Absolutely! Please don't make the mistake off cutting therapy when you feel like you don't want to talk or having difficulty talking. That barrier is exactly what you need to break down in therapy, might take weeks or months. I won't lie, it can hurt like hell, you might feel terrible after a session but rest assured once you feel your way through it, you can process it and begin to truly move past it. Best of luck - I am positive it will make a big difference!

The things is, when I found out I was always upfront. I owned up to the fact that I snooped. The mistake I made was not telling him: this is it, you lied and while I too did something horrible (i.e. snooping in his bag) I own up to it but if you can't give me honesty or you think you can deceive me then this is it. I always hoped that he would see that I was trying to help, that I wanted to foster a deeper relationship by working through those issues. In the end it got so bad that he was expecting me to look instead of being honest and talking to me about why he felt the need to lie and decided to get purposefully hurtful. That was my final straw. I am not perfect and I was as open as I could be to him about having issues trusting him after the first time. I started going to therapy and learning so much about myself this past year while he didn't view me or the relationship as a priority. In the end even we need to cut our losses. I don't regret sticking in it for so long but I know that I can't do something like this a second time.

That's when I was finally able to pick up my boundary off the floor and told him: we're done. You can only trample on somebody who is fiecrly loyal to a fault before they have had enough. Setting boundaries is now my no.1 priority so that I can't get hurt like that again.

Yes, I've had that experience. In my case it was my ex-boyfriend lying to me about something very significant and then trying to cover it up. I knew something was off but he kept trying to placate me into believing that it was all in my head (I don't think he meant to gaslight me but in the end that's what it was) and I spent about 4 months in the dark before I finally had the courage to look through his things and found the lie. In no way was it right for me to look through his bag but in the end, I had to do it for myself and put my mind at rest. I'm not going to lie, it took me for a tailspin. I couldn't focus on anything but the betrayal and in a way I became even more hypersenitive to everything he did. The lying continued in other areas of our relationship as well ( finances) and even though I found out and tried to help him (mistake 2) I kept on giving him the benefit of the doubt but my senses knew there was still bullshit coming from his side. In retrospect I think I should've ended the relationship after the first lie or at least took a step waaaay back.

What honestly helped me and lead to me finding out I am HSP, was talking to a psychologist. Just being able to make sense of everything and not putting the blame on myself for his behaviour has been a saving grace. I think the fear of it happening again is high in me but I am trying to rationalize that not every situation will turn out the same way. I try to learn from it and be honest with people in my life when I feel as though I am being triggered that they know. If they don't understand, that's on them.

Also TIME. Give yourself TIME. Nobody can put a timeframe on getting over trauma. What I can tell you is that you will. It's taken me about 1 year. I still have setbacks but I am compassionate with myself. Love your inner child. Give it that attention on those days where you feel like you can't forget, like it's all in front of you. Give yourself the permission to feel through those emotions and I promise you, you'll come out a little stronger tomorrow.

(Un)fortunately true for me too. Just recently discovered that I am an HSP and I could never understand why I knew somebody was lying but I always knew. My ex-boyfriend lied about money issues even after I found out and continued to do so. It broke my heart to have the person supposedly closest to you lie to your face when you made it so clear that you'd rather have honesty that deceitful behaviour. I wasn't able to trust him after that and I don't know if I ever will be able to. At the end of the day, he wasn't willing to give me that honesty as a partner (he said himself he was/is a coward and has trust issues) , which I think comes naturally to most HSPs. That lying took me for a tailspin that resulted in mistrust, jealousy and all the other fun stuff. Never used to be like it before but I guess trampling on such a high value as trust/honesty can do that.

Wish I could say, fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I didn't have the boundaries in place to cut the crap with something I value so highly (honesty/trust) and ended up bringing myself a lot more hurt the past couple of months. On the flipside I have to believe that this built-in lie detector is acurate as it hasn't been wrong yet.

He tends to focus on calling out publsiher's bs, which is perfectly fine imo. He does however also do positive videos, mainly Cyberpunk 2077 as of recently.

[–] Hey Drew, how's that look in the mirror going? (GamesRadar pre-launch Interview 04 Feb 2019) Fionnyn 2 points ago in apexlegends

It's not about wanting items cheaper - at least for majority that are up in arms. It's the fact that they have introduced a new system where you are now unable to pay for skins outright. This new event makes it so that you have to buy the loot boxes at 7$ a pop to get the CHANCE (1/24) of getting the item you want. Cause EA is all about them surprise mechanics.

[–] Hey Drew, how's that look in the mirror going? (GamesRadar pre-launch Interview 04 Feb 2019) Fionnyn 2 points ago in apexlegends

Everybody isn't complaining about the prices but about the gambling mechanics that have been implemented with the update. Before you could buy the skins outright if you didn't want to open lootboxes. Not anymore and that's what pisses people off.

You can literally own 2 by playing the game. The other 22 have to be purchased. Look it up man. Thats the whole point of this outrage.

[–] Hey Drew, how's that look in the mirror going? (GamesRadar pre-launch Interview 04 Feb 2019) Fionnyn 2 points ago in apexlegends

True that it's an industry problem but the funny thing is, is that THIS is the revamped system. Before this event, these skins could be purchased trhough the store directly. That's what people are mad about. The gambling aspect of it all, instead of having the ouright option of buying what you want at the usual 18$ price tag.

[–] Hey Drew, how's that look in the mirror going? (GamesRadar pre-launch Interview 04 Feb 2019) Fionnyn 0 points ago in apexlegends

Nope but new event items are locked behind a gambling paywall of 24 loot boxes. One loot box costs 7$. if you want everything or even just one specific skin, you could be out of 154$ if you're out of luck. No more buying skins directly through the shop for this event. Yay! So essentially endorsing gambling.

Like any other EA game in the end...

[–] Hey Drew, how's that look in the mirror going? (GamesRadar pre-launch Interview 04 Feb 2019) Fionnyn 2 points ago in apexlegends

It's not about receiving anything for free but about the fact that we cannot buy the skins outright, even at a higher pricepoint than other skins in the game since they are locked behind an rng loot box system.

So we should just take it laying down? WTF dude. If there's no outrage then there is no chance for change of these bs tactics.

Many ppl on here have said and I include myself, I would've gladly spent 20-40$ on a skin or two if I knew what I was getting.

Not gamechanging but certainly not the way it was before EA decided to really get going.

It's not the skins but locking them behind the wonderful EA surprise mechanics. No way to get a skin you want directly, no you have to play the gambling game. So much fun!

Respawn said it wants to earn the respect of it's playerbase upon release.

    Respawn is in EA's pocket.

"Surprise mechanics" were introduced yesterday for the new event that leaves 92% of the event items behind a paywall that will set you back 154$ if you wish to own every item and also gives you no option of buying items directly in case you don't want to spend potentially 154$.

    Respawn lied.

    Playerbase p*ssed.

    Major bugs still not fixed.

Might as well go the whole way and dish out another 35$ for the bloodhound heirloom. Seems totally legit.
