Fair enough mate. Nah, someone else showed me a picture of your hit dogs, and I've never seen anything like it in my life. We just have completely different concepts of sausages and got dogs and stuff here

Yea but that wasn't my point, I was trying to show how different you lot are to us.

That hot dog looks 100% alien to me, I've never seen anything like that, even in the movies. Down here if you had a sausage like that you'd eat it, and bread would go nowhere near it. I guess that's why I got downvoted so much, Americans and Australians just have completely different concepts on sausages and hot dogs and shit.

Yea Australia and the US are quite culturally similar, but we're not like a 51st state or whatever, we're culturally distinct. For reference, along with burgers, pizza and kebabs, we love Asian foods (like Chinese, Viet, Thai and sushi), and Indian foods. I guess that's because in America, most of your immigrants would be from Mexico and stuff, while most of ours comes from across Asia, giving us curries, kebabs and East Asian.

I wish we had one right now, we shouldn't have voted for Trump.

I guess everything is clearer with 20-20 hindsight

Toppings? Nah mate. You chuck a couple of sausages on your barbeque, have some bread (slightly charred, or not, up to you). You take a sausage, place it diagonally across the bread, and then splash some tomato sauce, BBQ sauce, or mustard across it. Its an Aussie staple, shit like Bunnings snags are stuff we swear by.

I dunno about other Aussies, but I've always seen the "hot dogs", with buns, cheese, and toppings, as purely American food. I had one when I was a kid, and never since. I've also never had a taco in my life, though I have had three of the soft shell things (burritos I think), though this might just be me. Tacos and hot dogs are defo not anywhere close to the level of stuff like burgers, pizzas and fried chicken down under, in fact I know a lot of people who've never had either in their lives.

Edit: I'll also mention that instead of eating shit like tacos and hot dogs, we have kebabs. Dunno how popular kebabs are up in the States, but down here it's 100%, one on every bloody street

That's what I'm talking about! We have that all the time, and call em snags, fuck using buns.

Is that a something that shocked you, or is that just something you're trying to bring up for a couple of political points?
