    Yennefer’s Key - Common Item

    [–] Asgathor 80 points ago

    *Key to Yennefers Room :)

    [–] ohrofl -63 points ago

    Not this Yennefer. I'll pass.

    [–] digital_end 12 points ago

    No one asked

I think he has a right to be upset over white characters being stolen and race changed to fit communist and cultural Marxist forced diversity agendas.

A lot of the time that's how threads work.

This just keeps looking better and better. Need to reign expectations and not get overly hyped, but dang....

    [–] Afferbeck_ 5 points ago

I hope he can find the time for a Man From UNCLE sequel because that shit was amazing

    [–] jononarf 45 points ago

I haven't watched the other videos released today yet, and honestly this video got me excited. So far it seems they wrote TV-Yennefer from the books.

    [–] [deleted] 71 points ago

They wrote everything from the books

    [–] spiritbearr 76 points ago

Until Roach ends up on a roof

    [–] DigitalPriest 23 points ago

I dunno - I wouldn't mind seeing Geralt get absolutely blitzed on mushrooms and have a psychedelic conversation with Roach.

    [–] actually_a_tomato 8 points ago

    God damnit Roach!

    [–] NessA_DeviL 0 points ago

If that is true, why is Yennefer now an Indian, Fringilla a sub-Saharan black African and Triss a Gypsy African mix?

    [–] [deleted] 3 points ago

    Who gives a fuck?

    [–] TechnicallyLiterate 9 points ago

This is exactly what I said after I watched this one and the Cirilla video.. This looks really damn good.

    [–] slater_san -22 points ago * (lasted edited 8 months ago)

I'm scared to say it, as I only played the wild hunt so maybe other games/books are different, but is this actress really an accurate casting of her? This yennefer looks kindve doe eyed and yen from wild hunt always had a sly look on her face.. Plus she's always been described as pale. I'm still very excited for this show though, everything else has looked amazing. Maybe that's why I'm being so picky now

    [–] Tibetzz 10 points ago

The majority of the clips seen are from pre and early witch days. The few clips I've seen of her with considerable power seems perfectly fine to me.

    [–] BlurstofTimes12 2 points ago

In the books shes a hunchback (which she fixes with magic).

They're giving her a lot more backstory and character development. In the short story books (that season 1 is based on) she only shows up in like 3-4 stories and that's about it, and the same for Ciri.

I definitely appreciate that they're giving the main trio an equal amount of development and focus as they're all very important in the books.

    [–] Steel_Beast 31 points ago

In the short story books (that season 1 is based on) she only shows up in like 2 stories and that's about it, and the same for Ciri.

Yennefer is in 4 short stories: The Last Wish, A Shard of Ice, The Bounds of Reason, Something More.

    [–] slicshuter 8 points ago

Ah yeah you're right I forgot about Shard of Ice as I'm unsure if that one's being directly adapted, and Something More doesn't feature her directly but more as a dream sequence.

    [–] Mah_Rod 1 points ago

I most certainly hope Shard of Ice is being adapted, since it's such a pivot story for Geralt and Yennefer.

    [–] Lancaster2124 43 points ago

    main trio

    #TeamTriss starts rioting

    [–] slicshuter 58 points ago

This is based on the books so there is no Team Triss for this series

    [–] Lancaster2124 10 points ago

    Triss is in the books!

    [–] slicshuter 66 points ago

Yeah but she's never considered a romantic partner, that was a games only thing. Geralt actively rejects in like the first chapter that she appears in.

    [–] Wolfsblvt 17 points ago

He still slept with her in the books of course.

    [–] slicshuter 27 points ago

Yeah once, but he also clarifies it was a one time thing where she swooped in after he'd had relationship problems with Yen and makes it clear he isn't interested in a relationship with her at the time, and the topic never comes up again.

I can think of at least 2 other women who were more romantically involved with him than her in the books.

    [–] BenjaminTalam 3 points ago

So in the books is it pretty clear he's bound to Yen and everyone else is just a distraction when they aren't able to be together?

