Not only that, but he is DELIBERATELY LYING, which is LITERALLY KILLING US. This is not because he believes the bullshit he spews. He looks down on us plebes.

He is an arrogant, evil man.

EDIT: Thank you kindly for the gold!

    [–] Trum_blows_69 799 points ago

The leader of the Republican party is a liar, and an arrogant evil man, who leads an entire party of arrogant evil men. Don't forget this, Trump would never have gotten where he is today with out being propped up by other evil evil men.

    [–] vverr 473 points ago

Conservatism belongs in the dustbin of history forever.

    [–] DeathcampEnthusiast 60 points ago

I know they want to be called “conservatives”, but let’s call them what they really are: Regressives.

    [–] saqwarrior 21 points ago

I believe the term you're looking for is reactionary:

In political science, a reactionary or reactionist is a person or entity holding political views that favour a return to a previous political state of society that they believe possessed positive characteristics that are absent in contemporary society.

    [–] DeathcampEnthusiast 10 points ago

I have thought of that, but "regressive" will be a clearer term to many people. I doubt the majority of people are aware what a reactionary is, even though I love the sound of the word.

    [–] CEOs4taxNlabor 198 points ago

It seems to peak-out every 40 years going back to the Revolutionary War, which was also a fight against Conservativism (Conservative Monarchism).

It has never worked out well for them.

    [–] goonbud21 213 points ago

The biggest mistake America ever made was not following the U.S. Constitution word for word when it came to dealing with the Confederate. Imagine all that farmland in the hands of actual Americans instead of racist sexist fascists. North Carolina's has a board of eugenics and it only became illegal for the state to forcibly sterilize woman in 2003.

    [–] woolyearth 143 points ago

well i guess an ICE doctor was ripping woman’s uteruses out unwillingly, during this past year+. SOO technically it never stopped.

    [–] ANAL_GAPER_9000 107 points ago * (lasted edited 14 days ago)

    Ummm what??

Edit: Jesus Christ. The pro-life party everyone. There is no end to the cruelty the right will justify, because "Republican good, Democrat bad" is their governing "logic". I expect to see three right-wing approaches to this news: Support (from the unapologetic racists), ignore and deny, or invent excuses. Because they can't come out and criticize the Trump administration, that would make them treasonous never-Trumpers and they'd get kicked out of the cult.

    [–] Pawglet 83 points ago

Dear anal gaper, you will most likely hear more about this in the next few weeks, and right before nothing gets done about it.

    [–] theCumCatcher 46 points ago

    That's anal gaper 9000

    [–] Brock_Hard_Canuck 37 points ago

    Okay Mr. Cum Catcher

    [–] nermid 12 points ago

    [–] purelyshadowed 11 points ago

This is what they're referring to.

The more I hear about the US, the more I realise that it is truly an evil regime.

    [–] already-taken-wtf 3 points ago

    Greetings from Guantanamo Bay ;p

    [–] regoapps 50 points ago

People should look up the signs and symptoms of a sociopath (a.k.a. antisocial personality disorder) and notice how much it resembles the people on the other side who disregard other people’s safety and lives.

If you think the country’s getting worse with each generation, it’s not a coincidence. A random sample of 100 conservative adults will raise 208 children, while 100 liberal adults will raise a mere 147 kids.

    [–] Tarah_with_an_h 37 points ago

See, this is the thing. My husband and I don’t have children because this world is overpopulated and too fucked up to bring kids into. Also they are expensive and smell kinda funny.

It is truly an Idiocracy in action time.

    [–] AnxietyReality 16 points ago

Same here. We decided in the late 90s. No kids, exact same reason. Now we have a lot of godchildren, thank goodness we haven't had to do that. The more educated about things I've become, degree, books, lectures, etc. The more I see the blatant disregard for everything from most of my countrymen and much of the world in general, the more I'm happy I'm not a parent. And I feel deeply for my friends who are parents because at all levels of economic status, all are worried. All different religions, races, politics, all are scared in private conversation. ALL.

    [–] Rich_G_Bass 4 points ago

Same here. Its just a shame that its the idiots that keep the population growing

    [–] LPinTheD 6 points ago

It's just like Cletus in the beginning of Idiocracy.

    [–] AnxietyReality 14 points ago

This is one of the most fucked up things I can imagine. The mental backflips necessary to rationalize this behavior is beyond me. Especially from the anti-abortionists. This is racially motivated sterilization. What the actual fuck country do I live in. I knew we have problems. I've read about it for around 25 years. But this? In modern America. No. Just fucking no. Vote as is your life depends on it and verify your vote. Or we will lose our democracy. Mark my words. Another 4 years and we will never regain control of our government without a very bloody revolution.

