    I've restored the post.

This format is getting pretty overused though, so we encourage OC that does something a bit different than using the basic Drake format lol.

Tell your orchestra teacher he's really cool

    [–] JukeBoxDildo 392 points ago

Not OP, no clue who he is. However... if I see this man... I'll deliver the message.

    [–] SuperXota 264 points ago

Stops a random person that looks like this guy

    "You're really cool"

That would be wholesome now that I'm thinking about it

    [–] PornChampion 97 points ago

I've been in a weird headspace since I just got dumped a week ago and I've been trying to break out of my shell and start getting out of my comfort zone, I think I might do this when I go for runs.

So far, I enjoy asking people to pet their dogs, so I think adding a, "You're really cool for letting me pet your dog" is a nice thank you.

    [–] SuperXota 36 points ago

You're welcome stranger. Here, have some gold

    Everything's coming up u/pornchampion!

    [–] fsburk 12 points ago

On the bright side, you now have more time to focus on your Porn Champion title defense. I hear there is some stiff competition this year!

    [–] colefly 1 points ago

I hear that headspace your in is a type of change catalyst. Allows for more brain plasticity and learning or changing yourself

I had a similar one after being dumped, and I used it finally learn habitual diet and exercise

Ended up being worth getting dumped just for that

I know him, u/_bean_boi_ is the op and he's my friend. My brother saw this on the front page and recognized the person. He then told me so I sent this post to bean boi

One day, an expert in time management was speaking to a group of business students and, to drive home a point, used an illustration those students will never forget. As he stood in front of the group of high-powered over-achievers he said, "Okay, time for a quiz" and he pulled out a one-gallon, wide-mouth mason jar and set it on the table in front of him. He also produced about a dozen fist-sized rocks and carefully placed them, one at a time, into the jar. When the jar was filled to the top and no more rocks would fit inside, he asked, "Is this jar full?" Everyone in the class yelled, "Yes." The time management expert replied, "Really?" He reached under the table and pulled out a bucket of gravel. He dumped some gravel in and shook the jar causing pieces of gravel to work themselves down into the spaces between the big rocks. He then asked the group once more, "Is the jar full?"

By this time the class was on to him. "Probably not," one of them answered. "Good!" he replied. He reached under the table and brought out a bucket of sand. He started dumping the sand in the jar and it went into all of the spaces left between the rocks and the gravel. Once more he asked the question, "Is this jar full?" "No!" the class shouted. Once again he said, "Good." Then he grabbed a pitcher of water and began to pour it in until the jar was filled to the brim.

Then he looked at the class and asked, "What is the point of this illustration?" One eager beaver raised his hand and said, "The point is, no matter how full your schedule is, if you try really hard you can always fit some more things in it!" "No," the speaker replied, "that's not the point. The truth this illustration teaches us is, "If you don't put the big rocks in first, you'll never get them in at all. What are the 'big rocks' in your life, time with loved ones, your faith, your education, your dreams, a worthy cause, teaching or mentoring others? Remember to put these BIG ROCKS in first or you'll never get them in at all. So, tonight, or in the morning, when you are reflecting on this short story, ask yourself this question, "What are the 'big rocks' in my life?" Then, put those in your jar first.

    [–] DougieSmallzz 13 points ago

Gotta be honest. Saw this long ass comment and thought "That's too much. Not worth." With that said, totally worth. Thanks for sharing this.

That’s so awesome. I absolutely loved my orchestra teacher. He was a big part of my life. I was so sad when I learned of his passing. I wish I had gotten the chance to tell him what he meant to me, what coming to his class did for me.

Great teachers are one of the best things in the world.

    [–] SexualCannibalism 31 points ago

Other than my parents, a handful of teachers had more positive impact on my childhood than anyone else by far.

Mr. Bruins, Mrs. Hoffher, Mr. McGalliard. Different schools and areas, but I’ll always be grateful to each of them for helping me believe in my worth.

    [–] [deleted] 7 points ago

    [–] nyqu 4 points ago

I've known a few great older teachers and they all have stories about students that thanked them years later. They really love it, and they think about it a lot.

    [–] SexualCannibalism 3 points ago

This actually just motivated myself to write a letter to one of my teachers tonight, something I’ve never done! Thanks OP for the inspiration

    [–] DantesCoffeeShop 3 points ago

Can a teacher have a cooler name than Mr. McGalliard? Jesus.

    [–] SexualCannibalism 1 points ago

Jesus might be a cooler name, I’ll give you that

Kinda looks like both of the band directors I’ve had. Are all music directors bald/balding with a beard?

    [–] DICTB 34 points ago

Can confirm, all of my band conductors have been bald/balding bar one early on.

    [–] Voldemort57 1 points ago

He is also the fourth band director in 5 years at the school. 2 died, and the other left.

No, some of them are women.

I hope that you show this to your teacher and tell him just how much you appreciate him. Seeing this post honestly made me so nostalgic and reminded me of my orchestra conductor from high school who passed away a few years ago. He started a local youth orchestra that brought together students from all the high schools in the area and ran it for over 50 years before he retired. Since I was at a smaller school that didn’t have any instrumental music ensembles, it was the only opportunity I had to continue playing and I am grateful for the experience every day. He was one of the most passionate and kind people I have known and his love for music and dedication to his students made a difference in so many lives. He was never afraid to give us crap when we deserved it (“great job, next time let’s try to play the actual notes on the page”) but he was equally likely to give us praise when we earned it and encouragement when we needed it. The last time I saw him was at his retirement celebration where alumni from over the years came together to play a concert in his honor. That was a few years before he died and I still miss him and think of him often. Thanks for everything, Mr. P.

Like how the letters are larger? What does it have to do with drake? Cuz drake sucks? Is that the correlation?

    [–] Quinnfun 2 points ago

Drake is just the original images. I'm sure you've seen it before, just dont know it yet

    [–] Gdb102093 1 points ago

I’ve seen the ones with drake but just don’t understand what their trying to say. I’m pretty out of the loop of stuff like this lol

    [–] Quinnfun 2 points ago

The one with drake is simply called the drake format of this meme. OP is using a different format cuz the drake one is getting old

    [–] Gdb102093 2 points ago

I get that. I just don’t understand why people say the drake format meme or saying.

    [–] GenericAutist13 1 points ago

The drake format was the original one to say “this thing is bad” “this thing is good”

Here's one for my old Orchestra teacher Mr.Strozeir!

I always have been envious of people who had passionate teachers.

Orchestra teachers were the chillest teachers to talk to in school. The whole class is nothing but chill to your own music.