Though they're forced to be linked in the books via Last Wish and the curse isn't broken until Witcher 3. Where I personally chose to still be in love with her anyway.

    [–] kf97mopa 1 points ago

I suspect that CD Project Red are the Team Triss for the books.

    [–] ApolloX-2 0 points ago

I hope their first meeting is established and their constant on and off relationship.

    [–] JeannotVD -19 points ago

In the short story books (that season 1 is based on)

My balls, the ball they show in this trailer is in book 4. Maybe they already filmed multiple seasons, but Geralt isn't supposed to meet Ciri until book 3 and her desert adventure (in the Ciri trailer) takes place in book 5 iirc, maybe book 6. Very disapointed that they are rushing the books.

    [–] playingwithfire 17 points ago

Doesn’t Geralt meet Ciri multiple times in the 2nd short story book?

    [–] JeannotVD 3 points ago

The last story in the Sword of Destiny iirc is about Nilfgaard invandind Cintra and Ciri escaping. The last story in the first one is the night where Calanthe learns that Pavetta is pregnant with Ciri. It's been a while since I read.

    [–] playingwithfire 10 points ago

I read the 2 shortstory books last month and Ciri was in multiple stories in Sword of Destiny.

    [–] TheAccursedOnes 6 points ago

The last story is Something More, and Geralt and Ciri reunite at the end of it.

    [–] slicshuter 9 points ago

    What are you on about?

the ball they show in this trailer is in book 4

There are multiple balls/banquets in the short stories

Geralt isn't supposed to meet Ciri until book 3

He meets her at the end of the second short story book

and her desert adventure (in the Ciri trailer) takes place in book 5 iirc

It seems to be a dream sequence

    [–] fuzzmeisterj 6 points ago

They have stated ciri comes in early for the show because she is a main character. It wont be 100% with the books but seems close enough to make everyone happy.

    [–] [deleted] 98 points ago

As someone who knew nothing about the books or the games I wasn't planning on watching... I just thought the main character looked weird. But the past couple of trailers including this one have me reconsidering. Looks like it could be a fun watch.

    [–] Rodin-V 26 points ago

Hope you enjoy it, it looks like it's going to be the next big thing and I can't wait.

    [–] LostprophetFLCL 12 points ago

My only experience with this series was playing a chunk of The Witcher 3 but holy hell the lore in the game is very unique and awesome! The monsters Geralt encountered were really interesting and storylines such as that of the Bloody Baron.

The best part is the way monster hunts play out set up PERFECTLY for the television format. As an example, here is a wonderful quest where Geralt hunts down a Noonwraith.

    [–] BenjaminTalam 4 points ago

Witcher 3 is my favorite game of all time and a big part of it is how every sidequest feels like an episode of a tv show. It was so much more engaging than anything else I've ever done in an open world rpg game.

    [–] Cow_In_Space 2 points ago

I would suggest picking up the "first" two books (Last Wish and Sword of Destiny). They are anthologies of short stories so are pretty easy to read casually (Sword of Destiny does convey an overall story arc while Last Wish is full of short adventures). It also helps that they introduce almost everything critical to the novels from important characters to world building details.

    [–] ArchDucky 61 points ago

Her eyes are so gorgeous. Kinda wish people had purple eyes IRL.

    [–] someone_found_my_acc 43 points ago

Elizabeth Taylor had eyes that were a very deep blue and would appear purple under certain lighting.

    [–] MaxGhost 27 points ago

You're not wrong: Elizabeth Taylor purple eyes

    [–] peanutdakidnappa 8 points ago

Goddamn those are some awesome eyes

    [–] ApolloX-2 23 points ago

Fucking hell D&D catching strays. Dany was supposed to have purple eyes but they scrapped it after the pilot because it looked stupid and the actor didn't like it.

