Write “computer science” abbreviated and see if they become agitated

[–] [Shitpost] What is something you really should know by now but feel like it’s too late to ask? Neuromancy_ 5 points ago in medicalschool

That was SO HELPFUL. If only my preclinical professors used the analogy “fist pressed against a balloon”, I never would have had this problem. Thank you so much

I am 1 year away from having an M.D. and I still don’t understand intra vs. retro peritoneal. I have the contents of each memorized but I don’t conceptually “get” it

[–] Sh*t Natalists Say Neuromancy_ 2 points ago in antinatalism

It’s to keep track of developmental milestones during the first 2 years because babies change significantly on the scale of months. Although it’s only useful for discussion of that context (like with their pediatrician). I’m not sure why parents describe age in months in casual contexts amongst friends

[–] [Meme] The perils of a med student Neuromancy_ 95 points ago in medicalschool

Unglamorous because of how billing and reimbursement works. If the salary was flipped with ortho, the line would be an equally unfair “my friends will actually be assessing and treating multiple comorbidities while I’m a glorified carpenter in Montana”

[–] [Meme] That’s some concerning AMS Neuromancy_ 3 points ago in medicalschool

Nope but glad the meme is apparently relatable

[–] [Meme] I missed out on the hazing Neuromancy_ 7 points ago in medicalschool

Interesting but hugely risky as a third year who needs grades to get a job

[–] What is the most liberating realization you’ve ever had? Neuromancy_ 1 points ago in AskReddit

Personally, I’ve felt much more free ever since realizing that emotions are usually optional

[–] What is the most liberating realization you’ve ever had? Neuromancy_ 1 points ago in AskReddit

Yeah same for me. I grew up with ego problems and then realized in college it wasn’t super healthy for me to be told from birth that I was a member of the creator of the universe’s super special chosen ones (Judaism)

Thank you I was also surprised. My takeaway is that Reddit is pro mob mentality and I shouldn’t post again. This has been stressful being criticized over nothing all day.

Possibly. The microscope was extra cheap and I am extra incompetent

I did use the same setup. It's a cheap amateur microscope, I am not a clothing or microscopy expert.

Oh I see. But that’s the joke, our “essential role” is anything but

    M3

    Edit: I see now mb
