[–] When you get terminated from Google Play Developer due to associated accounts MrXian 1 points ago in androiddev

    From Wikipedia:

Data subjects have the right to request a portable copy of the data collected by a processor in a common format, and the right to have their data erased under certain circumstances. Public authorities, and businesses whose core activities centre around regular or systematic processing of personal data, are required to employ a data protection officer (DPO), who is responsible for managing compliance with the GDPR.

[–] What happened when the first three chaos gods were born. MrXian 2 points ago in 40kLore

I see virtually all lore, especially when it starts conflicting, as legends and myths that people in the 40k universe tell each other.

Kinda like Greek mythology is being told and corrupted right now, with Hollywood ideas seeping into what everybody knows about Hercules, Achilles, and the rest of the gang.

I think the privacy laws in the EU require companies to over all data they have on you when you request it, for a reasonable fee (copying costs, essentially).

So they cannot not respond to information requested.

[–] Men Who Can Do More Than 40 Push-Ups Far Less Likely To Develop Heart Disease MrXian 0 points ago in science

I'm not sure I could go to 84kg and still be healthy. I'd be to light. Especially if I were to go to a bmi of 19, it would get ridiculously low.

I don't think it's very fair to compare one mile to forty pushups.

    Make it ten miles.

Should Samsung not still fix that then?

[–] TIL that in 1949 the Costa Rican government abolished their army, stating that the army "would be replaced with an army of teachers." The country has free universal public education and a literacy rate of 97%. MrXian 3 points ago in todayilearned

True, but if they had massive natural resources and the infrastructure to exploit them, they could easily either leverage them into protection or use all the extra money to buy soldiers as well as teachers.

And I'm wondering. There are several African countries that supposedly have these enormous resources, not much army or government to speak of yet don't get invaded. Any insight as to why?

[–] A delicious frugal meal: Yellow Fried Rice (recipe and cost breakdown in comments) MrXian 1 points ago in Frugal

I was thinking where you spend that much for onions and tumeric.

( Pro tip: if there is an importer near you, check if they have a store connected to their warehouse. Ultra cheap spices. )

[–] Wow! Look at all those markers! MrXian 1 points ago in assholedesign

73 marker, 73 lids, one bucket, one bucket lid, one disclaimer and one cardboard insert.

    Totals 150.

There are insufficient numbers to do the math here.

Eating a little more salts may not be a bad idea even if you have pots as the other posters suggest. Salts because you should get a little magnesium and potassium as well if you can. Drink some more water while your are at it.

    And don't go overboard.

[–] Why do people wear shoes in the house? MrXian 1 points ago in NoStupidQuestions

If people wear shoes in the house regularly, it's kinda gross not to. If people don't wear shoes indoors, it's kinda gross to do so.

So it's one or the other.

They are designed to be that way.