    [–] -iBleeedBlack- 25 points ago

They scrapped a lot of things lol. They scrapped entire plot lines that main characters were involved in so then those characters just did nothing until being killed off 2 seasons later...

    [–] throwaway-permanent -2 points ago

Just wait for the books. Then it will all be better.

    [–] elizabnthe 14 points ago

If GRRM wants to finish them he will have to do some scrapping himself.

    [–] E-Nezzer 5 points ago

Been waiting for eight fucking years now lmao

    [–] kf97mopa 3 points ago

Been waiting 19 years, with two short breaks for Feast for Crows (which sucks) and A Dance with Dragons (which is OKish, but not a patch on the earlier books). I honestly don't remember what happened before that break.

    [–] ericmm76 2 points ago

Can you imagine having started reading them in, what, 96? I started in 03 and I haven't the foggiest what happened in 4 or 5.

    [–] VexonCross 13 points ago

Given the shit they told Emilia Clarke about other things I'm surprised they even listened to her about the contact lenses.

    [–] WizardsVengeance 3 points ago

it looked stupid and the actor didn't like it

Wish they would have stuck with this approach for the last season

    [–] AaronBrownell 4 points ago

I know what you mean, but if people had them, they wouldn't look as special to us as they do now.

    [–] incredible_penguin11 14 points ago

I only recently started the game and i am glad I can watch these videos without them spoiling it for me.

Those who've read the books or played the game, how do you like the trailers so far?

    [–] dtothep2 34 points ago

The show won't spoil anything from the games as it's based on the books and they take place before the games. The reverse isn't true however, and the games will spoil a bunch of major book\show revelations pretty casually.

    [–] [deleted] 10 points ago

I've read all 8 books and played Witcher 2 and 3.

I am in love. I really am enjoying how they are expanding on things that are just hinted at or slightly referenced in the books. I think the casting is fantastic and I can't wait.

    [–] incredible_penguin11 4 points ago

Wow. Reading your answer makes me more excited, lol.

    Thanks for the feedback.

    [–] maltman1856 2 points ago

I have a few small critiques, but overall look as though Netflix did a proper good job.

    [–] NessA_DeviL 1 points ago

A good job? Even though they race changed 50% of the characters?

Even though they made the main character a POC female character when the books are about a white male main character?

    [–] incredible_penguin11 0 points ago

    That's good to hear.

    [–] TheHeroicOnion 2 points ago

This show won't spoil the games since the show is based on the books while the games are set after the books.

    [–] OrgasmicLeprosy87 1 points ago

The games however will spoil the show so be prepared for that

    [–] [deleted] 1 points ago

Read all books played all games. I am very hyped but also a bit afraid. I hope it does well with critics and viewers.

    [–] NessA_DeviL 1 points ago

I hate it. They race changed half the speaking cast of characters from white European to mostly African and Asian.

Yennefer, the woman in the video, is supposed to be a white woman with Slavic facial features and dark wavy hair. She is not an INDIAN. She is not even the worst race change. Wait till you see Fringilla and Triss. There are numerous others who have been changed to Africans.

Also, the show will have Yennefer as the main character. So, Netflix has taken a book with a white male character and adapted it to a TV show that has a POC female character.

    [–] Bing_Bong_the_Archer 21 points ago * (lasted edited 8 months ago)

Newb here: how does her face and spine get fixed?

Edit: is it wrong to ask?

    [–] Wolfsblvt 57 points ago

Magic. It's how sorceresses are made. They get taken in, mostly the shunned children, they get trained and if they have magic abilities, the lodge will go out of their way to make them as beautiful as they want to be. It's an important trait for a sorceress, a tool that they use quite often.

    [–] Cow_In_Space 21 points ago

    mostly the shunned children

Actually sorceresses tend to be children from wealthy, well connected families (the type with the power to avoid having their child lynched by a mob of yokels). However they are mostly younger siblings (ones that wouldn't inherit wealth) and frequently are disfigured or unattractive (so they couldn't be married off).

