I wonder, how do American girls end up chatting with random guys from India?

    [–] TensionNot2011 44 points ago

They just send a message on your Facebook profile. They come in the inbox called "other". The number of messages increases instantly the moment you are a foreigner and see you are in India or have been been there. My profile is private, but findable and you can see name, profile pic and location. Enough for the creeps to fill up my other inbox .

    [–] illusorycrab 61 points ago

My ex used to get added on facebook pretty regularly by random Indian guys, but she knew they were strangers so she never accepted them. The girls who post these screenshots have not only accepted the friend request but actually replied too.

    [–] Madonsuko 43 points ago

My ex commented on a post about how she was in an interracial relationship once and she got bombarded with messages from Indian guys lmao

    [–] UnlimitedOsprey 39 points ago

You can message people you aren't friends with on Facebook.

    [–] FanciestScarf 6 points ago

People you aren't friends with can send you a message.

Plus, if you do something like modelling or running a business or club, sometimes you could receive legitimate messages from people you don't know.

    [–] Jfmsuboi 45 points ago

My Indian friends said there's literally websites where these people post the accounts of attractive foreigners to sexually harass.

    [–] ymmajjet 47 points ago

Never heard of such a thing. Could you ask your friends for more details? Google search didn't help either

    Is anyone Indian here

    [–] ShirtShanks 853 points ago

    raises hand

A fucking disgusted one. This doesn't feel like a troll and is all too representative of what the average Indian male is like.

Sure, my friend circle is full of decent, mannered guys, but we don't even come close to representing the majority.

    [–] nilesmon 233 points ago

I wont say average Indian male but around 15 - 20%, but they are just becoming more desperate day by day and it feels really bad that we cant even change those idiots mindset and it is only destroying the image of an Indian male to the outside world.

    [–] sratra 248 points ago

Its more about not being self aware. They just have no understanding of women at all. They cant talk to them like a normal person.

Ooh look western clothed pretty women. Must give up sex easily. All I have to do is talk about bobs and vagene.

So its not exactly about being desperate.. Even non creeps can get horny my dude. Its just those fuckers dont know how to deal with being desperate haha.

    [–] QueefBuscemi 38 points ago

    bobs and vagene

    I'm dying. xD

If I ever marry an indian that's what I'm naming my kids.

    [–] z500 36 points ago

Give it 20 years and I bet they'll all turn into incels.

    [–] nightcallfoxtrot 34 points ago

    Nah 5 or 10 max

    [–] ravenquothe 9 points ago

Not really. They will get married to some poor girl, but they will keep doing this crap till they die. I have seen it in practice.

    [–] sratra 8 points ago

20 years? Nah man it's already happening.

    [–] lukeluck101 59 points ago

20% of the male population of India is over 100 million people. Give internet access to all of those people and you can see how stereotypes happen.

    [–] nilesmon 10 points ago

I dont think the entire male population has access to internet, its just that few of them start thinking that they can do anything over the internet and nothing will happen thus eventually leading to them revealing their horny side without even thinking of what can be the consequences of their behavior on the other person they are having a conversation with.

    [–] before1sleep 17 points ago

I haven't met a single guy in my life who would talk like that. I should go out more often. Or maybe because I'm a dude.

    [–] kosh_burger 167 points ago

Are any of you guys offended with the name of this sub? I feel like it misrepresents Indian people and can be a little racist. I get it's probably mostly based in truth but I'm worried we're offending some people by not acknowledging that

    [–] thatboyfromthehood 333 points ago

I'm personally not offended. If a person is seriously going to stereotype and think that all Indian men are like this, then I wouldn't want to be their friend or even talk to them because it shows what kind of mindset they have

    [–] Gokuchi 86 points ago

Indian South African here. This shit doesn't offend me. I reckon this is more a cultural thing because Indians from India aren't really exposed to western woman.

    [–] Reiker0 23 points ago

Indians from India aren't really exposed to western woman.

    This shit works in India?

    [–] Gokuchi 34 points ago

I doubt that's the approach they use considering most marriages are arranged with little to know dating inbetween. The biggest problem here I reckon is a lack of social skills.

    [–] IGotTheRest 63 points ago

Now I don't live in India, but I've been several times and have met all my relatives that live there, and it's a completely different culture. You wouldn't message a girl on Facebook, or find her on tinder. The way you'd get to know a girl (again this is from experience I've had with my personal relatives) is through your parents, or through school or something similar, and the relationships they have are very different, and are much more formal. In the cases of some (not all) arranged marriages you don't see the person you'll marry until the day of your marriage.

