Was put on wellbutrin. Saying SSRIs then anti depressants was a bit confusing though.

Just for clarification we are talking about SSRIs right and like anti depressants?

[–] Woman get abused by boyfriend, guy manages to bring up being "friend-zoned." WholesomeScraps 3 points ago in sadcringe

If I were being abused and saw that when someone else came out about possible abuse that there were discussion right away about the validity of it. I would be less likely to do it. I know people who went through horrible abuse and there was doubt in their mind about if they had a right to complain. It's amazing what can become normal to people. It's incredibly sensitive issue that giving the benefit of the doubt would make a huge difference. Now anyone actually involved in a proper investigation should be as critical as necessary. Maybe everyone else could just keep it to themselves until after a proper investigation. Just my perspective. I'm not telling you what to do.

In this case less is more. I'm not looking to help but being critical about a sensitive issue is detrimental. Especially when you're not involved. It's the small things in life.

I think they mean a real investigation. Not one based on Facebook posts. Just because you can be critical doesn't make it an investigation

Canada here also. Learning French in school was less about learning and more about meeting minimum language standards. Outside of a few provinces Canada doesn't really deserve the bilingual title.

It sounds like you have a lot of experience with being depressed. Sometimes I found comfort in the bad times because I had been through them before and they might not have always got better, but they didn't always suck as much.

[–] Living is my problem, I know how to solve it. WholesomeScraps 1 points ago in SuicideWatch

It made perfect sense. People are really shitty for talking about how others suicide will effect them. I mean it's tragic for them, but damn that's cold. Like looking at some one else's house burn down and being sad.

It also means they care about you though and want you to be better. They lack the ability to properly communicate it though.

Very vague answer, but you won't find something to live for with what you already have or had. Something has to change for it to get better. It's not always what we expect it to be.

I'm really sorry she couldn't be there for you.

Free app called headspace that does a 10 session introduction to the concept of mindfulness. Helped me really process shitty days with shitty thoughts. Each session is only 10 minutes so it's nice and short and can do one when you need it.

Also CBT was the best practice I learned from therapy. That exercise bullshit is rookie class. Type of comments you would get on wholesome memes.

Anhedonia hits hard. I remember being in the middle of hockey, something I loved, and it was like a light switch. Went from enjoying it to just stopping and wondering why I was bothering.

Don't let these tasks stop you! Life is about multi tasking!

Two terms I would look up that definitely fit under depressed is apathy and anhedonia. Good luck. And when you choose to open up just realize that not everyone understands mental illness and as much as they will want to help you. You always have to self advocate.

Depression is incredibly personal. That's why it's so shitty when people one up each other. I would say I'm more numb when really depressed than sad. Also people feel it in different intensities. I kinda feel bad for being so extreme.

Did you have something better to do?

    [–] 2meirl4meirl WholesomeScraps 20 points ago in 2meirl4meirl

Happiness means I have something I can lose. Experience taught me that could be a fleeting feeling.

That panic when you realize that you might have to live with yourself!
