I don't think 'commies' cry over dead Nazis.

[–] What is something your partner has done during sex that completely ruined it for you? JukinTheStats 1 points ago in AskReddit

Melon is the common 'third' flavor of milk in the Philippines. It's okay. Tastes like cantaloupe. Regular, chocolate, and melon everywhere. It can be hard to find fresh milk anywhere, but when you do find it, those are your usual choices.

Nice username. Rakin' it in today :)

I had just downloaded masstagger when this was posted last time. It's pretty stark. Unless it's just coincidence that the guys sticking up for the Nazis are active on right-wing subs. If so, it's one of the biggest coincidences I've ever come across.

Uncanny correlation. That's all. Masstagger makes things fun. One of the more consistent patterns in life, or at least on Reddit.

Edit: sort by 'controversial' if you want to join in the fun.

Nazis. And people whose moral relativism seems to apply only to Nazis in particular - poor, misunderstood babies!

[–] Absolute legend JukinTheStats 11 points ago in memes

Dutch resistance, obviously. Disrupting the enemy, stealing their weapons and documents, demoralizing the guys raping your country and committing mass murder, etc.

Triggered t_d posters incoming. Every time. This lady, trolling them from beyond the grave. Love it.

None of it is difficult. All just habit. I dated a vegetarian for eight years (Hindu) and managed it just fine. Ate fish sometimes with my own family, but veggie with her. You don't miss it too much. And that's after growing up with an unusually meat-rich diet.

[–] Put the blame where it belongs JukinTheStats 1 points ago in WhitePeopleTwitter

And German-Americans probably more than either group individually. But even overall, meat consumption depends a lot of income and local prices, and I'd bet there's not as much of a difference between US/Germany when controlling for income levels and urbanization. Both big carnivores.

The big, notable difference is, Americans eat ridiculous amounts of chicken - more than twice as much in kg per person as the EU. Americans with German eating habits are still going to eat chicken as a staple, but add on top of that all the rich sausages and other meats that Germans are into. Germans eat much more non-poultry meats than Americans. I'm less familiar with Russian habits, but having German family and having lived in a heavily German area, it's pretty crazy how much meat they eat. I'd like to see how dairy habits stack up too.

I can't follow you into fantasy land, with "terrorists". The only terrorism we've been seeing is home-grown or legal residents, and we've only caught a few token no-fly-list 'terrorists' at the border. Edit: DHS on this. Migrants are the issue.

We would have real economic problems without migrants. No, Americans would not fill those jobs, and can't be 'forced to'. There aren't enough of us, and we're already nearly at full employment. And most of us wouldn't dream of doing that kind of manual labor all day for pitiful pay. We're depending on migrants. "Let them fail" is not sound economic strategy, especially when the immigrants who work those jobs are perfectly decent people, regardless Trump's effort to paint them as rapists. They commit less crime than we do, which is exactly what you would do too, if you were a guest in someone else's country.

For now, we're stuck with our legal system that makes the green card process insane. Fix that, before we spend $30 billion on a downpayment for concrete and steel barriers that we don't need (DHS's estimate). And even if it weren't years of waiting, even if it were a month, we'd still be better off not bothering with workers who are only here a month or two per year to harvest. Meanwhile, 2/3 of all illegal immigrants are visa overstays, rather than border-crossers. Illegals are also caught at legal border crossings all the time, but I don't know the proportion versus those swimming the Rio Grande. Common sense would say it's a small proportion who want to trek through the desert, risking life and limb.

I linked to my sources about the drug trade above. I'll edit this to consolidate them. The good news is, the drug trade is in decline. Marijuana is still the majority (why not legalize it, again, Donald?), with the few percentage points of coke, heroin, and meth increasing now by percentage due to marijuana being less profitable and in less demand.

Edit: Good article on the drug trade. And my source for percentages for earlier fiscal years.

I've had this debate before, and it typically ends in dishonesty. Either it's all "fake news", or rarely, someone will just straight-up admit that they don't like Mexicans, or that they would spend any amount of money to keep people out who, if they eventually gain citizenship, are marginally more likely to vote Democrat than Republican. Then you have the brain-dead 'white genocide' types, who possess no statistical literacy whatsoever. So, I wasn't addressing you in particular. You never know who might be reading. That's how these things tend to go, deep into conspiracy-land, 'cultural Marxism!' and George Soros. They don't want migrants here, either legally or illegally, because it's about race.

