[–] It’s creepy when a straight man tries to convert a lesbian... It’s just as a creepy when a gay man tries to convert a straight guy. Cleytinmiojo 5 points ago in askgaybros

I disagree. Sexuality is very much defined by who a person is sexually attracted to. If a guy is sucking a dick is because he wants to do it and is into it, otherwise he wouldn't do it. Who they want to marry is just their romantic attraction and that has no bearing on sexuality. A person can be bi (who they feel sexually attracted to) and still want to only date girls. Even if they never engage in sex with a man for their entire lives, the philological response to a certain sex is what defines sexuality.

I disagree with this part: "sex with dudes is fun to everyone!... straights, gays or whatever label you want to apply." That's the same as saying sex with girls is fun to everyone. It's not. As a gay guy I don't feel any sexual attraction towards women, and they actually turn me off, and the same is true for truly straight guys. I agree we should have more accurate labels though, maybe instead of saying "I'm straight" or "I'm curious", we should say what we are into instead, like "I feel attracted to girls" or "I prefer girls bit I'm not against banging guys either".

[–] Copying in firefox is broken. Often just copies a empty string. Cleytinmiojo 5 points ago in kde

I believe that should be fixed in 5.23. Just wait until Fedora updates Plasma.

[–] Vivaldi or edge Cleytinmiojo 15 points ago in vivaldibrowser

Edge on Linux is still in beta. Both use the same engine so they should be comparable performance-wise. Choose Vivaldi.

You should try conservative treatments first before considering surgery. Many people find relief with them and end up not needing a risky surgery. Some people even get better over time. In some cases a surgery is necessary, but only as a last resort.

[–] I’m about to give up and just end my life. I’m being honest here but withholding it from my doctors. I can’t live this way. Cleytinmiojo 5 points ago in AskDocs

You could try asking for a second opinion from another specialist and specifically ask for some pain relief drug. If they don't listen to you, try finding another one. I know it's not that simple but it's necessary to find a good doctor that can bring you relief. There are many drugs out there that can help with pain and a doctor can definitely prescribe one. As for the drugs that gave you another ulcer, it's always best to take them after eating. A doctor should also be able to prescribe something to decrease the likelihood of getting new ulcers. Anyway, drugs are not a solution, but they can help you with your pain. You should try to find out exactly what is causing your pain. One test came out clear? Ask what else you can do to get diagnosed. It's clear there's a problem, so there must be a cause, and discovering the cause will aid your treatment.

I know pain is hard to deal with and sometimes it seems there's nothing you can do, but I guarantee you there's always a way to find relief with the right treatment. While it might be expensive or frustrating going to many doctors and not getting definitive answers, you must persist and try to find out what is going on. Maybe try searching for specialists on the GI tract, or even ask a doctor if there's a possibility it's not caused by your stomach but by something else entirely. Maybe a nearby organ.

Please don't give up, you can get better when you find the right treatment.

[–] am I an homophobe ? Cleytinmiojo 22 points ago in askgaybros

First, you couldn't be homophobic because she's trans, not gay. Second, you're not transphobic for not wanting to have sex with her. She's just an asshole that can't deal with rejection and no one owes anyone sex.

[–] KDE + POP! OS = Black Screen Cleytinmiojo 7 points ago in kde

It's not recommended to install Plasma on a system that already has another desktop environment. You should choose a distro that ships with Plasma by default or bug Pop OS devs to make a Plasma version of their distro (unlikely).

[–] Compiz Burning Effect animation on KDE? Cleytinmiojo 1 points ago in kde

If someone wanted, they could quickly make it, but again, no one cares enough to program it.

[–] Compiz Burning Effect animation on KDE? Cleytinmiojo 1 points ago in kde

I'm not joking. No one made a burning effect compatible with Kwin as far as I know.

[–] Why is "tap to click" greyed out on everything based on Ubuntu? Cleytinmiojo 1 points ago in kde

Ubuntu is probably shipping outdated drivers. You should file a bug report to Ubuntu developers.

[–] KDE is turning 25 years old soon. What is one thing you appreciate about KDE? Tell us in the comments! Cleytinmiojo 5 points ago in kde

    1. I love how exciting KDE software is. Everything is constantly evolving and improving, and new things are being added that you never knew you wanted.
    2. I also appreciate how users can discuss, influence and get involved directly with projects.
    3. The KDE Community feels so organic and human. It's the complete opposite of companies where everything is under closed doors and everything feels so sterile and cold.
    4. KDE software is what brings back the excitement I had about computers back when I was discovering new stuff as a kid. That feeling faded for a while, but now it's back because I can check all the details, discussions, and anxiously wait for new updates and project announcements.