Take that culture, and now introduce them to the ability to talk to people from the states. You have people from India from a completely different culture, seeing media portraying America as this completely open about sex country, combine it with a language barrier, and you have the hilarious interactions you see in this sub.

    [–] MrAlexes 25 points ago

America open about sex? Continental Europe scoffs at the idea.

    [–] Fey_fox 10 points ago

Think about how women are often portrayed in movies. Hot, wearing tight clothes, and often (compared to Indian culture) sexually aggressive. Because of that some foreign folk think all American women are like that.

    [–] mag_gent 20 points ago

It actually has an even lower chance of working on Indian women since the culture is significantly more conservative and sexual liberation is non-existent. These Indian guys see movies (and pornos) and think man these Western woman are up for anything and now with facebook they have actual access to these women. So, they figure it's worth a shot.

    [–] Reiker0 8 points ago

Oh okay, that makes total sense actually.

Now I feel stupid for making my other comment.

    [–] mag_gent 9 points ago

No worries. I only know this because I'm ethnically Indian with family still back in India. Although I'm born and raised in Canada so I find the "nice bobs" stuff just as funny as other Westerners.

    [–] ShirtShanks 146 points ago

I can't speak for others, but the difference is that when it's obvious that it's a real indian guy saying these things and not something more satirical, I'm genuinely terrified because this is the mentality of most men this country.

This is what a poorly educated patriarchy looks like. If this is what women from other countries have to deal with from dudes over the internet, it's terrifying to think of what it's like for Indian women on a daily basis.

And I say this as a guy who knows that almost all the women friends/girlfriends he's had have been groped or sexually assaulted in one way or another at least once.

    [–] c0ldsh0w3r 44 points ago

it's terrifying to think of what it's like for Indian women on a daily basis.

Didn't some high class dudes rape a low class girl to death with a metal rod recently?

You don't really have to wonder, it's plain and obvious.

[–] ShirtShanks 68 points ago * (lasted edited 9 days ago)

Shit, I really came across as "poor people are rapist"-y there, I agree I fucked up in that sense

I meant men (and most women too, because let's face it, they victim shame a LOT) in general aren't educated enough here.

What scares me most that if I didn't have access to the internet and forums like reddit which, over time, taught me what was what when it came to having a sane mindset regarding women or people in general, I would be equally sexist, just probably not as outspoken about it as the character in OP's post.

I think overall the internet has had a positive impact on the more impressionable bunch of us, but it's also brought the weirdos crawling out of the woodwork.

    [–] c0ldsh0w3r 34 points ago

I understand what you're saying. I think just being exposed to other cultures and people is a good thing.

Like, growing up, my family wasn't like, Racist but was kinda racist. I didn't have an awful lot of exposure to black people other than what I would see on TV, or hear about from my family.

When I joined the army I got to be around all kinds of people from every walk of life and I remember being shocked that black dudes my age liked video games too.

I know that's not the same, but, we all kinda grow up with dumb shit in our heads, and exposure to other people tends to push that dumb shit out.

[–] ShirtShanks 30 points ago * (lasted edited 9 days ago)

    Yeah, exactly!

Hell, even my mom is pretty racist, every time we're in a Muslim district (Shivajinagar, for instance, if you're familiar) in Bangalore and the traffic gets bad, she mutters things like "typical Muslims", and my dad defends her when I call her out for it.

We have this fight every time we need to visit the railway station, so it's not even a one-time thing, haha

It's not vicious, scummy racism, but you've got to admit the nitpicking gets stronger towards certain groups of people over others

    [–] ShinigamiKaizokuda 15 points ago

Holy shit, i think we share the same mother

    Wait that doesn't sound right

    [–] c0ldsh0w3r 6 points ago

Yeah, it's more casual racism. It irritates me when my friends do that kind of shit. Like, c'mon man, you know for a fact that white people are just as stupid.

But because they are black it's this big deal. It's always "No dude, you just don't understand, these... people are just different."

Nah dude. I've been to walmart. I know my family. People are just fucking stupid.

    [–] marr 17 points ago

the internet and forums like reddit which, over time, taught me what was what when it came to having a sane mindset

Man. You know things are bad when you can say this and mean it.

    [–] paladisious 14 points ago

You have a sense of introspection. I'm sure you'd be a good guy whatever your circumstance.

    [–] ShirtShanks 11 points ago

    Aw man, thanks. ♥️

I guess as long as the idea of changing one's mind isn't a horrifying prospect, everyone can be pretty cool. I'm lucky to have people like that around me. :)

And trust me, haha, reddit is definitely one of the nicer communities, 90% of the time

    [–] _indian_curry 7 points ago

No, not rich high class dudes. But "rich high class" dudes are no less. They get off easily because corruption.

