Nobody is trying to police women's bodies. People are advocating for Twitch to remove the blatant appeals to sex and enforce their rules. Twitch streamers shouldn't be able to whip their dicks out just as much as they shouldn't be able to pretend to masturbate on stream since the rules explicitly forbid it. The fact that you are making this about misogyny is ridiculous.

They're taking advantage of young hormones and socially awkward gamers. I bet most of the viewers aren't even of age, which seems rather predatory when you think about it. This is just as predatory as gambling in videogames marketed to kids, only instead of gambling it's sex.

It's refreshing to see a piece that uses a caricature-like style in a serious way.

Apparently the Lasso of Truth only works if you explain it to the victim.

This bothered me so much. Everything in the movie was explained through dialogue right after it happened. It felt patronizing and cringey.

Seriously, the amount of generic praise this movie is getting makes me think WB is at least 60% of the posts here.

[–] Official Discussion: Justice League [SPOILERS] TwerpOco 31 points ago in movies

This movie felt like a skeleton script where every event felt like it was on a checklist of "things to do in a superhero film." They did the bare minimum to accomplish each task and there was no cohesion or flow from one point to the next.

☐ Introduce generic villain with generic motives

☐ Warn Wonder Woman in the laziest way possible so they have an excuse to assemble the team.

☐ Assemble team as quickly as possible

    ☐ Wake up deadboi Superman

☐ Make an attempt at conflict between Superman and crew that will fizzle out in minutes.

☐ Show villain knocking around heroes as they "fight" with no noteworthy fight choreography between the characters.

☐ Superman shrugs off his convictions towards Batman and now they have erections for each other again (for such a strong superhero, Superman really has no spine).

☐ Superman saves the day because the generic-ass crew wasn't doing shit to generic-ass villain.

☐ Oops gotta go save some civilians real quick in the middle of battle.

☐ Introduce frost breath in the weakest way possible.

    ☐ Save the day.

☐ Sneak in a "Booyah!" so the fanboys can finally cum.

    ☐ Roll credits.

    ☐ After scene credits

[–] With all these accusations coming out, they're not all going to be true. Don't jump on Witch Hunts, innocent until proven guilty. TwerpOco 0 points ago in videos

One could just be a one off. Any more than that means the accused has some explaining to do.

Again, that isn't how burden of proof works. The accused doesn't need to disprove the accuser's claims.

Not every murder is caught on camera, but that doesn’t mean there is no evidence for it.

What are you getting at? The police aren't going to put someone in jail because two people claim that person C killed someone. They'll investigate, but it sure as hell isn't grounds for arrest if there isn't any evidence.

You might think I’m making assumptions about the accused but your making those same assumptions about at least two victims.

I am not making assumptions about the victims. I'm saying there needs to be evidence for me to react. I'm not saying they're liars or that they're wrong, but I won't witch hunt.

If two or more public figures are willing to put their livelihoods in jeopardy to take down someone else, it’s not something hat should be dismissed

I don't care who it is, that just pushes the problem back. If everyone takes an accuser's word as gospel, then there aren't repercussions for false accusers because it would be impossible to know if they're being dishonest. Thus, they aren't risking anything.

Also. Unless one of you on this forum is a psycho who throws bricks through windows or calls people they hate to threaten them, no one here is ruining lives. We’re just talking

It's not just talking. It's societal pressure. Why do you think Netflix cut ties with Kevin Spacey? Because of the public outcry against him. They didn't want to be associated with a pedophile. Rightfully so I might add, but clearly the public has major influence.

Now imagine a world where we witch hunt anyone who's accused without evidence; public outcry can easily ruin a career, even when the public may be wrong.

Look I don't like rapists or sexual assault any more than the next person, but a healthy dose of skepticism is important. The burden of proof lies on whomever makes the claim. I don't think most people with a head on their shoulders thinks sexual assault is okay. Also, if someone says they've been sexually assaulted, then it isn't okay to dismiss their claims with "bitches be crazy." That being said, you need more than accusations to justify ruining someone's life through witch hunting.