Edit: off for tonight. Thanks for being polite.

Minorities aren't real people, so it doesn't count.

Incidentally, I've actually seen Trumpists get offended when I mention that we've had a net loss of Mexican immigrants every year since 2007, with over a million leaving. They're terrified of losing their scapegoat.

Good opportunity for a little surprise inspection, while they're in the shower. Just like his Miss Teen USA days.

[–] Trump Declares National Emergency to Build Border Wall JukinTheStats 5 points ago in news

There's a difference between 'ignoring problems' and letting Trump propagandize without limits. He has no credibility, and is actively spreading misinformation. The media is not required to air every one of his rallies.

[–] Dan Rather remembers. JukinTheStats 1 points ago * (lasted edited 2 days ago) in MurderedByWords

The president has zero credibility, and wants to spend a fortune for something that won't work. That's what it boils down to. (Edit: notice that Trump contradicted DEA, DHS, CBP, etc., in his speech today. There's no believing him.) You're trying to apply logic, when illogic is needed. It's a belief Trump wants you to take on faith, not reason. Scary brown people want to rape your kids. Build a 1,900 mile wall. Ladders and tunnels don't work if the wall is high, right? Doesn't matter that the immigrant crime rate is well beneath our native one. Doesn't matter that they're crossing at established checkpoints, not the middle of the desert. Doesn't matter if it costs $30 billion just as a downpayment.

It's scaremongering, and Trump does it because it works. "The country is over!" No chance he actually cares. We have a net loss of immigrants over US/Mex border every year, and he knows it. However many come, more are leaving. The drug trade is on the decline, and more drugs are coming through the ports than over the border. And most drugs over the border are marijuana shipments, which we could suffocate easily with legalization. Second-term Trump would not be doing this, just like 2016-2018 Trump didn't do this. It's pandering to his remaining 38% base, scaremongering, and posturing for re-election. It's a nice fat dog whistle that says "I'm still hurting the right people". Hispanics vote majority Democratic. That's all you need to know. Party over country; Trump over party.

We'll never have zero border crossings, because our economy demands huge amounts of migrant labor. We need it. Why don't they apply to come legally? Because hardly any of them want to come here permanently, and it would take many years to gain citizenship even if they did. Not to mention the bureaucratic nightmare of trying to approve millions of seasonal workers coming and going. In some cases, they're here and gone in a matter of weeks. If you're a foreigner and marry a US citizen, it's still 12-36 months minimum to get a US green card. It's not feasible to have millions of applications clogging the system, all for a few weeks of migrant work.

On a fundamental level we're a country of immigrants. Hardly any of us are descendents of the Mayflower passengers (though they were immigrants too). Coming to the US to do work that you're hugely incentivised to do (by American corporations), or coming to apply legally for asylum isn't immoral. We depend on these people. Our whole economy, and our economic system in general, is based on the need for constant growth. You don't invest unless you expect growth. Our ability to fund care for our elderly and disabled (etc.) citizens is based on tax income that wouldn't be there without immigration, both in corporate gains, sales tax, and in social security taxes that 'illegals' pay, but cannot receive in old age. No ethnicity within the US has a birthrate exceeding the replacement level (>2.2 total fertility rate). Not in 2019. It's either immigrants, large corporate or personal tax increases, or funding cuts for vulnerable people and economic stagnation. I've already lived in a developing country, where the elderly and disabled are left to starve. I didn't like it then, and don't want to see it here.

Trump idolizes Rodrigo Duterte, who, incidentally, may be making a play at becoming a dictator himself, or at least abolishing term limits. Methamphetamine is the Philippines' #1 drug, and it comes from laboratories in China, with the Chinese government's tacit approval in production/shipment. It's an open conspiracy, and politicians in the Philippines have cashing in since forever. I used to work in shipping over there, and it's the definition of an "open secret". Considering Trump tried to shake down his tenants in Trump tower for their petty cash, I wouldn't put it past him to shake down the Chinese to fill his pockets.

Thankfully, smashing women's reproductive rights is a psychopathic strategy, not necessarily a conservative one (even if there's some overlap).

(The irony of conservatives crying "Get government out of my Medicare!" while also wanting to grant the government authority over your medical decisions..)

[–] Trump Declares National Emergency to Build Border Wall JukinTheStats 3 points ago in news

Not even then. Although Trump might shake them down for bribes. I can believe that.