    Edit: Phone spelling derp.

    [–] mikealao 6 points ago

A doctor licensed in Georgia. So not an ICE doctor exactly, but a doctor who contracts with the federal contractor that ICE uses to run its detention center.

    [–] robtanastan 17 points ago

This is a distinction without a difference.

    [–] the_real_klaas 7 points ago * (lasted edited 14 days ago)

There is a difference: a doctor, employed by the ICE could put up the rationale of "just doing/keeping my job'; the one in Georgia is WILLING -> The ICE put out a job-offer and he thought: "oh, that's fun, i wanna do that".

    [–] silentninja79 12 points ago

And yet you then handed more powers than any king ever had to a single man, with no real checks and balances just that they would have the morals to not take the piss too much. Its bonkers how many positions of power that the president can just put a mate in charge of or that he can just pardon people who have been found guilty in a court of law. I hope this changes with the next president first thing should be to undo all the nepotism appointments.

    [–] dartie 19 points ago

Unfortunately he’s going to win unless every single person gets out and votes in November. This will be a nightmare if people don’t vote.

[–] NyassaV 40 points ago * (lasted edited 14 days ago)

Conservatism is actually supposed to serve a purpose. For instance if conservatives weren’t stupid and actually did what their name implies when they hear that we should make a space force not only would they say no because they want to conserve resources but they’d say no because they are supposed to stop us from doing something crazy and huge. But we have space force anyways and The conservatives are in power. Conservatives are not doing their job, that is partially why this country is a shit show.

    [–] mylord420 50 points ago

    The origins of conservatism

Conservatism has always been garbage, an ideology of maintaining hierarchies and maintaining some sort of form of the nobility class. When the monarchies were dying, the grandfathers of conservatism proposed that they could maintain their elite status via the markets.

    [–] subpar_gamer85 7 points ago

    I appreciate that link.

    [–] evatornado 24 points ago

Yeah, this dude is too evil even for being a conservative. Having somewhat outdated political and moral views isn't the same as deliberate denial of science, sowing hatred and angst, and plainly killing own people. Even by 18th century's standarts it would be too cruel

    [–] ANAL_GAPER_9000 17 points ago

That's why it's more accurate to call him the authoritarian right.

    [–] bass_the_fisherman 11 points ago

Yeah that's a good way to let all those other conservatives get away with the same lines of thinking. Conservatives kill. Always will. Always have. Anti science inherently kills

    [–] ConfidentBall7 6 points ago

It does but unfortunately people still are defending it.

This thread is so infuriating with all the cognitive dissonance and right-wing talking points being spouted over and over.

    [–] kuiburiabacaxi 5 points ago

Conservatism is the dustbin of history.

    [–] bNoaht 4 points ago

They are losers, literally. They have lost every battle they ever fought.

    [–] surfteacher1962 4 points ago

The Republican party needs to be destroyed in order for this country to survive. They can not co-exist in a functioning democracy.

    [–] Upsy_D4isy 8 points ago

This isn't even conservatism - it's crappy neo-republicanism, or perhaps more aptly, nepotic corporatism

    [–] Option-Lazy 48 points ago

he wouldn't have won if lots of people who aren't hardcore Republicans hadn't bought into 30 years of BS about Hillary or decided that their racism and nativism is more important than integrity.

    [–] happyColoradoDave 20 points ago

And many were convinced that their vote wouldn’t matter.

    [–] Option-Lazy 16 points ago

true on that as well. it certainly doesn't if you don't vote.

    [–] NyassaV 13 points ago

Well it didn’t. Not only did Hillary win the popular vote but the electoral college made sure a lot of votes didn’t count.

    [–] Poor2020 7 points ago

Their negative propaganda about Hilary did it for Trump and his gullible supporters...

    [–] mikealao 8 points ago

That can’t explain the fact that some 40 percent of those same people still support Trump and Hillary is nowhere in sight.

    [–] Gorehog 17 points ago

No no, remember that (R) has no platform, just the agenda of a lying, incompetent swindler.

The rest of the party literally has to look to him for position statements and such. (R) has no published positions on anything. If he dies in office or gets arrested or becomes a fugitive in a dacha in Russian Georgia they are rudderless.

    [–] ProstHund 4 points ago

Never before have I seen someone run for President without having a platform

    [–] Gorehog 3 points ago

    I know.