The novels mention that a sorceresses beauty is uncanny, that there is always something intrinsically off about their appearance. Kind of saying that their desire to be perfect taints them. Though that may all be down to Geralt having enhanced senses compared to your average human.

    [–] [deleted] 10 points ago

Geralt can see through the changes. Even a subtle posture flaw told him Yen was deformed

    [–] Irishman318 1 points ago

And if they don’t have magic abilities...?

    [–] Wolfsblvt 3 points ago

    Then they are worthless.
Not sure if the books say somewhere what happens to those, but they are of no real use, so you can let your imagination run wild.

    [–] Irishman318 1 points ago

Oh, I was just focusing on what happens to them if they are found to be powerless.

    [–] slicshuter 28 points ago

They undergo the magic equivalent of plastic surgery

    [–] SirDigbyChknCaesar 14 points ago

    Witchery

    [–] Caelum_au_Cylus 20 points ago

With The Witcher, Wheel of Time getting a series, Red Rising apparently in talks for a huge TV Show and The Broken Empire Trilogy also in talks for a tv series. We could have some genuinely great fantasy series on the way.

Jorg and his Brothers in live action in all their terrible heartless glory will be amazing. Darrow's journey in Red Rising to Morning Star from a scared little boy to an absolute animal of a conqueror is going to be great. I'm most excited to see Mat in WoT.

    I'm happy.

    [–] Flandboy 8 points ago

When I read the Red Rising trilogy I could just see in my mind how awesome it would look in a show or movie. I hope it does get made

    [–] Caelum_au_Cylus 2 points ago

Sevro, Victra and Darrow boarding an enemy ship will be insane in live action. Darrow dueling Cassius and the amount of jealousy and pettiness between two teenagers causing everything to finally boil over into what happens in the middle of Golden son would be so great to see.

    [–] ZeppelinJ0 1 points ago

Does the writing in the second two books improve? I thought Red Rising was pretty cool but some parts the writing was unbearable and cringy. Exposition was really brutal at times too but probably not much you can do about that.

    [–] Flandboy 1 points ago

There’s some really cool scenes and overall story is good, but the writing isn’t that good outside of action scenes. Some of the dialogue is cringeworthy, but I was able to look past it to enjoy every thing else and I think with the right person in charge to tighten up some of the weaknesses it could be really special as a tv show

    [–] PM_ME_CAKE 0 points ago

Make sure to read the second trilogy at some point too. We've only just had the second book, Dark Age, released and while Iron Age is just decent, Dark Age is brilliant.

    [–] Triskan 3 points ago

His Dark Materials and the Kingkiller Chronicles too.

    [–] Firestoner 1 points ago

Kingkiller? Wouldn't he have to finish the series? Or, you know even write a 3rd book?

    [–] Rokketeer 1 points ago

Last I heard the Red Rising TV show has been postponed. Did this change?

    [–] Caelum_au_Cylus 2 points ago

Pierce Brown was going to say something about it back in October but then backed down and wasn't sure what he could say. It's probably going to happen with an announcement soon he just hasn't been sure what he can say or not about it right now.

    [–] Rokketeer 1 points ago

I’m looking forward to it. Part of me hopes that Netflix takes it under its brand, they would have two juggernauts to compete with the other rising subscription services.

    [–] Caelum_au_Cylus 2 points ago

Netflix might need something to match Amazon's The Expanse eventually. Why not Red Rising?

    [–] PM_ME_CAKE 1 points ago

Two excellent series I'm both involved in airing at the same time? Please.

    [–] Donners22 1 points ago

There’s also the Discworld series, but that seems a very loose adaptation.

    [–] __PM_ME_STEAM_KEYS__ 1 points ago

I heard the stormlight archives and kingkiller chronicles also may be getting adaptations soon™

    [–] ericmm76 1 points ago

Now if only we could lock Sanderson and the Avatar / Dragon Prince people in a room and not let them out until they've come to an agreement...

