[–] Graham: ‘I’m Not Going To Ruin Judge Kavanaugh’s Life Over This’ Mackinz 1 points ago in politics

You know, this would be interesting if I actually gave half a fuck about CNN, but I don't. Only Republican trolls like yourself are obsessed with them, just like you cannot get Hillary or Obama out of your minds.

[–] Graham: ‘I’m Not Going To Ruin Judge Kavanaugh’s Life Over This’ Mackinz 1 points ago in politics

    and believe everything CNN says.

And I love it when conservatives think A) CNN is liberal and B) that all liberals watch CNN.

Seriously. You're projecting your own inability to read more than one source of information on those you disagree with politically, when I can count at least 20 news sources I've read since just yesterday.

Just go back to under your bridge.

[–] Graham: ‘I’m Not Going To Ruin Judge Kavanaugh’s Life Over This’ Mackinz 1 points ago in politics

That's a liberals typical response when presented with the truth.

All it takes is for you to Google the truth and you refuse to.

"Do your own research"? That's hilarious coming from the guy whose party is against the teaching of critical thinking.

Speaking of google, I'm pretty sure my ability to find things via google drastically outsteps your own. That's why I don't believe in the Republican talking points you spew from Fox News/etc.

    Go on. Shoo.

[–] Graham: ‘I’m Not Going To Ruin Judge Kavanaugh’s Life Over This’ Mackinz 1 points ago in politics

Sorry, I can't hear you over the sounds of your lying and hypocrisy. Please try again later.

[–] Graham: ‘I’m Not Going To Ruin Judge Kavanaugh’s Life Over This’ Mackinz 1 points ago in politics

Kavanaugh is the single most qualified person for the job and people on both sides agree.

[Citation Needed]. Certainly he is one of the qualified people for the job, but lol if you think he is the only one capable. There are literally hundreds of capable, accomplished judges out there, including one Merrick Garland. Kavanaugh was only chosen by Trump because he was the most drastically far-right politically of those on Justice Kennedy's short list.

Those who do not agree are those you've seen in the media attempting to run in 2020. Which is literally 5 people from the Dems side.

Oh no the big bad dems. How dare they disagree with appointing a judge who wants to allow Presidents to be dictators and also wants to overturn Roe v. Wade and undo decades of womens rights progress.

    Here's a hint.

The Dems will win in 2020 even if, especially if, Kavanaugh is successfully appointed to the Supreme Court.

You're referring to something else when I said 'thats not my point".

I'm sorry that you consider me an idiot, but, unlike you, I understand context.

    Context:

You: How also convenient that she's been anti-trump since 2 years ago?

Reply: Fuck, man, anyone with a brain has been anti-Trump since 2 years ago. Should have been well before that.

    You: That's not my point..

Do try to keep up with your own comment chain, please and thank you.

The FBI doesn't investigate baseless allegations from 40+ years ago without cause.

Cause: Rape allegation against incoming Supreme Court nominee. See: Anita Hill investigation.

"hurr durr its not the same" So? It's still a potential rapist being appointed to the highest court in the country, and allowing him to rule on laws he himself may have broken.

There's no cause when the accuser can't recall a single piece of information.

Can't recall or doesn't want to publicly recall so Kavanaugh can't plan a lie ahead of time? Because he certainly had been doing a lot before the rape allegation became public, as if to get ahead of it. And given that at least one of his buddies was investigating Ford before she went public...

Oh, I'm sorry. The thought that Kavanaugh might actually remember exactly what he did never crossed your mind, did it?

If you look at the situation objectively and not emotionally, you'd see this whole allegation is politically motivated.

So is the nomination of Kavanaugh, and the whole ridiculous idea that it only takes 51 votes to confirm a Supreme Court justice after Republicans completely blocked the appointment of Merrick Garland by Obama.

Turnabout is fair play. If you wanted Dems to stay above getting dirty politically, Republicans shouldn't have decided to act like petulant manchildren that refuse to share political power with black people.

No one cares about this woman, otherwise they'd have brought it up months ago.

No, no Republican (including yourself) cares about this woman. People who do care about Ford know that coming to terms with the psychological effects of rape are things that take time - and even then, we know Ford told her friends about the assault in late 2017 and has had several years of therapy over it, so fuck off.

Only a Republican, from the party of avowed liars, can look at a woman who willingly destroyed her own life to make sure a rapist does not sit on the bench and decide she is a liar.

And don't pretend you aren't Republican.

[–] Graham: ‘I’m Not Going To Ruin Judge Kavanaugh’s Life Over This’ Mackinz 1 points ago in politics

    That's not my point..

If it wasn't one of your points, why bring it up? Unless you actually believe that being "anti-Trump" since he announced his candidacy is at all important to the credibility of the rape allegation?

You wouldn't like that if people said you were guilty without any proof, so why do we accept it now?

We aren't proclaiming him guilty without evidence. We want an investigation into the matter, and not for senate Republicans to obviously sweep it under the rug and pretend it never happened. We want to see the evidence for and against the claims.

