[–] Cap and Gown Exchange Megathread? Gr0mHellscream1 1 points ago in ASU

sorry, it is in the closet in Minnesota. I moved there after graduation and am now working at SuperValu so that's pretty far away - it would probably cost as much to mail it as it would cost to just buy a new set from the AUS bookstore! er, the ASU bookstore

It really is a different thing, just try again something slightly different! You’ll get popular, I just KNOW it! Keep hoping

Seriously look again, compare them side by side. you’re just jealous, that’s ok tho. If u had a girlfriend you would be happy instead of envious

Yep order selectors / shipping people do that sort of stuff - there are girls and guys sort of like nursing. Getting off work & going home is the best part of the day!

[–] What college textbook costed you the most to purchase? Gr0mHellscream1 1 points ago in college

i remember Physics 2 (PHY 131) being the most difficult, but it was things that are good to know that make sense. Modern Differential Equations (MAT 275) was fun to learn. The textbooks in those classes had to have been over $150 each. At Supervalu none of that is required but it's nice to know that sort of stuff just as general knowledge

entrepreneurship for engineers required a textbook & some written self-help books by businesspeople. I think all told it was $75 or something

organic was $200 & change for me off eBay.. wow, $85 only, huh

Macroeconomic Principles textbook now serves as a suitable laptop rest. For the low, low price of two hundred bucks. What a rip off. AND that was an eBay used purchase, to add insult to injury. The concepts explained in that class seem to have NO real world use

[–] What is the best way to deal with "rival companies" encroaching on my turf? I have a construction business & I need the money to survive & pay my bills! Gr0mHellscream1 2 points ago in Construction

Agreed! I have operated a construction company for several years & I know that folks will not want to hear this but "sweat equity" does matter. Pounding the pavement and putting out flyers & doing sales pitches at business group meetings does work. Generally it is a "high effort, low return" mentality that is going to be the kicker in the long run. That may be difficult to hear because people want to do just a little and get a lot. Not how things work around here, sadly!

You might be the exception to the rule! They mandate a good general education to earn a degree & learn how to behave in public. “Probability & Stochastic Processes” by Roy Yates gets very little use these days but it does make a guy seem smart