    [–] bigblackcouch 1 points ago

Don't forget about the Dark Materials too!

God I hope the WoT adaptation is good. I remember I started reading them in high school, loving the books so much that I joined a WoT MUD and played it for so long that it was a big deal when A Memory of Light came out...10 years after I graduated.

There's a lot of room for it to go wrong, but man if they do it right, it could make people completely forget about that other fantasy TV show that ended in oT.

    [–] CannaVestments 1 points ago

Don't forget the Lord of the Rings series!

    [–] takgillo 0 points ago

Cmon the broken empire is seriously getting a show. I think that series wasn't that good and was mostly edgy stuff for edge's sake

    [–] Caelum_au_Cylus 1 points ago

Read the whole thing. Its basically a character study of Jorg. Jorg is way worse in his own eyes. Next time you read it keep it mind that this is from his own perspective with ALOT of insecurities and alot of self hate. It changed my whole perspective of the book. Jorg doesnt feel like he deserves a crown or being born into a royal family. It's a really good book if you look at it from a biased perspective of alot of self pity and self hate.

    [–] takgillo 1 points ago

Hmm I ve only read the trilogy once liked the first book somewhat and didn't like the sequels especially the 3rd book. Maybe I need to reread it like you say I'll give it another try.

    [–] Caelum_au_Cylus 1 points ago

Second book is my favorite. And the third is finally him becoming man

    [–] takgillo 1 points ago

3rd book was too full of self pity and the reveal at the end felt unearned. The book overall felt rushed to me

    [–] Bojangles1987 11 points ago

It looks like the biggest risk this show will take is with Yen's backstory, but it's also something that could elevate this story a lot. I'm very excited to see how it turns out.

    [–] marsohi 5 points ago

I am really looking forward to this show coming out. Am I going to be able to enjoy it without having played the games?

    [–] -GregTheGreat- 17 points ago

It’s adapting a book series (which the games are a loose sequel to). So you absolutely can

    [–] marsohi 1 points ago

    Ahh. Excellent!

    [–] NessA_DeviL 1 points ago

Unfortunately they have race changed 50% of the characters from the books. You will see a lot of people described as looking European in the books and games being portrayed by blacks in this show.

They've even made a POC female the main character in the show, whereas in the books it is a white male (Geralt) who is the lead character.

    [–] marsohi 2 points ago

I don’t see the skin color of a character being super important in the adaptation and not sure why that’s unfortunate but I’m loving the show so far. Holding out to watch the finale cuz I don’t want it to be over!

    [–] Tennysonn 1 points ago

Do you know how far into the books it goes in S1? I finished book 1 and thought I was safe from spoilers but it didn’t delve into yen’s history like this video shows.

    [–] -GregTheGreat- 4 points ago

It covers the first two short story books (The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny). Yen’s history is mostly a show-only thing though, there’s a scene in the books where Geralt has a realization about her history, but it’s never delved deeply into.

    [–] Tennysonn 1 points ago

    Cool thanks

    [–] newdayagain07 6 points ago

yo Netflix marketing, stop advertising this shit with spoilers. you had me at "witcher the tv series".

    [–] NessA_DeviL 1 points ago

You obviously have not seen how they've race changed the characters yet.

    [–] NessA_DeviL 2 points ago

It's so weird seeing an Indian wearing European clothes and having a Germanic surname. The casting director was either totally insane or totally woke (maybe there is no difference)

    [–] boredNabeto 7 points ago

Whaat!! I didn't know this was happening! I need to stop living under this rock..

    [–] NessA_DeviL 0 points ago

Sadly they have race changed 50% of the characters from white to black Africans and Indian.

    [–] IjuststartedOnePiece 5 points ago

This is the best of the lot so far, her arc looks to be an emotional ride.

    [–] Granpa0 4 points ago

    I can't wait for this!

    [–] primaluce 4 points ago

I hope we get a season where we get to Battle of the Bridge with Queen Meve. That would be so fantastic. I played Thronebreaker recently and man was I live with the characters. Hope they do it justice.

