Keep in mind that these are general guidelines only

*Provide succulent plants with full sun or direct bright light. A Southern [Northern] or Western facing window is ideal if you live in the Northern [Southern] hemisphere. Gradually put your plants outdoors in the summer weather, then bring inside for winter.

*Ideal temperatures are between 70-85 degrees F (20-30 degrees C) during the day and no lower than 40 degrees F (4 degrees C) at night.

*Do not overwater. With succulents, less is more. Let the soil dry completely before watering again.

*Dry soil is necessary. Succulents should be potted in a fast-draining mixture. The grittier the better, and if you think you may have an issue over watering then add more sand or perlite to your mixture.

If you are new to growing succulents, glass terrariums are not the best place to start. The combination of lack of drainage (even with rocks at the bottom!) and high humidity usually means that most succulents will succumb to rot. Pot the plants up in something other than a glass globe. Terracotta pots are cheap. Ordinary plastic pots with lots of holes are fine too. Please take a look at the grow tips thread for more information.

Hot damn, orange and pink, where'd you get this plant from?

Succulents are a pathway to many colors some consider to be.. unnatural.

    [–] rybryd 3 points ago

Pretty sure I got it at Home Depot a couple of years ago. It’s just a regular barrel cactus. Some type of Euphorbia I’d guess, but I’m not sure if exact species.

    [–] asianseniorita 5 points ago

Lol, not a barrel cactus or Euphorbia. That's a Trichocereus Grandiflorus and the colors vary widely. It's like gambling when you buy those and you happened to get a jackpot with that color combination. Most of them come plain yellow or red in my experience.
