[–] People with social anxiety, how did you get a GF/BF? RedBombX 634 points ago in AskReddit

Idk, guess I got lucky? To be fair, it's still pretty difficult to shut her up. That's just who she is.

I love it, because I get to ponder about why pizzas are round, cut into triangles and put in square boxes. All the while she is asking what I want for dinner. Then we drink and play smash, then she can't shut me up.

    It's a trade off.

[–] What are the downsides of being born to rich family that most people are unaware of? RedBombX 1 points ago in AskReddit

I got super lazy and complacent with life because I knew if I lost a job, money would still be available.

Trying to break that bond now.

She was very outgoing and did most of the talking for both of us until I got more comfortable. It worked out.

She cheated. So I cheated. The spiral continued until we just agreed that's the relationship was over.

When SO insists on wearing sweats, drinking and challenging me to some Smash.

Delusional that she can beat me, but still cute.

[–] Redditors who are clearly NOT the favorite child, how did that affect you? RedBombX 1 points ago in AskReddit

It wasn't anything horrible. Just little things here and there. My parents split when I was 10 and she was 7. Young for both of us, but I remember more.

Dad wasn't apart of our lives until he recently died this year (I'm now 29). Mom did the best she could raising 2 kids. Upper middle class with well connected and financially helpful family, but it just seemed like she got most of the attention. I got a job at 15, was bought a car at 16, college was paid for.

So, it wasn't so much as a financial thing, just an emotional one. Mom worked long hours, so I understand. Little sister would just get the bulk of attention and I was left to my own devices. Which led to growing and selling drugs to supplement my income, addiction problems, low self esteem issues. I don't place the blame solely on them though. I made my own decisions.

So it's just a mixed bag of emotions and problems.

[–] Do you encounter violence very often living in the USA? RedBombX 1 points ago in AskAnAmerican

I live in all places as a state called Florida, which has become a running joke on the internet.

Never encountered anybody that would be considered a "Florida man" and I've never felt in danger by just walking down the street. Sure, you can put yourself in sketchy situations, but that can happen anywhere.

Plus even though our incarceration is high, the conditions are nothing like the rest of the world (from what I've seen). If I were going to be locked up, I'd hands down want it to happen here over any other country on the planet.
