I'm not sure I want to hear the story behind your username

[–] Should I tell my friends I know they have a second group chat without me? DossTheBoss123 1 points ago in NoStupidQuestions

I don't really mind at all, it just makes me feel weird in some way. Still, they probably have a good reason.

I actually rarely say anything on the group chat, so I'm pretty sure it's not because I'm annoying. You're right though, it could just be that they have a common interest and had a chat about it. Didn't think about that.

I learned that through the multitude of comments pointing that out, I just thought that because I'm legally an adult at 18, I'm no longer a teenager, as if they were mutually exclusive.

Also, I hadn't thought about the whole "teen" thing because English is my second language, and this trick doesn't work in French.

That's for sure. I'm just not afraid of whatever life will put in front of me.

I've always been told that you were a teenager from 13-17, because you legally became an adult at age 18. I guess it depends on where we live.

I'm not sure about all of that. I don't really mind grinding (I actually like school), I'm financially responsible, and I have the grades to get the job I want (engineer) that will probably get me enough money to live comfortably. I could be dead wrong about all that though, we never know what life will throw at us, and I don't have the experience to judge how adulthood actually is like. I'll take your word for it, but I still think that I'm more ready to be an adult than 95% of the people my age. Again, I could also not be as ready as I think I am. Only time will tell.

Of course I know that adulthood is extremely stressful, I don't live in a bubble. All I was saying is that when you're shooting the breeze with your friends over dinner on a Friday night, you won't be thinking about any of your problems because you'll be having a good time.

Also, I don't know where you live, but in Canada, you're an adult as soon as you turn 18.