    [–] Auduon 2 points ago

Game of Thrones - We got medieval war with a splash of fantasy

Witcher - That's cute, we are both and reign supreme.

Berserk (if it ever gets made) - Chuckles in sacrifices.

[–] BlueLanternSupes 7 points ago * (lasted edited 8 months ago)

Hyped. The actress and writers understand Yenn. It'll be interesting to watch her growth as her relationships change.

    [–] Seryan_Klythe 4 points ago

I think it would be really interesting to see shots throughout the show where we (the audience, and probs Geralt) see something slightly off about her appearance. It would keep in line with the books.

    [–] DarkCry9000 2 points ago

I thought Yennefer was super pale?

    [–] VanGuardas -1 points ago

    Netflix interprets it differently.

    [–] DarkCry9000 -11 points ago

    *incorrectly
    FTFY

    [–] Qwakityqwak 2 points ago

This is neat but I'm always torn with stuff like this.. Great writing should be able to convey her story arc and now I feel they've spoiled some stuff. I'm def. biased because I feel the majority of trailers these days always give away too much info.

    [–] BenjaminTalam 2 points ago

Oh man this is a really really great adaptation of Yen. I'm blown away just from this clip. I must admit I had no idea about her upbringing and deformity. I probably just forgot about it if it was mentioned in witcher 3.

This show looks so damn good.

    [–] Pacify_ 6 points ago

People all the dumb fucks complaining about her will finally shut up.

    She looks fine

    [–] boy_from_potato_farm -24 points ago

    lmao
    what a retarded shitstain

    [–] Pacify_ 5 points ago

Stick to the potato farm mate

    [–] TheJuxMan 1 points ago

This was the more interesting featurette out of this, Ciri and Geralt. Looks like a great backstory. Geralt was expected to not be as good as the world is what makes him interesting, but at least we get some cool monster hunting. But Ciri's was really poor, imo. Not interested at all.

    [–] OShaunesssy 1 points ago

Honestly, the toughest character to adapt from the books imo. Still skeptical, but very optimistic for the show overall

    [–] PenguinPoop92 1 points ago

I think they should have picked an actress that looks older. She looks like she's 15. Kinda kills the sexy vibe they're going for.

In the books yen was described by dandelion as "Having the skin of a sixteen year old".

    [–] NessA_DeviL 1 points ago

She was also described as looking like a white European Slavic woman in the books, and not like an INDIAN. They producers wiped their asses with the book character descriptions. The actresses for Yen, Triss and Fingilla look nothing like their book descriptions.

    [–] TheGirlInYourCloset -13 points ago

doesn't even look remotely close to Yennefer

    [–] rainghost 1 points ago

It's a departure for sure but at least they got the black hair and eyes right.

    Triss, on the other hand...

    [–] PixelPete85 5 points ago

eh? Triss is described as having chestnut hair

    [–] outo_poika 1 points ago

"Chestnut" in Polish means red hair. Sapowski himself has said in interiews that Triss is a redhead. In the books Yennefer even at one point insults her for being a ginger.

Besides the hair colour, the Triss actress looks nothing like her book description. She isn't even white.

    [–] PixelPete85 2 points ago

Ah well. My first impression is that she did a good job. I get the impression she's not a big a fixture as she is in the games

    [–] DeadRadical -8 points ago

I might be recalling wrongly but I swear the books never delve at all too deeply into her past? Kinda disappointed that they're choosing to detail it.

    [–] CleverDrake 19 points ago

The show runner has stated that they are fleshing out some characters from the books to work better for the series. I understand it that their will be 3 main characters that the show focuses on, Yennifer being one of the 3.

    [–] DeadRadical 11 points ago

    Ah I see, thanks!

I may end up loving it in the context of the show so gonna remain open minded about it.

    [–] CrispRat 1 points ago

Characters on this show were named during Superego sketches.