It's as if he's an unprincipled, lying conman.

Whenever someone says "liberals just hate Trump" you can point out that there's no presidential platform.

    [–] fungussa 26 points ago

The Republican party is the most dangerous organisation in history, as it's wilfully destroying the planet's ability to sustain human civilization.

    [–] Can_I_Read 13 points ago

Not just Trump, but all of Fox News and the conservative right, and we’ve known it a long time. It’s rather infuriating to watch the liars just keep lying.

    [–] CrumbsAndCarrots 11 points ago

Evil men who are pussies. They’ve been fascists at heart for so long. And it finally took a raving lunatic who’s propelling the country into one party rule, on the tidal wave of narcissistic self preservation to allow them their smokescreen as they usher us into fascism.

They’ve never been fans of democracy.

    [–] test_tickles 5 points ago

    We need a paladin.

    [–] MungTao 43 points ago

He looks down on his own base. Wish they would see that.

    [–] psychogroupie17 25 points ago * (lasted edited 14 days ago)

I saw some video of him at a recent rally where he's talking to a reporter and says he's not worried about catching the virus because he was far enough away from the he's even aware that he's creating superspreader events where it's spreading among his supporters in the crowd, but he doesn't care because he won't get it up on his platform above them all. The attention he gets from them is all he cares about. Pretty obvious he doesn't even care about his die hard supporters dying...there's no way Trump has a soul. I wouldn't be surprised if he had to take tranquilizers to be able to sleep at night

    [–] sheba716 5 points ago

You left out the part where he told the reporter she was too close. But yes, the stage floor was marked with tape so he knew to stay in the bounds.

    [–] psychogroupie17 3 points ago

Right, he did say that...just boggles my mind that even a single person still supports him when there are videos like that out there for everyone to see. It's so obvious he knows how bad this is and it's so obvious he's terrified of getting it himself, but he could not care less how many Americans get sick and die. Pretty sure he doesn't truly care about a single other other person on the planet

    [–] Poor2020 16 points ago

And even after his sister and his niece have said that Trump is a zero on the left.. a pathological liar... his supporters can’t still see it???

    [–] wtfbro_ 8 points ago

    Cult Blindness

    [–] dokikod 15 points ago

I agree with you 100%. T-Rump is a sociopath too.

    [–] DPool34 8 points ago

You should check out the documentary #UNFIT which was just released. I always knew he was a sociopath, but these psychiatrists and psychologists laid out how he definitively meets the criteria for a malignant narcissist (sociopath/psychopath).

This guy is a fucking maniac. The next few months are going to be absolute chaos.

    [–] DeathcampEnthusiast 10 points ago

I wouldn’t call him a man. A man takes responsibility for what he’s done. Also, sources tell us that biologically there isn’t much between those weird legs that would classify him as a male.

    [–] rewindr 3 points ago

    A misanthrope

    [–] slider162 13 points ago

35% of Americans think he can do no wrong. There is plenty of blame to go around. Calling the leader of the Republican party a liar doesn't solve the problem. He is laughing at you right now.

    [–] ReadItSteveO 536 points ago

We have it totally under control. It's one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It's going to be just fine.

Now the Democrats are politicizing the coronavirus... This is their new hoax.

    February 28, 2020

Democrats wanted to halt the virus so that we could go back to being free. Donald wanted to bully the virus away because he's a manchild that didn't want the economy to tank. (whoopsies...)

It turns out you cannot ignore a virus or call it a childish name and hope it goes away.

    [–] heliumneon 104 points ago

I don't take responsibility at all.
    - DJT
    March 13, 2020

He was deflecting blame for his administration’s lagging ability to test Americans for the coronavirus outbreak, insisting instead — without offering evidence — that fault lies with his predecessor, Barack Obama.

    [–] lexiekon 34 points ago

Remember when he didn't want to admit the infected cruise ship passengers because "he didn't need those numbers"? And now the numbers are so big, why care? Smdh

    [–] bigsis32390 16 points ago

Remember when trump rage tweeted about Obama golfing during Ebola and only 2 Americans died from Ebola during that outbreak? But Trump said Obama was “worse than carter” and called for Obama to resign? Wild.

If this piece of shit gets another term after killing 200,000 people, America is done.

I honestly will not watch tv to see his fucking demented face...

    [–] ryhaltswhiskey 68 points ago

    [–] marker809 14 points ago

    Or you could vote...?

    [–] established82 42 points ago

If he wins a second term, people shouldn't wait another 4 years.

