[–] AITA for not telling my family that I joined the Peace Corps and am leaving for about two years? TunaMustard 6 points ago in AmItheAsshole

Is there really a difference between me being far away in another country than in another state?

Yes. They might visit you in a different state. They probably aren't going to visit you in a poor, remote Ugandan village.

Time zone differences, lack of telecommunications, safety and health concerns to boot.

[–] WIBTA for not inviting a friend of mine to be a groomsmen at my wedding? TunaMustard 1 points ago in AmItheAsshole

At his bachelor party last weekend, he made it pretty clear that he was expecting to be asked to join my groomsparty. Me being the coward I am, said nothing and drank more alcohol

That's not cowardice; it's manners. No need to blow his mood during his own party.

NTA...but you might ask him anyway. It's not really a big deal in most weddings. 100% your decision though

[–] AITA for not waking up at night with our baby? TunaMustard 6 points ago in AmItheAsshole

Could you guys shift schedules a bit for the next month or two until things settle? Like can you just get up at 4 or 5 and do your own thing, being available for the baby if needed?

[–] AITA for taking my ex-fiances parents "bribe" to break up with him? TunaMustard 14 points ago in AmItheAsshole

INFO - were you financially capable of moving out and breaking up without the money?

[–] WIBTA if I said no to my roommate's request? TunaMustard 2 points ago in AmItheAsshole

OP agreed to live with his roommate, not his roommate's cousin. There are still common areas in the apartment. The empty room is not the full picture.

[–] WIBTA if I said no to my roommate's request? TunaMustard 3 points ago in AmItheAsshole

Abso-fuckin-lutely not. All roommates need to agree and approve of a new roommate.

[–] HBO requests Trump stop using Game of Thrones memes ‘for political purposes’ TunaMustard 1 points ago * (lasted edited 21 hours ago) in politics

I assure people all across the political spectrum appreciate art in all different ways. You're too full of yourself if you really think "hurr durr republicans can't appreciate art correctly." It's needlessly divisive.

[–] GUN SHOOT TunaMustard 7 points ago in crappyoffbrands

    Don't forget to pre-order!

[–] “Wow maternity is like a holiday, what will you do with all the time off?” TunaMustard 19 points ago in Parenting

I took 7 unpaid days of paternity leave (9 calendar days). People acted like that was some great luxury.

[–] AITA for tipping $3 TunaMustard 22 points ago in AmItheAsshole

It sort of comes into play at cheap places. Like if your tipping rule is "$5 or 20%", and you got a split bill of $8 at Denny's, you might leave $2 (rounding up from 20%) instead of $5 since everyone else is tipping too.

[–] Wait, what? TunaMustard 5 points ago in ShitMomGroupsSay

His excuse is that he thinks consent is necessary and people have the right to decide for themselves, even if they make a stupid decision.

    He still recommends vaccination.

[–] Wait, what? TunaMustard 12 points ago in ShitMomGroupsSay

Big difference between "antivax" and "anti mandatory vaccination"

[–] AITA for not wanting to meet my son that was born after I got divorced? TunaMustard 4 points ago in AmItheAsshole

Get some therapy and explore this. The real reason isn't "i dunno". Figure out what the mental block is, get past it, and then step up and be a father.

"AITA if I'm an absentee father?"

    Yes, of course.

[–] AITA for not wanting to be a permanent part of my 11-year-old daughter's life TunaMustard -32 points ago * (lasted edited a day ago) in AmItheAsshole

Because he's her bio-dad dude...you can't just throw money at kids and fuck off when they want you to be in their life.

Well legally he can, but morally he's an ass.

    ETA: bio-dad

[–] AITA for not wanting to be a permanent part of my 11-year-old daughter's life TunaMustard -34 points ago in AmItheAsshole

ESH. You don't need to take custody or anything, but you're a total asshole if you don't want to be involved in her life at all.

College party girl sucks too for keeping it hidden.
