[–] Ars Technica:Newer Tesla batteries contain Cuban cobalt, likely illegal under US sanctions MDCCCLV 1 points ago in teslamotors

It's the problem with things that get political or get too much passion around them. I like the SpaceX subreddit because there's not the same amount of dispute over space as there is with electric cars and Tesla in particular.

Yeah, it's just that 99% of the people I see with garages don't end up using them because they gradually fill up with crap. Then they end up doing repair work in their driveway in front of the garage.

That's kindof what I mean. You're accusing MY article of being fallacious. It's not my article nor is it my opinion. I saw something on Tesla that was interesting and so I posted in a forum that is presumably interested in Tesla related news. I forgot that there's so many defensive reactionaries here that just blindly attack anything that smells anti-Tesla.

If only there was some sort of convenient textile based way to travel forward in time one day to find out what happened on July 21.

SpaceX could realistically gobble up 100% of the launch market without protectionist national policies.

You can just use a spare room. Most people end up with their garage to full to use even occasionally so it's expensive and wasted.

A little off, but I recommend The Emperor and the Wolf: The Lives and Films of Akira Kurosawa and Toshiro Mifune, it's a really in depth book about the two of them and their tense working relationship. It's very well written and puts in a lot of context.

I wouldn't recommend it, it's probably oxidized and gone rancid.

Yeah but electric engines can use a huge amount of electricity and there's a lot of power draws. I think a small to medium nuclear energy would help for that peak draw and for the thermal energy to keep the whole ship warm.

[–] It's there a way to automatically truncate posts that are extremely long? MDCCCLV 1 points ago in redditsync

For some posts it does, I think it depends on the formatting. The one I saw was a list rather than paragraphs.

[–] Dems erupt into 'USA' chant on House floor after Hoyer gives fiery anti-Putin speech MDCCCLV 0 points ago in politics

Yeah but traditionally the right had been the voice saying fuck you Russia and being pro war

And how would it be easier to dig a massive tunnel instead of just installing something on the ground?

[–] Moon and Mars MDCCCLV 1 points ago in spacex

A tunnel would require much more work, and the whole point is that it wouldn't be pressurized. You would just need to flatten the ground and then lay out tracks.

    Heirloom fruit.

It depends on the company, it could even have been an Amazon flex driver and that was the only stop they had.

Or implant an RFID chip inside your finger and then just load them up whenever you get a new key.

Yeah if you're going to build a huge comfy ship then nuclear electric becomes practical to consider. If you make it big enough you could have .1g with 0g areas and you can avoid some of the health concerns and you could use plants for oxygen production.
