It’s what you attribute those differences to that makes a difference.

I don't see anything wrong with the conclusion that genetically different groups, produce different results. I understand the tension around the conversation, but a fact is a fact. Stating that fact doesn't make you a racist.

It's possible. Fat lot of luck finding out though because no one's allowed to look too closely at the differences and try to determine why they occur without being called racist. Most people are too afraid of any slope that might so much as hint in the direction of supremacy to allow the conversation/discussion to even exist.

    That's not what he said.

There are legitimate differences between the races and the sexes, often small enough to be insignificant on any scale but broad generalizations but they exist none the less. Men are generally stronger than women, and black individuals have a higher risk of heart disease. Black men seem to be some of the best sprinters in the world, specifically west African.

Stating the fact, that some groups categorized by race have a higher representation at the top percentile of intelligence, is not racist. It's certainly not white supremacist as you're implying, considering Asian groups perform better than white on things like LSAT's

    Use "get off my lawn!"

The opponent has fled from battle!

[–] What's up with the hashtag #YoutubeWakeUp and how all of this is related to monetization on YouTube? DeoFayte 3 points ago in OutOfTheLoop

To use a very very extreme comparison.

    Hitler loved his dog.

When someone is right, they're right, regardless of who they are.

Better to make an effort to find the person and verify than to just assume it's a good gesture.

[–] What's Up With White Men Not Being Allowed To See Captain Marvel? DeoFayte 9 points ago in OutOfTheLoop

A Wrinkle in Time,” Larson said. “It wasn’t made for him! I want to know what it meant to women of color, biracial women, to teen women of color.”

Larson elaborated on this point, saying that it wasn’t about excluding white men, but including those who have historically been marginalized.

I think she needs to read a dictionary.

Exclude ~ not taking someone or something into account.

Include ~ containing as part of the whole being considered.

If you're making a movie to focus on one group, you're not being inclusive, you're focusing on one group. I've nothing wrong with that, and I agree that it probably isn't done with the intent to exclude other groups, but by definition it does exclude them, so again, not inclusive. A movie with something for everyone is inclusive, a movie focusing on one group, is not.

[–] What's up with YouTube and child exploitation? DeoFayte 10 points ago in OutOfTheLoop

Most every channel was effected by the Adpocalypse. That's why it was such a big deal. In no way, shape, or how, was most every channel on YouTube a part of the problem that sparked the Adpocalypse. In no way, shape, or how, is most every channel on YouTube a part of the problem being discussed today, but as advertisers start pulling out, and YouTube makes changes to their algorithm, once again we could see a decline across the board in ad revenue. Which would make it an Adpocalypse 2.0

Parties are group activities, red cups are just passing by.

[–] What's the deal with the #KickVic hashtag on Twitter? DeoFayte 7 points ago in OutOfTheLoop

    bias overshadows fact

    acting sleazily at cons

What you see as sleazy, others see as just overly friendly. He goes too far, as you can't assume every fan wants physical contact just like you can't assume everyone on the street wants a hug, but some people are just that damn friendly and there's nothing sinister behind it.

If you look at it expecting to see someone taking advantage of fans, that's what you'll see. I haven't seen anything more than someone who's just affectionate.

Would make pole dancing even more impressive.

[–] How many genders are there? *Pause* DeoFayte -1 points ago in LivestreamFail

Gender is the categorization of expressions/traits between the two sexes. Masculine/Feminine. There are aspects that are socially constructed, such as high heels being feminine, and there are aspects that are biological, such as muscles being masculine.

While there is a spectrum of positions between 100% masculine, and 100% feminine, no one is, or has to be 100% of either. In fact most people sit somewhere in the middle with a lean towards their sex. These are not hard rules, men can be nurturing, women can be protectors, but we do recognize, due to observed prevalence, that there are behaviors and traits more common in one sex over the other. In fact if you were to attempt to graph out someone's position on that spectrum between hyper masculine and hyper feminine, most people's position would literally change often, between different points in their lives, or even from moment to moment.

We consider, to paint a simple example, a gay couple where one's gruff and protective and the other is effeminate, as both men. They're clearly different behaviorally, and those differences get categorized as personality, not gender.

Problem, finding a girl who's good enough, or enjoy's the right games, that gaming together doesn't feel like a burden.

My GF loves Rocket League, but she's terrible at it :(

[–] Gamers need to rise up! DeoFayte 3 points ago in gaming

That's because we literally can't multitask, it's a myth. What we're really doing is bouncing back and forth rapidly, spinning plates. You can't give your full attention to two things at once, no matter how much we all wish we could. Some rare people are spectacular at spinning plates, most of us aren't.

[–] Gamers need to rise up! DeoFayte 1 points ago in gaming

Well you didn't really dodge that bullet, more like a graze, but still kicking! Good luck with the next one.

[–] What is the deal with Ann Coulter? DeoFayte 7 points ago in OutOfTheLoop

Reddit as a whole would be a slightly left leaning representative, with some subs being obvious exceptions, due to two facts.

City populations tend to skew left leaning.

People in cities are more willing, possibly even more able due to speeds/infrastructure, to spend more of their time online.

100% would. Never underestimate how petty people can be.

Besides, if the game does it once, it'll do it again. If you can't play the way you want to play, go play something else.

You're correct that disorder is more accurate.

Illness being a disease or sickness, doesn't accurately represent gender dysphoria.

I was replying to tony and incorrectly used the same incorrect terminology they used.