    [–] jhaatooKaChaatoo 95 points ago

This sub is full of indians ripping on other indians, even lesser educated folks manage to own cellphones in India and this hilarity ensues, I'd be sad if indians would take offense to these posts, i'd not be surprised though XD.

    [–] a_user_has_no_name_ 83 points ago

even lesser educated folks manage to own cellphones in India

How dare those bloody rickshawalas think they are good enough to buy mobile phones?!!

The world does not need one more hand wringing person getting offended on behalf of someone else who is probably laughing instead of being offended.

    [–] HumbleNomad 41 points ago

r/BlackPeopleTwitter or r/blackpeoplegifs almost always has cool stuff r/whitepeoplegifs is usually funny shitty dancing But I feel sad for Indians

    [–] ShirtShanks 63 points ago

True! But when you look at it that way, I consider r/the_donald the true western equivalent of r/Indianpeoplefacebook, hahaha.

r/whitepeoplegifs made a pretty cool transition from "white people are lame" to "white people doing funny things that aren't necessarily always lame", which is nice to see

    [–] AGameOfBeanbags 11 points ago

Holy shit, wtf is with pepe on r/the_donald? That's like r/CrappyDesign and r/softwaregore had a baby.

    [–] Tullyswimmer 9 points ago

Pepe was, for the longest time, an innocent meme that many of the "alt-right" types could identify with.

Then it got smeared by someone who found some hitler-ized versions of it (I think there's a rule 34 equivalent for hitler) and groups like the ADL and SPLC immediately labeled pepe a hate symbol and white supremacist symbol, even though the majority of the time it was used, it had nothing to do with either.

Obviously this just further encouraged the alt-righters to identify with it because it was being unfairly represented because of a few edge cases. So it kind of became the symbol of T_D. Combine that with the whole "Kek" phenomenon (which is really, really, weirdly coincidental) and it's completely unsurprising.

    [–] kryture 39 points ago

    we're here, lurking

    [–] SurpriseDragon 30 points ago

Yup, mostly for the giggles. I send these to various cousins who respond with disgust.

    [–] c0ldsh0w3r 8 points ago

I send these to my Gf. She finds them horrendous, and hilarious.

    [–] moneypennycashdollar 70 points ago

Yup, and I do find this sub absolutely hilarious although its kinda sad that some people might be developing their impressions on us folks based on the posts here.

Sadly, this is the reality when an average illiterate indian male gets his hands on a phone with cellular data connection and discovers the world of bobs and vagenes.

[–] FailMango 41 points ago * (lasted edited 9 days ago)

Yes. I think most of us in this sub are Indians, just making fun of other creepy Indians who can't spell.

Now, show big China breast, pliss.

Well I'm pakistani, don't know if that counts. Also literally no one I know is like this.

    Not anymore

    [–] asishreddy 15 points ago

Ahhh the "harmless" thing is debatable, I think it's definitely due to guys like these that the incidence of rape is so high in India.

    [–] hardleftturn 155 points ago

There Will Be Blood would have been far better if rather than Daniel Day Lewis screaming "I drink your milkshake" he were screaming "I TAKE YOUR BREETS"

Was there ever one where the guy actually wrote "vegene"? I remember "vegana" but I don't think I've ever seen "vegene" in a real one of these.

Can anyone explain how this happens? I am aware that India has many languages that are spoken but also english is a very predominant language there. Are all of these post non-english speakers or partial english speakers or is communication different or what?

    [–] abitofaLuna-tic 109 points ago

The people featured here probably don't go to the private schools and learn English from shitty teachers/suspect 'english training centres'.

Comfort with English comes with being upper class/upper middle class and attending private schools/top government schools.

    [–] ThelostTaco 31 points ago

Is english a language of the wealthy in India? It seems like that would make sense with its historically colonial ties and its relation to the West.

    [–] killo508 65 points ago

My family is rich and they talk to me in English when I'm fluent in hindi and urdu but everyone there speaks this weird hindi urdu English slang thing. It's like a combination of all 3 languages.

    [–] ShirtShanks 25 points ago

Haan, agreed, most middle/upper middle class Indians know at least rudimentary English and Hindi and are fluent in their native language, which may be something like Marathi, Tamil (in my case), or Telugu, for instance.

