    Sometimes correlation is not causation. They could have been killed a tiny bit by the permethrin and repelled and then maybe found a more hospitable home but there is 0 chance that years later that stuff is doing anything at all. It's essentially concentrated chrysanthemum oil and it photodegrades very very quickly.