We also want Republican assholes to stop circling the wagons around an obviously rushed Supreme Court nomination that only Republicans want so they can thrust their political agenda upon the United States citizenship through what is supposed to be a politically neutral body of law enforcement.

Why don't you want that? Hurr durr "no proof".

[–] Clinton Calls For FBI to Investigate Kavanaugh Allegations: 'It's A Fair Request' Mackinz 25 points ago in politics

You do realize that even after she is long dead, they will bring up the specter of Hillary Clinton and say that she is controlling the "social communist dems" from beyond the grave.

There is no logic to their stances about her.

[–] the Republic will survive Mackinz 5 points ago in PoliticalHumor

Hearings are happening because Democrats don't have the majority to block Republicans from doing the exact opposite to what they did to Obama.

[–] Hang em high Mackinz 10 points ago in PoliticalHumor

Dear Thundamuffinz. Opioids are legal. That is why opiod epidemics are common in Republican territory.

The word you are looking for is cannabis. Cannabis is far less toxic than already legal tobacco, and would provably drastically reduce the opioid issue if Republicans like yourself would stop falling for Reagan-era anti-Mexican propaganda (hurr durr marijuana) designed to stoke irrational fear in your brain.

Have a good day. Seek psychiatric help.

[–] GOP Double Standard Mackinz 1 points ago in PoliticalHumor

You're forgetting that the anti-Clinton propaganda extends back to when she was just the First Lady. It's followed her political career ever since then, because the GOP know she is, or at least was, a political threat if she ever got into meaningful power.

[–] GOP Double Standard Mackinz 1 points ago in PoliticalHumor

They would strip him of his current judgeship, after conducting the investigations that Republicans refuse to do, if Republicans did not have the power of the majority to completely ignore anything Democrats want to do.

[–] GOP Double Standard Mackinz 2 points ago in PoliticalHumor

It really wasn't that simple. There was just far too much anti-Clinton propaganda, and that propaganda supressed the will of liberal voters.

[–] 'Millions of Us Have Your Back': #DearProfessorFord Goes Viral as Women Nationwide Take Stand for Kavanaugh Accuser Mackinz 2 points ago in politics

As an atheist, I have a moral compass. It is not some god-given mandate. It is a set of guidelines I try to impose on myself.

And when others claim to have moral compasses, I take them at their word. When they violate those moral compasses, then I will rightly point out their hypocrisy.

Your implied assertion that atheists don't have moral compasses is ridiculous in and of itself.

and her therapist won’t even comment or talk about the matter.

And no person with a modicum of law knowledge would expect the therapist to do so publicly. It's called confidentiality.

But I wouldn't expect a t_d shitposter to know the law, given their intrinsic support for a corrupt grifter and sex offender.

[–] Weekly Questions Thread #175 Mackinz 1 points ago * (lasted edited 7 days ago) in DnD

I have a question that is more opinion based than anything.

I am playing 5th edition, and my current character is an 8/1 Kenku Archfey Warlock/Bard with a lot of unresolved issues that recently bubbled to the surface. One of these issues managed to resolve itself in a day, involving a gods curse over an oathbreaker paladins broken holy symbol, and the solution was my character praying feverishly to Torm when all seemed lost (and I got a high percentile roll).

The thing is, when I multiclassed into Bard, I never chose an instrument proficiency (and my DM was okay with this in the short term). I was already planning on going Valor Bard for the weapon and armor proficiencies, especially now with the blessing of Torm.

My only issue then is finding an instrument that would befit the Lawful Good god of duty, loyalty, and obedience, while fitting the character. I'd much appreciate any suggestions you all might have. Please be specific in the type of instrument as well, because my character will likely have to make it herself. She is currently stuck in the middle of Chult, as part of the Tomb of Annihilation.

For reference, here is the 5th Edition List of Instruments from the PHB:

    Musical instruments

    Instrument Cost Weight
    Bagpipes 30 gp 6 lb.
    Drum 6 gp 3 lb.
    Dulcimer 25 gp 10 lb.
    Flute 2 gp 1 lb.
    Lute 35 gp 2 lb.
    Lyre 30 gp 2 lb.
    Horn 3 gp 2 lb.
Pan flute 12 gp 2 lb.
    Shawm 2 gp 1 lb.
    Viol 30 gp 1 lb.

[–] Puerto Rico governor: 'We need to solve the century-old problem of colonialism' Mackinz 1 points ago in politics

Correct. I misremembered what the Jones act did.

If they were a state, they could work with Hawai'i to amend the bill and make it less restrictive.

[–] Puerto Rico governor: 'We need to solve the century-old problem of colonialism' Mackinz 3 points ago in politics

The real question is why the USA would want more poor states.

Once they are full states, they would not be subject to some of the laws currently restricting them, economically. The Jones Act, for example.

Plus, there is no telling how statehood would affect their local industries.

[–] Justice Department Attempts to Suppress Evidence That the Border Patrol Targeted Humanitarian Volunteers Mackinz 6 points ago in politics

Yes. They sign up for border patrol and ICE because they are racist as fuck. There's a reason why Trump hired so many more low-grade border patrol agents.