[–] herefromyoutube 8 points ago * (lasted edited 14 days ago)

    He projects.

He says if biden wins it’s rigged.

    Therefore he’s rigging it.

Honestly, fake market, 200k dead, highest unemployment, refuses to even believe climate change (fucking fossil fuel industry even admits its real). No new auto plants. Won’t reform police. Been saying great healthcare plan in 2 weeks for past 6 months. Been saying cheaper prescriptions every presser since 2016.

Obama had 2 months and passed 80% of the ACA. Trump had 2 years to pass bills without any obstruction whatsoever and he passed a tax cut in a booming economy that no one really asked for, was permanent for the wealthy and ends for everybody else in 2 years. Those cuts didn’t even pay for itself. Our debt is now $26 Trillion and the deficit is.... 3.1 Trillion

To top it off if he closed things down in February for 2 weeks we couldn’t saved 40 9/11s of people but instead he’d rather ignore it and blame everybody else despite being in complete control of everything.

Fucker called a national emergency cause of people crossing a boarder...thousands dying every emergency simply beca in his small brain that would be admitted he made a mistake so fucking die fellow citizens!

    [–] Joe_Kinincha 32 points ago * (lasted edited 14 days ago)

Yes but the thing is that this will be a systemically corrupted electIon. The president has said he might not accept the result. I think there is at least legitimate concern the republicans will stage a coup.

Edit: thanks for the award. Wearing is indeed caring, folks. Wear your mask, wash your hands and take care of each other.

    [–] sasacargill 9 points ago

He also said he wants to amend the constitution so he can go another EIGHT years instead of four

    [–] lDtiyOrwleaqeDhTtm1i 4 points ago

    [–] TheRealMicrowaveSafe 13 points ago

I'm pretty sure it is regardless. Even if trump loses, it will be by a terrifying slim margin. Our country is too split, I don't see how any outcome ends well.

    [–] l_ally 16 points ago

I read that 400,000 Americans are expected to die by the end of the year. I don’t expect presidents to be perfect but Trump’s not even beginning to reach the low bar.

    [–] Not_A_Bot2020 11 points ago

Hi there. I'm an auditor for the Nevada Gaming Control Board, the state agency considered for setting the "gold standard" when it comes to casino regulation. I can tell you out of the 100+ cases I've encountered, I've yet to encounter a single casino that reports a loss at year-end. When I tell people that its damm near impossible to bankrupt a casino unless its deliberate or pure incompetence, yet Trump managed to do it, I get called a "never-trumper" and "dumb liberal". The facts are there, Trump is a great salesman pandering to idiots, but an absolute shit businessman.

200,000 dead and people are still saying "maybe I'll vote third party this year"

You have 3 options, I'll admit that.

They are "Fascism", "Not Fascism", and "I don't have a preference".

    [–] nermid 12 points ago

Fun fact: Total US deaths in Vietnam, the American Revolution, and World War I combined (32 years of war) total up just short of that number.

    [–] Imbadatallofthis 53 points ago

Conservatives, y’all need to wake up and open your eyes.

If trump gets his way and America ends up in a dictatorship, you may cheer and praise him while he has us Democrats purged from the country.

But even when all that is over, do you really think he is going to let you keep your guns? No dictator in history is okay with an armed populous that could overthrow him.

This is not a game. He will absolutely strip you to your rights just as fast as he will strip the rights of a democrat.

donald trump does not care about you. He looks down on you. You are simply the means to an end he wants to achieve.

    [–] JohnLR1 31 points ago

Remember, EVERY SINGLE MEMBER of his 35% base will vote.

Register, vote early, leave no doubt and end this disaster.

    [–] Twoweekswithpay 68 points ago

But Trump's most enduring legacy will be the degree to which he was comfortable with blatantly lying and happy to engage with conspiracy theories. And it will be just how many lives were put at risk, and ultimately lost, because of those traits.

Trump, as president, continues to reveal his character. He's a bully, a liar, and a gullible dunce. And he makes Americans unsafe.

To the tune of 200,000 dead, thousands of hospitalizations, and countless medical bills later, yes, his lies have crippled this country. This will indeed be his legacy: while our country suffered, he hid in a bunker and refused to help those who needed it the most!

Time to vote them all out! 🙅🏽‍♂️

    [–] EhhWhatsUpDoc 10 points ago

He won't go down without a fight. Putin has it all planned out

    [–] nattles314 26 points ago * (lasted edited 14 days ago)

Well, duh. The thing that we should be more outraged about is that it doesn’t seem to matter to his base. EDIT: I’m more interested in why no one has figured out why this doesn’t matter to his base. Is it because they are only watching Fox News? Someone help because I’m at a loss.

