[–] The Defenders Discussion Thread - S01E03 LRedditor15 1 points ago in Defenders

Danny said that it has been a year since the Hand/Rand transactions. Seeing as we've all agreed that Iron Fist took place in 2016, does that mean that The Defenders takes place in 2017?

That scene was so hard to watch. Those wails coming from that poor woman.

"I've lost all of my babies." Damn. :'(

That conversation between Matt and the disabled boy was wonderful.

Honestly, I don't think we've gotten a bad intro yet.

[–] Which member of the Defenders Cast (Pictured or Not) would you most want to hang out with you real life? This can be their characters themselves or just the actors who portray them. LRedditor15 8 points ago in marvelstudios

They all seem like nice people. I'd probably go with either Finn or Charlie because they're both British and I guess therefore more relateable?

For the characters themselves, definitely not Danny (who would be annoying) or Jessica (who would probably be a bitch). I'd probably go for Matthew seeing as he has a pretty good sense of humour and I find the whole blind thing interesting.

[–] THE DEFENDERS has officially been Certified Fresh by Rotten Tomatoes LRedditor15 3 points ago in marvelstudios

Yeah, the RT rating is irrelevant if the average rating is bad.

And also, I agree with the 8.2 that Luke Cage was given because the reviewers were only given the first half of the season (which was actually good). If they were given the second half as well, then the rating would be much lower.

I wasn't a massive fan of Doctor Strange but putting it on the same levels of Suicide Squad....come on, man.

[–] We should really start doing daily discussions here on this sub LRedditor15 15 points ago in marvelstudios

I still think that this subreddit should go through a complete live rewatch of everything in the MCU at one point (including TV shows). That would be a great thing to do inbetween gaps between releases.

[–] What movies would you like to see in Phase 4? LRedditor15 0 points ago in marvelstudios

I know that. That's why I put an Avengers film in the list.

[–] [Serious] What Movie Tropes do you think Hollywood need to stop using in their films? LRedditor15 1 points ago in movies

And where the fuck were the Justice League? In fact, this applies to the Marvel Phase 2 films as well. Where the hell was Iron Man during the events of the Winter Soldier!?!?!

[–] [Serious] What Movie Tropes do you think Hollywood need to stop using in their films? LRedditor15 3 points ago in movies

only to pop up barely worse for the wear next episode

Those two episodes were really bad compared to the rest of the show. The whole chase part with Arya and the Waif was filler. She pretty much ended up in the exact same position as she was in the last episode.

Wasn't it obvious that those guys were going to die anyway? Isn't that a trope: where the protagonist's mentor dies? Yeah, Hollywood movies should stop doing that as well. So predictable.
