[–] Sourav Ganguly wants Virat Kohli to give players 'consistent opportunities' Cyril0987 -10 points ago in Cricket

Makes you wonder how the hell Koach would have managed strong personalities like Gambhir, Sehwag, Sachin, Ganguly, Bhajji, Yuvi, Kumble. He would have created a rift storm.

Bad tactic by WI against Kohli/Rahane. Both were troubled by the bounce and pace in the first inning. Should have gone with pacers on both end and close quarter field like the 1st inning.

That's a bad title. He was asked whether he will join Indian for t20 world cup is needed. And he said "Who can say no to team India?". What was he supposed to say there? No i won't join them for world cup.

The title makes him look bad for no reason. Full interview

Sir Jadeja still standing strong. I wonder what could have been if he was playing up the order in tests and one days from the start.

[–] Virat Kohli: I find nets claustrophobic Cyril0987 -14 points ago in Cricket

That's a big give away of one's weakness to opposition. If it was me, I will surround him with fielders and wait for him to lose his nerves. Which is exactly what happened yesterday with West Indies.

Why all the hoopla? Make coach/captain one position as Koach likes it. He fired Ray Jennings and replaced him with Daniel Vettori. The ex-South African wicket-keeper-batsman Ray Jennings later said that he neither got a phone call from Kohli nor had a chat about the change in plan. However he did say the following things later on.

People generally don’t like being questioned and their shortcomings pointed out but I knew what I did was for his, and the team’s well-being.

He is a very talented kid but sometimes thinks he is better than the game.

    And this,

As captain, I think, he is still not at his best. The Indian cricket system has to feed off Virat Kohli. Going from MS Dhoni to Kohli has been a drastic change. Dhoni is so calm and Kohli is the complete opposite. He can be intimidating the dressing room and sometimes his teammates can wonder who Kohli really is.

There can be a fear factor in the dressing room and you don’t want that with so many youngsters coming into the side. Indian cricket, thus, has to find people who can help and influence Kohli into ways of improving and becoming an even better leader.

Then he fired Daniel Vettori for India's best ever coach Gary Kirsten.

And now even Kirsten is replaced with Simon Katich. Either he needs Yes men like Shastri and Vettori or he replaces them after one season like Ray Jennings, Kirsten and Kumble. Even the India A and U19 captains have better leadership qualities.

cinematography is just beyond bland. Absolutely zero atmosphere, especially weak for a movie taking place in the 50's

lol. Stop nitpicking. It looks good. It's not an art house film.

No it didn't. What are you talking about?

[–] Match Thread: 1st Test - West Indies v India, Day 1 Cyril0987 2 points ago in Cricket

lol, yeah. We don't even have footage of india's first world cup final game.

Koach went with 4 bowlers today, so between Si Jadeja and him, he was dropped.

Well the change is right there in front of them with Gill. A classic batsman, up the order who can play swing and seam.

Sunny G has a tendency to pick up the accent of whoever is sitting next to him. I am sure it's not intentional but still very amusing.

As for Ganguly, you know what was happening at the time in KKR. Read about it. After one season as captain they came up with the infamous 4 - 5 captain strategy. Plus KKR interference with decision making. Read about it than get back to me.

[–] 'Don't think us batsmen have lived up to the standard' - Virat Kohli Cyril0987 -3 points ago in Cricket

Going by that. Let's mention Dhoni for the success of Kohli, Rohit, Jadeja, etc. Kohli and the team mgmt hasn't given anyone any opportunity to establish. Are you fucking delusional? You know how many players they scrolled through before ending up with the 3D player in the world cup at #4. Pant gets thrown at the deep end without getting a chance to get used to international cricket challenges and pressure. Jadeja was in and out of the playing 11 before those two games. These dumbasses have not been able to build 2 players in the middle order for 2 and a half years now. So, no i won't give credit to them. And i won't blame anyone else too. They fuck with players mentally by playing RTG's, no fixed position and when they don't perform they are out the door for someone new to be fucked over by them. Fuck them.

[–] 'Don't think us batsmen have lived up to the standard' - Virat Kohli Cyril0987 -9 points ago in Cricket

No. Kohli likes superstars. Bumrah was given a long rope at Mumbai Indians for 2-3 years before he started making a mark and selected into national. Chahal and Yadav were also part of the MI setup long before national came calling. Yadav was played in the deciding dharamshala game by Rahane and Anil Kumble against Koach's wishes. And who wouldn't want Bumrah in test setup when he is performing so efficiently.

Sir Jadeja was #1 all-rounder in the world when he was started being used as the 12th man in the setup. Ashwin is top class test bowler also ranking in top 10 all-rounders around.

Koach has not groomed a single player during his stint. He came in the height of IPL and local talent boom and picked up the star players off of that. Case in point, look at RCB, the way that team is handled will give you all the insight you need.

He is a dumbass captain, with his dumbass selections and strategies. And will remain so.

    Suck my ....

Fanboy this, fanboy that. I am a fan of cricket. And Bewda/Koach are fucking up that.
