[–] Names you've completely changed your mind about? ReservoirPussy 2 points ago in namenerds

You ever see ads or references to IT where Pennywise the clown is in a storm drain? He abducts a little boy named Georgie in that scene and it's deeply disturbing and traumatizing for the audience and characters, Georgie being the kind of main character's little brother. He's mainly shown in a yellow rain hat, slicker, and boots, holding a red balloon.

I don't remember it being a cat... it was definitely a dog, though.

[–] If you say there's no "good" cancer, you had the "good" cancer. ReservoirPussy 1 points ago in unpopularopinion

I'm so sorry for your loss.

One of my uncles had esophageal, and suffered outrageously for six months. He starved. He weighed 110 pounds when he passed, and he was 6'1". It was incredibly fast and torturously slow at the same time- it was brutal and scarring for everyone around him... it's been 3 years and it's still hard.

Are you really a survivor if you get a carcinoma nicked off your shoulder? Is that not a "good" cancer to get as opposed to the deadly and/or tortuous ones?

Absolutely not, your lives were clearly threatened and left permanent damage. I'm saying these people with a couple funky moles saying "there's no such thing as 'good' cancer" and calling themselves survivors are full of it.

[–] What comes across as selfish but actually isn’t? ReservoirPussy 2 points ago in AskReddit

Bonus points if you're holding your own child when you say it

[–] Doctors won’t give me antibiotics for my UTI. ReservoirPussy 3 points ago in AskDocs

This is interesting. Do they give something for the pain, at least, then? I think I'd rather break a bone without pain meds than have a UTI for a week.

You can't fool me, they made three movies about you and your rag tag champion hockey teams!

Omg, Potter Puppet Pals with dicks! I'd text back that one. Especially if they got a firecrotch for Ron.

[–] Jameela Jamil and the "celebrity effect" ReservoirPussy 1 points ago in namenerds

Hahaha, I don't know about that, but it makes me feel better.

[–] Tell me your most successful “salvaged dish” story ReservoirPussy 10 points ago in Cooking

Brilliant! I'm stealing this. My husband thanks you in advance

[–] This is the best REAL name of any person I've ever met! ReservoirPussy 4 points ago in namenerds

    Benjamin Franklin ("Hawkeye") Pierce!

And, for a deep cut, George Washington McClintock!

[–] Sub to show people weird quotes people you know have said? ReservoirPussy 4 points ago in findareddit

Aw, my friends and I did this! We used post-it notes and at the end of the year we'd put them in a book.

[–] Funny! Also, I’m dying. ReservoirPussy 37 points ago in oldpeoplefacebook

I'm fluent in old people language- with that phrasing the husband will be working in the medical field, likely doctor or nurse. Bonus points if they're unrelated specialties like dentist.

[–] Abandoned storage locker reveals a long-lost wallet — and a glimpse into Diane Keaton's past ReservoirPussy 58 points ago in entertainment

Yes. She was called "Annie" as a nickname for "Diane", "Hall" is her real last name, and Woody wrote the movie for her/ about her because he was charmed by her goofy nature. Per imdb.

[–] I’m a vegetarian. MIL served a meat only thanksgiving dinner, and then shamed me for not eating. ReservoirPussy 0 points ago in JUSTNOMIL

Gelatin is a by-product of the meat industry-- like leather, which is vegetarian, but not vegan. You don't hear of vegetarian footwear, but you do vegan. Of course everyone has their own definitions and has to decide for themselves what's acceptable to them, but the vegetarians I know have no problem with jello or leather shoes.
