I thought everything in the first half of the episode was really well done! The tension was intense. You could sense everyone's fear of Daenerys, the tragedy of Tyrion losing his family, and Jon's feeling of helplessness.

I cried when Tyrion finds Cersei and Jaime. I was engrossed all the way through the election of Bran as king.

Once he is elected the show very quickly winds down. Everyone is sent to be in their end placement. I'm hoping Arya gets a spin-off of her adventures.

I wish Bran's election was in the penultimate episode so the show could have dedicated an entire episode showing these characters settling into the next part of their lives and really giving the audience closure befitting of this wonderful decade long series.

Overall, this final season felt super rushed and I wish they gave both seasons 7 and 8 the full 10 episodes to give breathing room for development. They had good story beats, but the payoffs often felt unearned.

The king Westeros deserves, but not the one it needs right now.

Agreed. I'll start reading it when I know the series is complete.

I did love Bronn's reaction to Bran saying, "I'll try to find it." I wish the show took more time showing other people interact with the Three Eyed Raven.

The episode had a really strong start. The tension was palpable!

Once Bran was named king, the wrap up was too quick and easy. Also, why would Tyrion not be included in the history book?! Just for a chuckle?! Really? He's the one who chose Bran to be king!

It would've been the most Jon spoke all season.

She went to secure the Iron Islands so it was a safe haven should they lose against the Night King while Theon left to fight with Winterfell.

Someone, please animate Bran in a rolling Iron Throne. If not for yourself, do it for the rest of us.

[–] Is the TV show worth it (as someone who reads the novels)? NaiadoftheSea 1 points ago in Outlander

There are things in season 4 that aren't done too well, but Jamie and Claire are always wonderful. The show does a great job of setting the time and place of each location.
