Also doesn't help that wireless carriers (at least in the U.S.) generally only carry/provide LTE support for Samsung and Apple wearables.

[–] What's going on with Ellen Page and Chris Pratt being anti-LGBTQ? Pegasusisme 67 points ago in OutOfTheLoop

I think most Baptist churches are more Evangelical or fundamentalist than Mainline. But my experience has been largely with SBC.

This is not to say there's no issues in Mainline churches either. The United Methodists are expected to schism over LGBT rights this year.

[–] What's going on with Ellen Page and Chris Pratt being anti-LGBTQ? Pegasusisme 56 points ago in OutOfTheLoop

I saw a survey analysis a few months ago that basically said that how often you read the Bible inversely correlates to how politically right you are and nothing has ever made more sense to me as a Christian in my life.

Essentially he was leaving it up to the counties to verify who was on the list.

But also, when the head of the Senate calls "Making voting day a national holiday so it's easier for people to vote" a "political power grab", you get the idea that maybe the GOP isn't actually interested in letting people vote.

[–] What are some "guy secrets" girls don't know about? Pegasusisme 1 points ago in AskReddit

I had a girl tell me not to get a piercing once 11 years ago and every time I think about getting one now I remember this incident and don't do it.

[–] Christian apologetic and secular New Testament scholarship. Pegasusisme 5 points ago in AskBibleScholars

I mean, fundamentalist does have a specific doctrinal meaning, but I agree it, like "Evangelical", has been applied so broadly that it's become a stereotype of itself.

Mostly privacy reasons. But also he feels like it's just "innovation" with no real purpose and that price keeps going up while quality keeps going down. And he's a big believer in planned obsolescence, he's had some bad luck with phones especially becoming almost unusable shortly before his upgrades. His Galaxy S7 is a stuttery mess and he got it less than 2 years ago.

Toshiba. But he basically uses it for bookkeeping, email, some very light social media/web browsing, and remoting in to work.

[–] Do you feel like you're losing interest in upgrading your phone? Pegasusisme 21 points ago in Android

I mean, full disclosure I work at a phone store and I constantly see people asking for models 2 years out of date or more because the new ones are too expensive, and the #1 question I get asked is "My bill is x, what am I paying for?"

[–] Do you feel like you're losing interest in upgrading your phone? Pegasusisme 70 points ago in Android

My dad, the computer programmer who hates new tech, essentially said "I paid $800 for a laptop 8 years ago and it still works like new. If I pay $800 for a phone it better last at least that long."

[–] I'm having a hard time understanding HJ Res 28. Pegasusisme 4 points ago in Ask_Politics

So voting against it was essentially the Dems way of saying "We already solved this problem, we don't need to rehash it again?"
