    You mean Dixie?

[–] Unpopular Opinion: Making voices detracts from the game more often than it adds to it RoboNinjaPirate -1 points ago in DnD

I agree wholeheartedly. It's very difficult for me to interpret what someone is saying when they are using a forced accent.

[–] ‘Agents of SHIELD’ Has One of the MCU’s Best Female Superheroes RoboNinjaPirate 16 points ago in shield

    No, she faced difficulties.

A REAL female hero never has any difficulties at all and is awesome at everything on the first try.

In Spring with Fescue in NC, A week and I'm overgrown. I'm trying not to go to 5 day cycles at this point.

If you like getting up close and personal, a Tempest Cleric is a hoot to play. Lots of in your face action, great AC if you focus on it and great damage potential.

But being able to max out the thunder damage when they criticize is great.

Also great for a tempest cleric or a paladin

[–] Women my age weren't called 'autistic' growing up. We were awkward or 'rude.' And we missed out on services. - PublicSource | News for a better Pittsburgh RoboNinjaPirate 1 points ago in autism

I'm about that age, but male. About 99% of that also applies to my experience as well.

I don't want to minimize what she has gone through, but most of it has to do with the Autistic part, not the Women part.

Especially when running against someone who used it as a dump stat.

[–] People always say there’s scholarships that nobody applies for, but where the hell are they? RoboNinjaPirate 1 points ago in ApplyingToCollege

I got a Scholarship from the NC Waterproofer's Association (My dad was a Waterproofer) and one from my HS Bowling League.

I used to jokingly tell people that I went to college on a Bowling Scholarship.

[–] Do part time jobs account for anything? RoboNinjaPirate 1 points ago in ApplyingToCollege

I'm not sure how much effect it has specifically for admissions, but you do learn a TON of valuable life lessons from your first jobs.

Responsibility - Showing up on time, ready for work, in uniform.

Working with others - For many this is the first time they have been reporting to a boss - who is a lot different than a teacher, coach, scoutmaster or parent.

A more realistic view of teamwork than you might get from school projects in a team.

    Money management skills.

My son could be in a lot of other extracurriculars, but I'd far rather him spend some time in a part time job in HS. I suspect that many colleges will also see it that way.

In modern DnD it may be the most important.
