[–] Why is Parris Campbell so lowly rated? SaltineStealer4 1 points ago in NFL_Draft

He was the leading receiver on the team, had like 90 catches. Limited role?

It’s ignorant to think that a baseline animalistic instinct to survive is somehow higher thought.

I would guess that it doesn’t posses the higher level of consciousness necessary to yearn for freedom.

I got bashed for saying similar things in an r/NFL thread. No idea why people think this isn’t the case.

[–] [Clancy] There’s no way the Giants are drafting Dwayne Haskins now. Eli is going to start & they’ll be in the perfect position to draft Tua in 2020. Why draft Haskins to sit on the bench for a year & miss out on Tagovailoa? Not happening. And Eli’s definitely starting. So...... SaltineStealer4 1 points ago in nfl

Right if your team is so dominant that you never have to play a game to completion, I’ll wonder about if you’re all you’re cracked up to be. Tua didn’t get better the whole season, he was the same guy. In fact, he played his worst games against his best opponents at the end of the season. That opposite is true for Haskins. He shines on the big stage, and his trajectory was only going up throughout the season. He reads the whole field, has a better arm and is equally as cerebral. The only difference I see is the deep ball, and the Tide receivers were wide open all season, and more talented.

I wish that we could get some insight into the behind the scenes of this recruiting stuff. What was Georgia selling to this kid that made him think he was going to come in and unseat a quality starter? Baffling.

[–] What's one high paying job which you can get without having a decades of experience? SaltineStealer4 1 points ago in AskMen

They have a bid specifically for the New York tracon that comes out periodically. If you get the Enroute specialty at the academy you can request the New York Enroute center if you pass. Both of those facilities are difficult to staff due to the cost of living and the complexity of the airspace they work. Otherwise you agree at the beginning to move anywhere in the country.

You can PM me if you have additional questions. I say regardless of the possible issues, go for it you think you can do it!

Well when you apply to the open bid, you sign a document stating that you will accept working in any location in the US, and possibly those outside the US in Guam and Puerto Rico. There are 2 specialties at the academy, tower and enroute. Enroute centers are near major cities, 22 in 19 different states. There are obviously a ton of possible tower options. As for the Diabetes question, from my limited knowledge, it’s pretty rare but there are controllers working with it now. They have a ton of extra stipulations placed on them however.

I’ve heard similar stories to the one above, but it really isn’t that bad. ATC Is as hard as you make it. Some controllers are rockstars, almost never look stressed and breeze through the day. Others make it hard for themselves and smoke a pack a day during their breaks. Depending on the speciality that you get assigned, and how quickly you are able to catch on and train, you could be making 130k+ in 3 years. Hard to find a position that allows you to do that.

I don’t know if “beat out” is the right way to frame that. It wasn’t his job to lose. Also, if you only have a few years in college to really make a name for yourself, why would you sit and wait?

Well in my experience you don’t answer yes to the questions that say “I regularly hear voices telling me to do things” or “ I have thought about murdering my entire family”.
