No organization lasts forever. They'll be around until they're outcompeted and made obsolete.

If they go out of business it doesn't matter how much money they have now. We're talking in 30-40 years when eventually steam will no longer exist. They're not gonna have a spare billion dollars laying around they don't want.

    That's not how anything works.

This is if they go out of business. Which obviously would only happen under unusual circumstances or when they've been outcompeted for years.

You know a sysadmin and a programmer alone would be like at least 250k a year, every year.

Honestly no one is going to do anything with it. I'd rather you cut it into an actual bookshelf and put epoxy on it.

Demonstrating that you're safety minded won't hurt at least

The wireless ear buds are the worst because of their size. But all of them are difficult to repair because they prioritize slimness and light weight, leading to glue rather than metal clips or screws. But the difficult to repair part really comes in when you take about doing something more than just replacing the battery.

Yeah Las Vegas will spring up after AC but this kind of graph doesn't show small cities in an empty state very well. A spiky graph with total pop levels would work better

Does anyone know what that picture was that was posted yesterday? I thought it was on this subreddit but I don't see it now. It was a solitary red tree with yellow field under it with a Stark sky.

How was that not investigated,? Wasn't that the whole point? At the very least you had Manafort clearly adding the Ukraine weapons thing to the platform.

The new one from Flint? I haven't seen it yet. I've never seen anything else that has the entire thing opening up all the way to the top.

Not really, most grades of stainless steel like the 300 series are non magnetic. So there's going to be more steel but not magnetic material.

Of course one of my hopes is that the increased lift capability of BFR will encourage satellites makers and builders to use steel selectively for increased durability. Hopefully things will become a little sturdier and satellites will have refueling capacity.

I was going to respond to your comment but there's obviously no point because you were too lazy to read the article which specifically mentioned this or my comment which said that specifically.

How big can it get though? It needs the outer structure to be reusable so it can't just have a fairing. Would it be possible to have a full seam and have the entire starship payload area open up with half doors? If not you would be volume limited for your largest possible size.

That's actually the goal though. You want to fall into space and not hit the ground first.
