[–] Is the express pass worth the extra cost? LampshadeTricky 5 points ago in UniversalOrlando

If it's your first time, I strongly suggest going through the main entrance of everything at least once and look around while you wait. They are really good with details and story for the ride (especially in the Wizarding World area). Express is good for when you've gone through the story and just want to enjoy the ride but you miss out a lot. If there only a few of you, single rider on some of them should also be good. My wife and I do that a lot since we've been there a bunch.

I didn’t see the others and forgot to edit the title. I’ll remove it...geez.

I think it pairs better with The Waste Lands, IMHO.

If you're using VBA to unprotect/reprotect, remember to password the code since it is stored there in plain text.

[–] Bought Wayfinders Guide to Eberron - Is there another way to access it? LampshadeTricky 1 points ago in dndnext

/u/Spartancfos can buy the book here and get updates to the content when they are available. You can print it or keep it on your phone/tablet to read during breaks

My guess is that since Amazon leaked the Ravnica book and there was lots of confusion, they launched on DMSGuild while they were still working on it so that the older fan base (who really wanted the older stuff) wouldn't abandon ship. DMSGuild lets them update and provide updates to purchasers for free.

Mearls has said that it isn't done and that HC books will complement this content.

I'm waiting to buy only because I'm still going through the HC books that already exist but I really can't wait to get to both of these settings.

[–] Cabana Bay Discount for Annual Passes LampshadeTricky 1 points ago in UniversalOrlando

I can see that the stay more save more option could cost less than the discount would give me but I was told that they might not have them. I'm annoyed that up to 25%** includes zero. They could at least tell me I have the best possible discount which would be true and make me feel like they honored the terms of their passes.

[–] Cabana Bay Discount for Annual Passes LampshadeTricky 1 points ago in universalstudios

I understand the ** means some conditions apply but they aren't shown anywhere. Usually when there is a note like that, it is explained somewhere but these aren't.

If they are selling annual passes and incentivising it by giving a discount on hotels, they should follow through with at least something. I get that it won't always (or even frequently) be 25% but it should be at least more than zero.

Having an annual pass means that I want to go there more. If I'm there, I'm likely to spend money at the parks. If it costs more for the hotel, I'm there less and/or have less to spend in the parks.

Their pricing strategy is to have lower pricing when they have less customers and more when they have lots of them (another good example of this is movie ticket prices). Having an annual pass should give someone even a 5% discount which would be very little to them but show some sort of follow through on the terms for people who want to be there often.

We saw that while we were looking and confirmed with them before making the purchase since our first trip wouldn't be until October. Thanks for looking out though. :)

[–] Cabana Bay Discount for Annual Passes LampshadeTricky 1 points ago in universalstudios

Thanks. That makes sense but the annual pass description should say that there could be zero discounts. Part of the reason for buying the tickets was for hotel savings. It says up to 25% but not that it could be zero...there should be at least something.

This almost always works for us. We go out on Saturday morning for Saturday night tickets.

From Excel, I was able to save as an HTM file and then open it with Excel as if it was a workbook.

Web Page should be an option in the drop down under the save as and open dialog boxes.

I’ve been using my fridge water filter now to see how it tastes since it’s my first batch. As I progress, I plan to get home testing kits to see how the water is overall.

I agree that the saturation is different in each case but, if I add a half gal of water to your 1 gal (@ 44 points), wouldn't the resulting solution have 30 points since the OG is based on wort before the yeast goes in? It was still 1.5 gal with one lb of DME before yeast.

My kettle doesn't have any measurements on it so I was using a measuring cup when I filled it. When I upgrade to a larger kettle, I want to make sure it has levels in it.

For now, I'm going to just have to boil plain water in it and measure it out when I'm done for my rate.

[–] Wort boiling off too much LampshadeTricky 1 points ago in Homebrewing

With the 1 gal carboy, I started with 1.25 gal in the pot. I'll take a look at the software to help. I'll probably have a new brew going next week and will try some measurements before then.

[–] Wort boiling off too much LampshadeTricky 1 points ago in Homebrewing

I plan to add to the pre-boil but I'm trying to see what the differences are now. If the water is sanitary, I can't really see any difference other than the reintroduction of possible bacteria and additional elements.

[–] Wort boiling off too much LampshadeTricky 1 points ago in Homebrewing

If I'm adding water after the boil to get to the original volume, wouldn't the higher concentration of hops be brought back up to recipe levels when I add to get to one gallon?

No matter how much water I start with, ending up with one gallon and the same amount of each ingredient should always yield the same results, right?

[–] How to Vlookup when there are duplicates LampshadeTricky 2 points ago in excel

/u/Witty_man has a good point. I'd just use averageif if you're going to average them anyway.

[–] Wort boiling off too much LampshadeTricky 2 points ago in Homebrewing

When I get down the line, I plan to calculate a bunch of stuff for my set up specifically (boil rate, efficiency, etc). I'm going through some 1 gallon kits before I invest in the 5 gallon setup and then making/finding/tweaking recipes.

[–] Wort boiling off too much LampshadeTricky 2 points ago in Homebrewing

If the water is sanitary, can I just add it to the carboy to get to the one gallon mark? Or is it better to add the right amount before the boil?
