[–] Opinion: We’re one step closer to seeing Trump’s financial records. That’s a win for oversight Thinkingonsleeping 15 points ago * (lasted edited 10 hours ago) in politics

Trump is actively trying to run the clock out betting on a second term when it won't matter what his tax returns say because he believes himself to be above the law.

Edit: words are hard in the morning

[–] Trump escalated his war on Fox News again, slamming anchor Chris Wallace for his coverage of the Ukraine scandal and comparing him unfavorably to his dead father Thinkingonsleeping 46 points ago in politics

Agreed. I wish Chris Wallace worked for a better network because his reporting is good and he (from what i have seen) pulls no punches and isn't afraid to cut through the bullshit and get at the heart of the issues.

[–] Rudy Giuliani Is in a Lot of Trouble Thinkingonsleeping 663 points ago * (lasted edited 4 hours ago) in politics

Last week at his father’s rally in Minnasotta, the president’s simple son led a round of “lock him up” chants aimed squarely at Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. It was more than a little ironic given that, on the same morning, two close associates of his father’s personal lawyer were picked up at Dulles International Airport trying to get out of the country with one-way tickets to Vienna. Or the fact that his father’s last personal lawyer, Michael Cohen, is currently serving time. Or the fact that his father’s campaign manager, Paul Manafort, is also in the big house.

On the one hand, it’s kind of funny that everyone around Donald Trump seems to wind up in jail while he accuses the rest of the world of being corrupt. Like it’s all just some big, strange coincidence.

Edit : Minnesota is spelled incorrectly in the article on purpose.

[–] Bernie Sanders wants to give workers an ownership stakes in big companies Thinkingonsleeping 22 points ago in politics

I remember when workers were given bonuses based on profits (not small ones either), those slowly dissappeared. When we had something to gain besides the bare minimum people cared.

[–] Michigan’s ban on flavored nicotine vaping intact — at least for another day Thinkingonsleeping 8 points ago in politics

By this logic we should not have candy flavored liquor either as it will appeal to children. It makes no sense that we should live in a world where adults are forced to give up our wants because some theoretical parent is not raising their theoretical children.

[–] Adam Schiff Says Whistleblower May Not Testify, Safety ‘Primary Interest’; President Trump has ramped up his attacks on the whistleblower, demanding to know their identity while railing against the impeachment inquiry as a “coup.” Thinkingonsleeping 150 points ago in politics

“I think initially, before the president started threatening the whistleblower, threatening others calling them traitors and spies and suggestion that you know, we used to give them the death penalty to traitors and spies, maybe we should think about that again... Yes we were interested in having the whistleblower come forward,” Schiff said Sunday. “Our primary interest right now is making sure that that person is protected.”

[–] 1 in 5 LGBTQ adults isn’t registered to vote, despite high 2020 stakes Thinkingonsleeping 1 points ago in politics

No I have said or expressed in any way that we should all think alike. As a matter of fact, I would never dream of having an abortion yet I will fight till my dieing breath other women's right to choose, because although it is wrong for me it is not my business what other women choose to do.

With that said it is up to all of us to stand up and be counted when mysoginy rears it's ugly head. I am no better than anyone else and nobody is better than me.

As a side, I have loved red winged blackbirds my whole life and now I'm looking forward to finding the female of the species. And I thank you for that.

I just said that it isn't about any political issue. They can believe anything goes they want. I have never bashed anyone for their beliefs, not my thing.

I expect women to stand up and be counted and to be more than a wife and obedient servant. We need to stand up for each other.

(Also very nice birding pictures, I just learned about female red winged blackbirds. Who knew.l

As a woman I expect other women to stand up to Republican's mysoginistic tactics. They will stop at nothing to put us vile women in our place. To be clear it's not about Roe v. Wade, or any other political issue. It's about a party who is complacent in the face of "grabbing them by the pussy", and a supreme court justice who was approved for the bench while under investigation for rape. I could name a million things they have done to hurt women but I feel like you already know all this.

So yes a gender traitor, that's the nicest thing I could say.

The thing is if they are that far gone that sticking it to the libs is more important than all the shady shit Trump has done then they will never come to the light. They are just too far gone.

I have family like this, woefully uninformed, female middle class. All she can say is sticking it to the libs bullshit. I call her a gender traitor.

[–] Militia-style group, Oath Keepers, will be in Dallas for Trump rally Thinkingonsleeping 45 points ago in politics

These guys are actively pushing for a civil war. Guess they forgot who lost last time.

[–] Dems Lose Every Which Way on Impeachment Thinkingonsleeping 7 points ago in politics

Yeah, I'm not seeing that. I'm seeing republicans jumping from a sinking ship while charges are piling up. But yeah you do you and some day you will be forced to face reality.
