[–] Develop your app for $200 πŸ’΅ MakeYourMarks 3 points ago in Entrepreneur

I want to jump in on this thread right now. This guy is probably legit, but I'd be super careful. In India, we use the term "fresher" a lot to describe a person who has just graduated university and has little or no experience working. The starting salary for a fresher programmer is about 10k/month (rupees) which is about $140 (exchange rates are awful right now). This is for a mediocre programmer, usually with poor design skills. A good programmer with a couple years experience is going to cost you 25k-40k/month.

If I had to guess, this is a group of freshers hitting a bong and splitting the profits on pretty hacked together apps. Also /r/entrepreneur unspoken rules state that the number of employees people have is equal to # they say they have, minus half. This guy is working with one other friend out of a flat in North-central Bangalore.

    /u/backpackdev am I wrong?

tl;dr your app will work, but only just. Look at their site to see what kind of quality you're going to get: http://bachmanitygames.tk/

[–] Ancient Chinese Bronze Dragon Vessel / Ho(Huo) MakeYourMarks 3 points ago in whatsthisworth

What /u/Clevererer is saying is true. I'm not an expert in Chinese bronze, but a quick search on eBay of various bronze statues from different eras are completely true. This doesn't look super ornate or in great detail, but it does look pretty sizeable. Half a foot wide is impressive. Something of this caliber and size from the Ming dynasty is worth between $500 - 2,000. Here is something somewhat comparable that sold on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Large-Chinese-Ming-Dynasty-Lokapala-Guardian-Bronze-Buddha/283124994364?hash=item41eb90913c:g:tdsAAOSw7FJbgviB

That’s weird cause all I’ve heard about is the beautiful diving, super cheap cost of living, and delicious food. The sex tourism always seemed like such a minor part to me

[–] Republicans in swing districts are scared to tell voters the truth about Planned Parenthood; they want to defund the non-profit. Out of 100+ competitive races only 13 candidates have told voters of their desire to defund the non-profit. MakeYourMarks 10 points ago in TwoXChromosomes

Alright I mean I don't think that most of the people I met were used to unambiguous genocide by any means nor had they experienced that. I just said heavy Muslim population. You make it seem like they went through the holocaust. These are mostly affluent early 20s guys working at good jobs fresh out of college.

This. Old antibiotics will just make things worse a lot of the time. UTIs are naturally occurring. Doctor up is the only way to tell.

Re: The Muslim ban. I've traveled to quite a few countries in Asia with a heavily Muslim population and you wouldn't believe how many of the men I've met like Trump. "He has some good economics points." You'd think that a group he openly hates on would be against him, but it doesn't mean shit to some people.

Finally. It's similar to when some Republicans began to skirt around the "issue" of gay marriage. Suddenly, hard-line Republicans when questioned on gay marriage would respond, "well, I attended my 2nd cousin's homosex-- uh...gay...wedding and...yeah." and that would be dignified with a weird mixture of half-hearted clapping and awkward silence from the crowd.

But that's when it started! We might finally, maybe, possibly be starting to enter a time where the Republican party is divided (even if it means being tight-lipped) on an issue that they used to be unified on. Fingers crossed.