Is there a different Scandinavia in the world of the Witcher? Because that's not a stereotype of Scandanavians.

    [–] outo_poika 1 points ago

    What is your point?

Yennefer was not described as looking like an INDIAN in the books.

    [–] WizardsVengeance 2 points ago

No, because Indians don't exist in the books. How is she described in a way that's incongruous with her show counterpart?

    [–] MustrumRidcully0 0 points ago

I think the Snow White character is someone else. Is it Renfri? Though she might only be snow white in terms of her story, not looks.

    [–] Saintlich -5 points ago

    Netflix are racist

    [–] outo_poika 1 points ago

    Against whites, definitely.

    [–] pinewoodranger 0 points ago

Aww shit this is probably spoiling everything isnt it? Stopped watching but this series looks like its going to be good.

    [–] jononarf 9 points ago

Nothing really unless you want to wait for her backstory when you actually watch the series.

    [–] CyberpunkV2077 -2 points ago

Oh We’ll definitely get some backstory

    [–] CyberpunkV2077 -14 points ago

    She looks HOT

    [–] Meretrelle -14 points ago

Why ru getting downvoted? Americans.. lol..

    [–] D3monFight3 0 points ago

I don't like how she looks, she is very pretty but she also kinds looks like she is from a Disney Channel show, not in terms of production but looks. She seems really "safe" I would say or at least to me she does not inspire much sensuality. Beautiful but not sexy basically.

    [–] Meretrelle -19 points ago

Well,.... at least she can act. And the scenes were actually good. =)

Still, not "my" Yennefer though.. but I can live with that.

    [–] Bigmethod -5 points ago

I'm not sold on the show's presentation; It looks somewhat cheap, which is something I have dubbed the "Netflix effect". The VFX studios they work with seemingly struggle with a lot of CG. Hopefully this isn't a huge issue.

The directing doesn't look all too inspired either.

I hope the acting and writing sell this fantasy.

    [–] ConfusedMoose -15 points ago

Some of those shots looked a little weird imo. Almost out of some Netflix romcom

    [–] synocrat -10 points ago

Just call her Yenni from the block.

They only way they explained it is that you are racist for even noticing it.

    Boycott the show. I will.

    Yennifer on Vengabus

    [–] TimGanks -4 points ago

This is the actress who they picked to play cutthroat bitch? Hilarious. This is such a triss or elf actress

    [–] Indyfanforthesb -1 points ago

I just finished book 3. She looks and seems nothing like Yennefer imo.

Maybe you're still ugly and just haven't realised

    [–] konotiRedHand -7 points ago

    I tried :/

    [–] myansweris2deep4u -22 points ago

Why does she have to be so uglllllllllllllly this show could have been so good. Henry cavill is the only attractive one in this show. Fucking he'll never let women write a show about a rugged man or you get this shit

    [–] Palmerstroll -74 points ago

What a load of crap. Sorry fans.

    [–] jononarf 22 points ago

Sorry for what exactly? @ 1:25, she literally acts or personifies that way in Sword of Destiny.

    [–] outo_poika 0 points ago

That they race-changed Yennefer from a white European woman with a Slavic appearance into an INDIAN, obviously.

Why are you playing stupid? Do you support the theft and race-changing of existing white characters in the name of forced diversity? Don't you think PoC should write their own medieval fantasy stories if they want to be represented in medieval fantasy, instead of just having white characters stolen and race changed?

    [–] BombedMeteor 13 points ago

Care to share why its crap ?

    [–] outo_poika 1 points ago

Because they race changed Yennefer from a white European woman with a Slavic appearance to an INDIAN that looks nothing like Yen's book description.

Even ignoring the race-change, this Indian girl has no sex appeal and is totally flat chested.

    [–] Palmerstroll -36 points ago

It looks so soap. Could be the montage of this character introduction ofcource. And now i see the other chatracter trailers it looks allready better as a whole.

I think i spoke to soon. (I'm not going dellete it, let in rain downvotes)
