[–] Queen Made Donald Trump Take Down A Campaign Video Using "We Will Rock You" ModForEverySubReddit 1 points ago in politics

For a moment when I read that I thought the Queen of England scolded Donald Trump. I am disappointed.

[–] Texas Sheriff Blasts Immigrant ‘Drunks’—Then Son Is Busted for Public Intoxication ModForEverySubReddit 1 points ago in politics

Reminds me of an interaction I had on reddit a few weeks ago.

I was in another subreddit talking about the changing demographics of the USA. I wrote that once you get to know people as humans, you seem them as people and not their ethnicity. I would feel weird at first, but as I got to know new people in my neighborhood I would be fine. This dude replied back implying that I was full of it and that he could not do that as immigrants didn't have "our values". I looked in his posting history to find a thread asking people in Portland how to find the best places for lap dances. LOL! I'm sure that some of the people coming from South America enjoy lap dances too!

[–] President Trump Addresses Values Voter Summit ModForEverySubReddit 8 points ago in politics

Must have been short, Trump and the Republicans don't have values.

[–] Warren says she'd welcome a Dwayne Johnson presidential bid: 'Who doesn't like The Rock?' ModForEverySubReddit 4 points ago in politics

“It’s an interesting story that’s different from much of what’s on television,” Warren said, adding: “It tells you something about what it means to live a life dependent on a small set of physical skills.”

[–] Elizabeth Warren has 2020 momentum. But these Bernie Sanders supporters say they'll never vote for her—even against Trump ModForEverySubReddit 2 points ago in politics

I was really dumbfounded by it at the time until I figured out it was about the emotional appeal and both men promising to do something about jobs, even if Trump lied.

Not everyone who supports a candidate is the same.

Many Sanders supporters are intelligent and progressive people.

Then there is a subgroup of Sanders supporters that are emotionally driven fools who just like Sanders because he is loud and yells.

These were the "Bernie Bros" of 2016 who voted for Trump when Sanders didn't get the nomination, despite it being impossible for the stances the two men took on the issues to be more different.

However, facts don't matter to that subgroup. They want someone loud, who yells, to get their rage jizz.

[–] Neoliberalism Paved the Way for Authoritarian Right-Wing Populism ModForEverySubReddit 2 points ago in politics

Fair enough. Trump energized liberals. They will probably take over the country in the next few elections. Likely a good thing, as we have seen the right wing population just aren't smart enough, or emotionally mature enough to govern themselves.

[–] What a Trump rally in downtown Minneapolis looks like ModForEverySubReddit 2 points ago in politics

get Democrats to stay home instead of voting

    How?

    Threats of violence?

[–] What a Trump rally in downtown Minneapolis looks like ModForEverySubReddit 8 points ago in politics

The arena was not packed, there was tons of empty space.

That is the kind of coverage his rallies should get. An acknowledgment they happened, fact checks on the lies, and a few camera shots showing (lack of) crowd size.

[–] What a Trump rally in downtown Minneapolis looks like ModForEverySubReddit 3 points ago in politics

They probably told Trump they were people who couldn't get tickets to the rally and he probably believed them.

[–] Melania Trump Said She’s ‘Dedicated To Helping Children,’ And It Didn’t Go So Well ModForEverySubReddit 3 points ago in politics

Rich people in the 19th century sometimes paid poor families for organs from their children ( when there was a pair ). Wonderful world we live in.

[–] Why more places are abandoning Columbus Day in favor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day ModForEverySubReddit 18 points ago in politics

I'm proud that my town did.

If you don't know what a horrible person Columbus was go to your local library and check out a copy of "A People's History Of The United States".

She probably drinks the blood of immigrant babies that her husband took away from their parents and imprisoned.

    Gives her that smooth complexion.
