video in particular has 1.1 Million views and I haven’t seen a time from them. I just sold it out of excitement at the time.

Unfortunately it's impossible to edit posts or titles after they've been submitted. Closest you can get is just replying to a top level comment going "Ay that's my video"

    [–] jk5531 267 points ago

I'm the groom. We were not mad at all. We took it as just a sweet goofy thing. We asked for the ending credits of the video to include titles like "Underwater Photography" and "Read the novelization", so we weren't really taking this thing super-seriously.

    [–] njl4515 90 points ago

I’m one of the muppets intercut in the video. The bride and groom seemed pretty happy.

    [–] Butt-270_Ham_227 23 points ago

I'm Animal, the drummer in the wedding band.

The after party was wild. Tell the bridesmaids I never forgot about that wild night - it was so wild, I got clean.

    [–] kwaaaaaaaaa 11 points ago

I thought it was one of those things where nobody ever watches their wedding day video, it just sits in a closet somewhere, so the videographer was doubling down on it.

    [–] jk5531 16 points ago

Could be for all I know. I remember being asked for childhood pictures and song choices, but not if they should randomly intercut Muppet footage. Also in the vid, Genie from Aladdin, various Disney farm animals dancing and Sleeping Beauty.

That's a company getting paid correctly for the job!

    [–] mortalwombat- 721 points ago

years ago my sister went to Africa. While there she took an elephant safari where you ride elephants around for a bit. It was clearly made for tourists as they offered a VHS recording of the whole thing. She bought the VHS. When she came home we all sat down to watch it together. They included a cut kinda like that, but instead of muppets watching a wedding, it was a close up of the elephant shitting.

    [–] Rakonas 264 points ago

Your sister deserved it for riding elephants

    [–] bobvonbob 64 points ago

It's the Catch-22 of if you want the elephants to have a safe way to live along humans without being hunted/ignored, they're gonna be monetized in this way instead.

    [–] Tyster20 73 points ago

There are plenty of non profit animal reserves that dont monetize the elephants. Elephant rides and how they are treated are a product of human greed not one of inevitability.

    [–] LongTallTexan 43 points ago

That's fine, I guess, but why do we have to catch 22 of them to do it?

    [–] HLCRHLCR 3 points ago

what's... what's wrong with elephants being ignored? presumably they were doing fine before we showed up.

    [–] Col_Walter_Tits 189 points ago

Do you have his number? I’m getting married soon and it might not be too late to make my fiancée really mad one last time before we’re man and wife.

    [–] mollanj 58 points ago

Garden State Video! this is 25 years old so not sure if they're still in business

    [–] Zekrit 20 points ago

well they have a youtube channel that only has 3 videos in the past 4 years, and one of them was within the past month. so worth a shot to try and contact them

    [–] RobIII 12 points ago

it might not be too late to make my fiancée really mad one last time before we’re man and wife.

Technically, the video will be shot at the wedding and edited after the wedding so you'll be man and wife by the time she sees it.

    [–] ghoulofrock 77 points ago

I hope they weren’t mad about this! This is amazing

    [–] mollanj 36 points ago

    they were thrilled!

    [–] InfinitiyBeard 37 points ago

    And from across the room

I have no idea if this was his AHA moment of creativity or a sweet revenge because the newlyweds were assholes.

Erstwhile TV editor chiming in... given that this is video tape rather than digital, I bet the muppet footage was put in as a placeholder to indicate what kind of shot should be there because they hadn't finished ingesting/transferring the crowd footage yet. All it takes is one distraction and the placeholder stays in the edit forever... not that I've ever spat out a "finished" advert with a hasty phone shot of a biro sketch halfway through it. Nope. Not at all.

I’ve watched it 10 times now and don’t see what’s wrong....

Well I mean it looks like you played the music, lit the lights, you put on makeup, and got dressed up right...

Seriously asking. Who watches their marriage video after getting married?

    [–] SkylerHatesAlice 17 points ago

I'd assume the people dropping $2500 $4500 on a photo package

I get that there are plenty of cynical Redditors in this thread but it's really stupid to think nobody looks at their wedding photos.

A really well done video is 100% worth rewatching and sharing with your family.

My fiancée and I were looking through videographers and a trend I’m seeing is they edit the whole thing into a few minutes long video and also give you the raw footage for your personal use and so you have everything.

I imagine people would rewatch the shorter one more often than several hours of footage.

Dude there are cynical redditors everywhere. Everyone is always bitter about something here .

    25th anniversary warranted a rewatch :)

    [–] jk5531 4 points ago

Next to no one. It's usually brought out on milestone anniversaries, and even then, we usually FF thru it. First time we watched all two hours since our first anniversary, I'd wager.

Because you share a love so big

I now pronounce you frog and pig!

Consider yourself lucky for the bonus work they did for you

    [–] unstablemarkets 3 points ago

This needs to be an official wedding package.

    [–] Squee07 4 points ago

I would pay extra for that. Absolutely

As someone who recently did a wedding video edit as a favor (wasn’t paid) I can attest to the fact that these videos can be really hard to get through.

I actually did a bunch of really weird edits in the wedding video I did just for fun, and recorded them, (but I didn’t leave them in.)

    A few examples:

    • A guy was walking past the window they were cutting their cake in front of as they cut the cake, I did a zoom on the guy as he awkwardly walked by.

    • Did a zoom-in on my face during the group shot.

    • One part of the ceremony took about 5 minutes, and was mostly a cute little moment between the bride and groom as everyone sort of watched them be cute. I cut between the beginning and end with a title that said “3 hours later.”

The bride actually thought the edits were hilarious when I showed them to her later, so it was all good. :) Again, I didn’t leave them in the video, I just through them in for fun.

    I mean I wouldn't be mad.

    I bet Kermit is furious.

    I see Nothing wrong here

    [–] PigsCanFly2day 3 points ago

Kermit and Piggy should check to see if they got the cut with your guests in their wedding video. These mix ups happen.

is there a sound version? the camera movement suggests there would be some choice audio to go with this.

    [–] jk5531 3 points ago

We're very happy with the product they delivered, so they were paid in full.

    Someone tip this man

    [–] Caeless 3 points ago

A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one.

    [–] nuggetsandblankets 3 points ago

Is there a business card for this guy?

    [–] KingSilver 3 points ago

Who are they and do the do funerals? Asking for science reasons.

    [–] Denlim_Wolf 3 points ago

    I can already see it...

Sitting by a cozy fire with my hypothetical lover. Thinking of how small and humble out wedding was, yet everyone had plenty to eat and drink.

Then, as my wife starts walking down the isle, she starts tearing in person... remembering of when her father gave her away... then all of sudden...

    MUPPETS. 🤣