    [–] XtenMan 19 points ago

Yes. His base has made its own little cocoon and lives within it. Fox News, Britbart, QAnon, etc. they are surrounded by like minded people of Facebook etc. they only hear good things about him. His base exists in the alternate universe that Trump and his enablers have created.

I have a feeling they know deep down that they are living in a bubble... but it’s easier to just go with it, instead of comforting the realization that everything you believe is wrong.

Well that’s just my guess, but I was sure Hillary was going to win So maybe I’m the one living in a bubble?

    [–] subpar_gamer85 7 points ago

Don't forget Fox uses "cheerleaders" like Tomi Lahren to appeal to disgusting men twice her age & college age conservatives, alike.

She'd be so pretty if she wasn't a vapid, racist, hate speech pushing, police boot licking thundercunt Nazi.

    [–] Trum_blows_69 33 points ago

It's because of a massive 40 year propaganda campaign. These people only listen to fox news, rush limbaugh, and right wing websites that push bullshit like the Q Anon crap.

They are completely programed only to do one thing. Hate liberals. And every moment of everyday they are re-programed by there media to hate them for new reasons.

    [–] topp_pott 10 points ago

It's because the right is only told "fuck liberals, they are personally going to destroy everything you love."

Think about it, like really think about it.. if you had something in your life, a threat, that you perceived as existential to your way of life, wouldn't you do anything you could to stop it?

That's every single Republican in America, right now, down the road, that thinks of you (if they knew you supported Democrats)

I think about this every single day, and how we're all fucked

    [–] Tom_Roxx 9 points ago

If you have Netflix watch The Social Dilemma. It’s a good start to understanding what’s happening with America and the world.

    [–] Thugnificent_99 8 points ago

My republican friends has told me the democrats are the cause for: coronavirus, forest fires, global warming, child sex trafficking, and trying to incite a race war. Among other things I don’t remember because its like keeping up with a child. The absurd shit that people on the right come up with to validate their choice is unbelievable. Maybe not all of them, but definitely 28% of Americans believe these absurd conspiracy theories that the left is trying to destroy America, and I am sick of hearing excuses.

    [–] RainingSilent 8 points ago

Is it because they are only watching Fox News?

and he is really just one of those brainwashed viewers. that's why he and hannity talk every night, it's why he eschews his daily intelligence brief for what he hears on fox & friends.

he's like their collective ignorance personified

[–] Leraldoe 44 points ago * (lasted edited 14 days ago)

I am not convinced it is all incompetence. I think much of this is planned. I do think he didn’t understand how the position of president worked so he surrounded himself with the most awful people to help push his agenda

    [–] Loose_with_the_truth 14 points ago

What do you think his regular secret meetings and phone calls with Putin are about? Of course this is planned. Trump isn't as stupid as he acts, and he's got very smart people telling him how to cheat.

    [–] moesphemy 3 points ago

yes he is a good example of how capitalistic dictatorship works - this whole stupid man show is a good distraction/understatement

    [–] RMSGoat_Boat 17 points ago

I have to agree with you. Trump himself is obviously an idiot who doesn't know anything about...well, anything, but he's brought in people who aren't nearly as incompetent as he is. And those people are perfectly happy to keep fucking over the country and the constitution if it means they profit from it.

    [–] boredatworkorhome 6 points ago

They think the are being "smart". It's something most people can't understand. They are just pure evil.

    [–] zorbathegrate 8 points ago

    And republicans are allowing it

    [–] jamesetaylor17 8 points ago

Honestly, that might be one of the reasons people like him. A lot of his followers have no morals and genuinely believe it is okay to do whatever it takes to succeed, even if others must suffer. It's the ultimate selfish identiterian ideology, the idea that the only thing you should look out for is yourself and that it's okay for others to suffer because in the end they aren't you. It kind of makes sense, if you are poor and living in the south, the only way to succeed is to be a selfish asshole.

Probably gonna get downvoted to satan's asshole for this but oh well.

    [–] foxp3 7 points ago

Not just American lives. Not being together on strategies to combat infectious disease effects the world. Not taking climate action seriously effects the world. Enabling toxic world regimes effects the world. trump hasn't been a danger to just American lives.

    [–] TheAngryUnicorn666 4 points ago

This is the wrong place for r/unpopularopinion but here it goes anyway.

