[–] Ex-Nixon White House counsel: Mueller report 'more damning' than Watergate BoneHugsHominy 3 points ago in Liberal

This. Ronald Reagan and GHW Bush should have been impeached, tried and executed. Instead they are Republican Saints.

[–] Wells Fargo Passwords Still Are Not Case Sensitive BoneHugsHominy 2 points ago in personalfinance

The only thing more confusing to me than people still banking with Wells Fargo is people who never change their passwords.

[–] Wouldn't the Pattern slowly run out of matter as things slowly get balefired out of existence? Maybe over billions of cycles BoneHugsHominy 6 points ago in WoT

Correct. The Wheel can course correct the Pattern but the more threads, the more impactful threads, and the amount of power used to burn those threads further back make those corrections more difficult and potentially reality shifting. Some of the dead portal world's could very well be former main patterns that had so much balefire damage that only the land was left as the weave of life threads were obliterated.

[–] peanut butter and eggo bacon egg sandwich . BoneHugsHominy 1 points ago in drunkcooking

I've never heard of this sub. It had 2 upvotes and 1 comment at the moment it showed up at the top of my feed. I mean, sure that's a fine breakfast sandwich, but it shouldn't be at the top of my feed. How does this happen? Did OP pay Reddit to get this post there, or does OP have a first cousin or best buddy that works in the Reddit offices?

[–] Canadian who had heart attack while jogging in Florida saved by stranger — from his hometown BoneHugsHominy 13 points ago in UpliftingNews

Clear evidence of a Canadian invasion. We need to build a wall to keep these overly polite Lifesavers out of the country, but more critically out of Florida so they cannot interfere with Florida Man news.

[–] Saw the guys post earlier about eggs on cast iron. Lots of people said cast iron is the wrong tool for the job. Your all wrong. BoneHugsHominy 1 points ago in castiron

Last week I made a fluffy French Omelette in my Finex and the outside had zero browning whatsoever. It was my first omelette attempt in probably 10-12 years. Two things pissed me off though. First, I made it for my teenager for breakfast and he took so much time coming to get it that it had completely deflated so he missed the results of my labors. The second was I didn't take a picture to show him what he missed.

[–] There Are Immediate Calls for the Impeachment of Both Attorney General William Barr and Trump After the Mueller Report Exposed a Cover-Up to Protect the President. BoneHugsHominy 0 points ago in worldnews

Wrong. Oh so wrong. The pre-Trump Republican Saint Ronald Reagan negotiated with terrorists before he was even elected, promising the terrorists weapons if they held on to American hostages until after the election, then followed through on that promise by selling them weapons, but also armed Central American terrorist groups while flooding our streets with crack cocaine. You probably don't know about or remember any of this because Reagan's Vice President pardoned all the key players while another GOP lackey helped cover up the worst of it. That GOP lackey? None other than current Attorney General, William Barr.

[–] all these ej18's, ej22's, ej205's, fa20's out here blowing head gaskets right BoneHugsHominy 1 points ago in subaru

Needs to be checked cold, otherwise it expands and gets sloshed around the innards making it impossible to get accurate reading. I usually check it in the morning before I leave home to get fuel. Otherwise the next morning.

Every 4k or 6 months (spring & autumn), whichever comes first. I want to get my oil changed just after summer and winter is over because the temperature extremes is harder on the oil & engine. It's probably not nearly as much of an issue with modern oil and engines, but I've been doing it that way all my life on farm vehicles & equipment, my dad's Freightliners when he was still trucking, and family vehicles. Even if it's unnecessary to change it that often, either miles or time, it's a small price to pay for peace of mind and engine longevity.

17 FXT owner. I check my oil every time I fill up my gas tank. Never been even slightly low, but I also only have 15k miles on it in 2 years. But two oil changes ago the dealership told me it was a quart low and I was obsessing over how that could happen since last fuel fill. Was never low after that oil change or the next one, so I can only conclude that guy was either full of shit or had my FXT confused with someone else's. But that first month after being told it was low had me in oil anxiety.

[–] I fell in love with roasted garlic BoneHugsHominy 14 points ago in Cooking

This sub certainly has its share of people with really poor reading comprehension skills.

I could definitely see adding regular mayo to roasted garlic bread doing the same.

You're being downvoted because of your failure to comprehend. No more. No less.

[–] TIL Mike Tyson's Training Regiment included waking up at 4am, jogging 5-miles. Then he would do 2000 sit-ups, 500 pushups, 500 dips, 500 shrugs and about 30 minutes of neck bridges daily. He repeated this 6 days a week. BoneHugsHominy 1 points ago in todayilearned

You are a monkey, or more accurately an ape. A hairless, weak, fragile, slow monkey that makes really weird mouth noises. You also just so happen to have a lot of endurance, are really fucking smart, can plan & coordinate, and make & use a variety of tools. You're basically the Batman of the animal world.

[–] Always had a hard time picturing live trollocs BoneHugsHominy 18 points ago in WoT

Don't like it for Trollocs. Trollocs are supposed to be oversized men with twisted animal features. If you've ever seen the excellent movie 'An American Werewolf in London' then imagine that crazy transformation scene, but it just stops midway as the snout/muzzle has protruded through the face and the hands & feet have lengthened and grown. There's lots of hair but not quite a fur coat. Now instead of it being a werewolf it's eagles, rams, bears, boars, etc etc, and they are all 9-10 feet tall, weigh 400 lbs, and can run faster and farther than a mounted horse.

[–] [TV] KELLY VALENTINE HENDRY - WHEEL OF TIME CASTING DIRECTOR...Repost seems first post was moderated... BoneHugsHominy 11 points ago in WoT

Not in his face, but from his peripheral and whenever Rand turns his head in that direction to look at him, he appears in the opposite peripheral so Rand can never really look at him. Have the voice kind of muffled/canned so it sounds otherworldly. I'm sure they could ask people who suffer from auditory hallucinations to get a feel for how it sounds to them, then try to engineer the sound to match. With surround sound the voice would seem to always come from behind regardless of where LTT is "located" as the books repeated describe the voice coming from somewhere in the back of his mind.

Just finished that a week or so ago. I actually loved it.
