[–] Et Tu, Bernie? ScotchforBreakfast 1 points ago in ChapoTrapHouse

Hedges has always been unhinged when discussing Sanders. This article is par for the course.

[–] Trump’s at 45% in the latest Gallup poll, his highest since inauguration. And /r/politics doesn’t seem to want to discuss it. ScotchforBreakfast 10 points ago in ChapoTrapHouse

Support for Trump didn’t grow because of the brutalization of immigrant children. Do you really think there was some group of immigrant hardliners that DIDN’T approve of Trump? Come the fuck on.

Polls don’t instantly capture movement in political opinion. Last week Trump bucked the establishment of both parties when he started peace talks with North Korea. That’s exactly the type of move that Obama-Trump voters want and whose support level has dropped off.

If the dems under-preform, it is far more likely that the right revokes elections or fully rigs them.

Simply, they aren't held accountable by the voters, so why would the right bother with democracy anymore?

It's a bump from the North Korea Summit, the average person wants peace.

Thankfully, Trump is too stupid to take a W and the immigration detention of children is getting top billing.

Expect a huge crash next week.

The grifters arguing for Bernie to start a third-party embarrass themselves every time they pop-up.

He's well-positioned to seize the democratic party. Almost every element of this article is embarrassingly wrong.

[–] State takes on housing and homelessness with 7 new laws ScotchforBreakfast -2 points ago in SeattleWA

More likely OP just has sour grapes that she can't afford a house like her parents raised her in. If you can't beat em join em...Amazon is hiring.

Oh, the glorious tech bro anthem!

"Join us and we promise that you will be worse off than your parents were!"

[–] Komo: man living in homeless camp attacks family from Arizona visiting the Space Needle. Father suffers injuries, nearly strangled, man arrested. ScotchforBreakfast 1 points ago in SeattleWA

How much do you think jailing the homeless costs? Why are right-wingers eager to throw millions of dollars down the drain for incarceration but won’t spare a single thin dime for permanent housing?

No tolerance fascistic policies don’t fucking work.

Why do you think he got popular in the first place bro?

[–] Warren Says Democrats Lack Guts to Take on ‘Billionaire Class’ ScotchforBreakfast 3 points ago in ChapoTrapHouse

She was a fucking corporate lawyer for the fucking tobacco companies, the slimiest job in all of law.

You are really missing a lot of her cons.

She voted against the fucking stimulus package during the Great Recession for fucksake.

She's a terrible fucking candidate compared to Warren.

Why are people so fucking bad at politics?

[–] Will be homeless in a few days. Advice? ScotchforBreakfast 4 points ago in personalfinance

Successful families 'subsidize' each other. They mentor the young and let mistakes happen as long as a path to redemption is available.

Kicking out an 18 year old because they aren't ready for college is abusive behavior.

[–] I hate it when my totally real union takes out $400 per check in dues ScotchforBreakfast 17 points ago in ChapoTrapHouse

I had a relative who was in ALPA and they had dues near that.

Then again, they had just won an industry leading contract with average wages of over 175,000, so it seemed worth it.

[–] Restaurants near Army base that called ICE on pizza guy are refusing to send workers there ScotchforBreakfast 79 points ago in ChapoTrapHouse

They aren't using market logic, if anything a pizza place near a large military base probably makes a lot of their cash there.

If anything, this is a demonstration of solidarity against the market and against fascism.

    Stop underthinking it.

[–] If Democrats want a blue wave, they need to try voting ScotchforBreakfast 3 points ago in politics

They aren't even finished counting all the votes, this editorial is embarrassing.