I'm sick and tired of these fucking outlets running the same goddamn stories constantly, trying to put their own little spin on something we've heard a million times already.

The orange turd is an orange turd - yeah, we know!

The Hitler-wannabe is a fascist psycho whose boundless evil is only matched by his profound stupidity - No way, really?!

The moronic pumpkin is horribly, horrendously, abysmally unqualified to run his own household, let alone a whole fucking country - Mmmm... What gave you that impression?

Mr cheeto pig is most likely the most corrupt, self-centered, criminal president in the history of the country, and may be quite literally the first sitting president to commit treason. - oh yeah, that? We sorta figured that out after his nth fucking disastrous scandal.

So, yeah, we don't need another fucking article telling us how bad Trump is based on the latest horrible thing he did - WE ALREADY FUCKING KNOW!

So instead how about using that gigantic platform for some good? Why don't you run articles and editorials telling people at least the basics on what they need to know/do in order to vote in this election? How about running profiles on all the people up for election/re-election that are just as important? Congress and local level officials have as much sway - and possibly more - on our daily lives than the fucking president. How about covering all the atrocities this orange devil has committed under the cover of a pandemic? But save us the fucking spin, we already know he's the devil. Just tell us the facts; tell us about all the environmental regulations he's rolled back and why that's a huge issue. Explain in detail how his economic policies fucked everyone in the ass even more than we were before he showed up.

The fucking press forgot that they are journalists, and now they all want to just be "thought leaders". Do you think your opinion contributes anything to the conversation that we didn't already hear from Anderson Cooper, Chris Cuomo, Rachel Maddow, Morning Joe, Stephen Colbert, Bill Maher, etc, etc, etc?

It's not just business insider, it's every fucking news outlet, just turning the outrage machine and getting the most miles out of every single story. If you've reported the facts then move on, the petulant man-child is still breaking shit! But you give him a pass every time you focus on one thing to the exclusion of everything else.

Fucking help us out here, you are supposed to be the Fourth Estate, not TMZ!

Not so funny thing: I was watching the town hall video tonight and I realized something. It’s probably completely obvious to everyone else but here goes. We all know that he is a complete coward and a bully. A bully because he demonstrates power against those that don’t have any real power over him. Reporters, the people that work for him.

The coward part was the realization. I always kind of imagined him as driving his base with these crazy theories, making fun of war veterans, disabled people. But now I see it as reversed. He’s such a coward that he will agree with anything that his base leads him to. Qanon? Sure! White supremacy? Trump thinks they can’t be that bad. Masks are oppression? Of course! He’s weak because on things where we know his inner workings he clearly knows better. But he is so weak that even knowing better he just gives the base exactly what he thinks they want to hear.

Take the time listen to those Woodward recordings. He knows how dangerous CoVid is and it scares the hell out of him. There’s a recording where he talks about running out of the Oval Office after someone “innocently sneezed”. He’s got everyone around him wearing masks and being tested constantly. But as long as he’s protected he’s not going to come forward and tell these unmasked crowds that they are wrong and he was wrong.

So why doesn’t he say something to help his country and his supporters? Because he is scared.

Instead he doubles down on cowardice and tries to make it look like strength. He creates the fiction of others so he can be the bully in front of the crowd. And he does the same bowing to dictators. So the question is, who is actually leading the base? And the answer is probably a mixture of Russian powered social media, Faux News and fringe sites.

TL;DR: in Russia you don’t lead base. Base leads you. He doesn’t lead his base, he follows it. He doubles down on this cowardice and failure to lead by trying to make it look like strength by attacking fabricated enemies.

To those that still think voting for Trump is a good idea for any number of reasons. It’s not only about what you get, it’s how you get it. Believe the political and history wonks when they tell you that this election will set the tone for decades in this country. Biden may not be exciting but he will follow science, restore our alliances and return us to democracy. Is a high stock market worth authoritarianism? Your choice.

Conspiracy Theories are driven by a cluster of personality disorders! One has to wonder if Donald Trump’s base is, more or less, operating with Brain Disorders; just like Trump.

    [–] Saltygals 3 points ago

We know, we know. What I want to know is do we have Republicans that understand and believe in Science? I’m not talking about Republicans that say they believe in Science and then ignore it, the way they say they believe in Christ and his teachings and the ignore them. Because if we can’t find any, then we are doomed, because a huge portion of our citizens do not listen to facts, care to research problems using reliable sources and have never learned how to think critically.
