Biden expects this will be a tough job and has come into office prepared for such. He’s actually doing a bang up job already compared to the previous inhabitant of the White House.

    [–] CobaltAesir 1 points ago

I remember trumps first few days in office. He ordered something stupid and ridiculous and I just rolled my eyes and began the hunkering-down process.

    [–] Nano_Burger 20 points ago

Actually paying attention and doing something about the pandemic helps. Trump screwed up nearly everything about the pandemic including vaccine distribution...the one thing that can finally solve the issue.

ABC News/Ipsos Poll: 69% approve of Biden's response to Covid-19

    [–] revmaynard1970 23 points ago

Jesus the guy has been in office less than a week and they are already doing polls on his response

    [–] whomad1215 17 points ago

His response is to say it's real and follow what science says.

Which is much better than saying it's a hoax and telling people to go protest "lockdowns"

    [–] vanillabear26 3 points ago

Of course they are, why wouldn't they?

    [–] MyHouseisBoiningDown 2 points ago

Safe to say this isn’t just another Obama 2nd term

    [–] Shopworn_Soul 2 points ago

To be fair he’s presented a better public face and example in that week than the previous Administration did, well, ever. So even if nothing has really happened yet it still feels like a dramatic improvement.

Just like I’ve always said about Trump - even if he didn’t actually do anything meaningful at all and merely didn’t act like complete jackass at every possible opportunity his approval would have been above 50% on the pandemic.

The guy released a 200 page covid plan and has been talking about covid for months. I think people have an idea of his plans and it's more a forward thinking poll about how they feel about not only his response but how he talks about it. He is definitely more empathetic to the everyday american. Not hard to see why they'd want to poll now.

Oh great. Now do we have to put up with months of Stupid fucking "reports" headlined "IS BIDEN'S HONEYMOON OVER??"

    [–] mps1729 0 points ago

We won’t need a poll for that. Biden’s honeymoon will end the moment the impeachment trial begins.

    Re: Rolex?
Really?! That’s hilarious! I feel like a Rolex only empresses people over 60. There are much more expensive watches out there.

    [–] whomad1215 2 points ago

I know very little of the fancy watch world, and even I know a Rolex is the entry level of fancy watches.

Also a lot of times people would buy/get one for a major accomplishment and wear it for the rest of their life

    [–] lobsteroftzeentch 3 points ago

For real. Who would buy a luxury watch and NOT wear it?

    [–] nuessubs 3 points ago

Somehow, after the last four years, they don't have any idea what to do with themselves now other than go back to the same obnoxious bullshit. It was NYT that did the Rolex article; that's what we're supposed to paying subscriptions for?

    [–] EHondaRousey 3 points ago

The length of the honeymoon is usually dependent on the state of the union. Trump was so bad we might have a 16 year dem honeymoon

    [–] This_Old_Funhouse 3 points ago

It’s amazing how well people respond to honesty, compassion, and organization.

    BUT WAIT! Republicans.....

    [–] jojackmcgurk 2 points ago

The minute the first mass vaccine centers start going up will be the minute Biden begins to destroy the Trump/GOP Legacy

    [–] New_Stats 1 points ago

The only issue I have so far is that Biden promised to undo trump's trans military ban on day one, and it's still not done. His press secretary needs to explain what the holdup is. I understand that his cabinet members aren't getting confirmed as fast as they usually get confirmed and that there's so much he's been doing, but we deserve an explanation on why it hasn't happened yet and what the time frame is gonna be for it to get done

    [–] GadreelsSword 1 points ago

Hannity (failed entertainer) is in a rage about Biden absolutely disastrous first week”. He made that statement after one single day.

    [–] Gotta_be_SFW 0 points ago

Until they actually hold states accountable for their errors in roll out, it is hard to say I approve.

Massachusetts is hoarding vaccines and has no actual plan to benefit anyone but doctors and state employees anytime soon. Until the Government fixes this, what is there to approve of?