That's what witch hunting is. A few people call someone a witch and then the mob agrees and kills them.

The cases I've heard of in the media right now are legitimate as far as I can tell (some even admitted to the SA). However, if we just start accepting accusations as gospel then we're in a bad extreme.

I really liked the part where you hinted that you know about their secret agenda. Clearly a Hollywood shill, amirite? No need to even refute their argument or anything, just make some shit up and hope nobody notices! Brilliant!

I accuse you of being a gullible sheep!

I don't need evidence to back up my claim, I just need some other people to start accusing you and then it becomes true.

Aye, but the burden of proof lay on the party/parties making the original claim.

That's a great question, I was wondering the same thing. Maybe it's just because of the nature of the dating game? Women are typically sought after and men are typically the pursuers. A man once divorced but a will to remarry has a chance of remarrying to a woman who's never been married before whereas a man who doesn't want to pursue marriage will remain unmarried. Now that I type it out, it made more sense in my head. The scenario could possibly be applied to both genders, so I'm really not sure.

Don't get me wrong, 80 hours is a lot of work and the project requirements sound extensive. The Eagle Project has no hour requirement, but indeed I do recall all the paperwork and planning needed for my project to be approved by the council. My project was a total of about 50 hours of work when I summed up the planning, fundraising, and execution. Granted, I know there are a lot of troops who let their scouts get away with building a bench. That being said, I really don't think Eagle Scout is comparable to Gold Award if the only requirement is an 80 hour project. Gold Award is still a big achievement, I just don't think it should be compared to Eagle Rank. Hear me out. The Eagle Rank has many more requirements that take several years to complete. It's a bit deceptive because each rank is like a Russian nesting doll of other requirements since each rank requires the rank that comes before it. For instance, the Eagle Rank requires 21 merit badges (many of which each take a significant amount of time), the Eagle Project (like the Gold Award's project but no time requirement or sustainability requirement), a six-month leadership position within the troop (while a Life Scout), a few miscellaneous things, and the rank of Life Scout. This last one is important because in order to get Life Scout, you need to be an active Star Scout rank for six months, another six month leadership position (while a Star Scout), community service hours, and some miscellaneous things. Each of the six ranks have similar requirements all the way down, and all are required for Eagle Scout. Here's the requirements for First Class rank, which comes before Star. It's a great example of the miscellaneous requirements in each rank the scout must complete alongside the merit badges and community service hours. Follow the links to the other ranks to see more.

I am not trying to belittle the honor of the Gold Award by any means, I think it's a wonderful achievement. I just don't personally think it's comparable to the Eagle Scout rank given what you've said. I think that it would be awesome to give girls the same opportunity to achieve the rank of Eagle Scout, which is why I support Venture Troops and BSA's recent decision to include female scouts.

I might also add that the Life Scout requirement for the Eagle Scout rank is a Matryoshka doll of requirements since it requires the previous rank which requires the previous rank before that one and so on for all six ranks. Each rank has things like leadership position requirements, camping hours, merit badges, and other miscellaneous requirements.

The Girl Scouts have the Gold Award, which takes similar time and effort to achieve.

As an Eagle Scout myself, it seems that the main similarity is the planning, organizing, and leading the Eagle Project/Gold Award journey. I was having trouble finding a list of the other requirements for the Gold Award, but from what I saw the Eagle Rank and Gold Award seem like very different paths. If I'm understanding this correctly, the Gold Award requires several group planned projects to help the community then an individual project. This is very different from the Eagle Scout rank which requires only one individual project, a 6 month leadership position, several years in the troop (need all previous ranks some which have time reqs), merit badges, and some miscellaneous requirements. I'm assuming there are more requirements for the Gold Award like badges and camping hours, but I couldn't find a good listing. The girl scout site only mentioned the projects. Could you possibly list a few of the main requirements needed for the Gold Award?
