[–] Trans Mountain oil spill 48 times larger than B.C. government first reported - Canada AlligatorDeathSaw 1 points ago in worldnews

So what are you implying? Blame them for something you know nothing about and is completely speculative. I agree there needs to be sufficient oversight of the industry from neutral entities but you’re making a mountain out of a mole hill and looking for any reason to get outraged

Finally a reasonable comment. We need to look at each spill in context to continue creating an accurate risk profile for future operations. Stop just getting upset because you hear spill

The industry is still expanding. We want to phase it out but realistically it will be part of our economy for another 50 years. That’s still quite a bit of time. And the industry is a large component of Canada’s economy and that can’t be dismissed. The project would stand on its own if they could get cooperation from the B.C. provincial government

Oh that's ironic...you want everyone to take your opinion as fact while simultaneously complaining about how people just want to be right and don't listen

Definitely snow. Prevailing winds and terrain features can cause snow to build much more in some areas than others. Also, if the area is sheltered from sun in the spring, the snow melts much faster

It's a wet snow avalanche. They are actually very common in the spring and in warm conditions. They have can have massive impact force at low speed and travel over low angle terrain