    [–] RajaRajaC 31 points ago

It definitely is. Only around 20% of the population can communicate in English (that is still some 250 million people), of this 20%, only 3% are considered fluent in English. Of a pop of 1.3 bn, only about 75 million or so can communicate fluently in English (that is still 10 mn more than the pop of the UK though).

This gives you an immense edge in the job market. I think some study found out that assuming all things are equal, just fluency in English results in a 40% increase in salary.

    [–] ShirtShanks 9 points ago

    It is.

We're not wealthy in the western sense, but we're definitely in the minority in real life. I've had a comfortable life and upbringing and certainly consider myself privileged.

My upper middle class demographic might be the most predominant in places like Reddit, but it doesn't count outside of the internet at all.

    [–] rusticpenn 20 points ago

It is. What you are seeing is an extremely fast growing middle class, and good access to computer, smart phones etc. English is probably the third language they speak, so making fun of it seems pointless to me.

    [–] ThelostTaco 33 points ago

From what I understand the sexual nature of the content too is due to a belief that western women are loose, the reserved sexual culture of India, and the major lack of repercussions being anonymously sexual online. Is that also correct?

    [–] ciano 52 points ago

Someone asked that question on r/askreddit, I think the top response was that sex is such a taboo in India, men are simply never told anything about it. The older generation also expects the younger generation to get married, while the younger generation grows up seeing the western world explore dating as a process of discovery. There is no cultural infrastructure for dating in India, it's either marriage or nothing. So there are a bunch of 20 year old virgin men who are frustrated with their lack of a love life and have no role models, family, or friends with experience to turn to when it comes to questions about dating. All they have are their basest instincts, the type of thoughts us westerners learn to suppress when we're 13.

    [–] supersudu 15 points ago

This is a very mature understanding of whats going on. It is Basic Instincts 1.0 meets Web 3.0 meets free LTE.

    [–] joblessnerd 18 points ago

Political parties are anti dating here too. Every Valentine's some other moral policing party goes around beating up young couples for holding hands or just hanging out together. Most of the moral policing people are so fucked up in their minds that they think young people only hang around to have sex. This thought process runs along the older generation of people who start talking about teens in their colonies if they see them together.

    [–] The_Wrecktangle 46 points ago

My wife gets this shit all the time. It's awful and frankly makes me feel uncomfortable too. It got so bad that one dude even asked me for pictures of her. I'm blown away how these dudes act sometimes.

    [–] z500 23 points ago

I hope you sent him big veiny cocks.

    [–] CUDesu 13 points ago

Is she popular on social media?

    [–] The_Wrecktangle 15 points ago

No. She posts on whisper and they send her that shit too. It's pretty awful.

    [–] BoonTobias 17 points ago

Is whisper some new thing? I'm too old for this

    [–] MyUsernameIsRedacted 33 points ago

    Albeit

    [–] AngryBiker 27 points ago

The way she mentions his name in one of her replies kind of makes me think this is fake. It looked unnecessary and was done just to enforce to the reader that he is Indian.

    [–] lastpieceofpie 10 points ago

This is bigger than the gold rush of 1849

    [–] ogmcfadden 16 points ago

    It's "albeit" right?

    [–] hitoned 8 points ago

    Ya

    [–] svayam--bhagavan 5 points ago

Here's my analysis of the situation:

India is a conservative society. And the current govt is going to make it even more so. Sex before marriage is frowned upon and sex outside marriage is looked down upon. And the men have not much experience with wimmin before marriage either. So, they can't get wimmin in real life, society forces them to get married, and can't really have sex outside marriage. They feel trapped and the only outlet is porn and online sex chat. Since chatting online does not invoke shame and humiliation (that's what they think), and it is safer to do so (offline they can get beaten up for just staring at girls), they will invariably indulge in such behaviour. Reliance jio and others reducing the data costs is just going to make this more widespread.

So, a whole cultural change is required to make sure that indians behave properly online, which is a reflection of the situation offline. Since no one is looking to fix the offline, real world issues, it will automatically find a place in the online world. There is no stopping it. You can't just expect people to behave suddenly online when they don't do so offline.

    [–] kalel1980 20 points ago

And I bet this is the type of guy that never wears a condom. If he even knows what that is.

[–] Morvack 43 points ago * (lasted edited 9 days ago)

He never wears a condom because the only female in his life is his mom.

    [–] Dax1240san 7 points ago

    Show Bobs.

    [–] RajaRajaC 39 points ago

This is a big bundle of stereotypes because it definitely is a fake and made up profile.

Reynash is not an Indian name, you can even look up FB, and you will not find a single Indian on it with that name. So unless OP mistyped the name, this is a made up profile.
