[–] Firewood question TunaMustard 4 points ago in OhioCamping

I went in the fall, but the firewood at Findley was mostly moldy crap.

There's a private residence catty corner from the main entrance that sells much better quality wood for much cheaper (self service with a lockbox to pay). Not sure if they'll have it this time of year or not. Park staff actually recommended this to me over the park's wood.

I'd get Walmart wood over the crap at the park though.

NTA. It's a food bank. Think of it like a regular bank. You can make a "deposit" to repay your "loan" down the road when times are better for you.

Yeah I suspect the guns they still sell accounted for the vast majority of their sales even before the change.

FMLA almost certainly would have applied at Dick's corporate.

The US has some awesome minor league cities. I wish some of the sports worked this way instead of the minors just being a farm system.

If you're in the US, that's illegal.

health insurance companies can’t refuse to cover you or charge you more just because you have a “pre-existing condition

[–] What product is completely useless that people buy anyway? TunaMustard 4 points ago in AskReddit

No you can't charge people differently based on health conditions.

[–] What product is completely useless that people buy anyway? TunaMustard 5 points ago in AskReddit

You can no longer be denied coverage for pre-existing conditions. I'm 99.9% sure he misunderstood that health insurance plan.

The only way it makes sense is super short term. Like pay $400 for 4 weeks coverage, and you're covered up to $5,000 for that month.

[–] What product is completely useless that people buy anyway? TunaMustard 9 points ago in AskReddit

Yeah I think he misunderstood the plan. Health insurance is complex and messed up in this country, but it's not that level of messed up.

[–] What are you boycotting? TunaMustard 1 points ago in AskReddit

Yeah I agree. From a business standpoint, Target and Amazon are probably Walmart's biggest threats.

Automotive is one of the few reasons I'll still occasionally shop at Walmart.

[–] What are you boycotting? TunaMustard 2 points ago in AskReddit

Meijer and Walmart have more complete automotive, hardware, furniture, and sporting goods sections than Target to name a few. They're also both open 24 hours (usually at least), unlike most Targets.

[–] What are you boycotting? TunaMustard 3 points ago in AskReddit

I just mean as a consumer Meijer is the store that is most similar to Walmart.

[–] What video game did you play as a kid but couldn't beat because of a part of the game was too hard but came back to it when you were older to find out that it wasnt that hard at all? TunaMustard 3 points ago in AskReddit

Beauty and The Beast for Sega Genesis.

It's a 2D sidescrolling RPG. Early on, there's a rock you can't pass unless you go back and talk to someone or something. But I had only ever played platformers, beat em ups, and arcade-y games. So I just tried to jump the rock, go over the rock, break the rock, etc. Nobody in my family could figure it out. There had never been a reason to backtrack in any game we'd played before.

[–] What are you boycotting? TunaMustard 8 points ago in AskReddit

I actually meant more like the product selection. Like Meijer has respectable automotive care, sporting goods, and hardware departments just like Walmart does. Target usually has like 1 aisle for each of those things, if that.

[–] What are you boycotting? TunaMustard 148 points ago in AskReddit

Meijer is everything Walmart should be.

Meijer, not Target, is the true competitor to Walmart.

[–] How can I extend my rear tow hook? TunaMustard 1 points ago in GrandCherokee

I do NOT plan to tow anything

I don't have an answer to your question, but do note that tow hooks are for you being towed if you get stuck. Towing things requires a hitch, which you don't have.

Just an FYI so you don't decide to buy a camper or boat in a few years without adding a hitch.
