[–] What region in the USA does this quiz say you're from? accountforrunning 2 points ago in AskEurope

I had a fuck ton of "I don't know" answers which I think is why.

It placed me in LA/Corona/Glendale which is fairly accurate because I live 1.5 hours south in San Diego. I probably had 5 that were either "I don't Know" or "I have no word for this"

[–] You spot a food truck while out in your hometown. Name up to 3 items you just know will be on the menu. accountforrunning 1 points ago in AskEurope

It's not bad on a burger or sandwich but it needs to be an accessory and not the main component.

Guacamole is amazing though in my opinion.

[–] How do you know I speak English?! accountforrunning 0 points ago in AskEurope

Do yourself a favor and go to SE Asia and South America. It will make Americans seem very quiet.

Worst thing ever is when you are looking for a nice shirt and spot a great looking fabric and then bam. Short sleeve shirt.

Old women in Europe smile at me all the time.

[–] Does your country have equivalents to Fox News and MSNBC news? accountforrunning 1 points ago in AskEurope

Well naturally I would find the original article from a small town newspaper and read that instead. I just use daily mail to find those stories, don't actually read the Daily Mail version.

[–] Does your country have equivalents to Fox News and MSNBC news? accountforrunning 0 points ago in AskEurope

Daily Mail is good for finding crazy stories about weird shit that happened in the US. Stuff that doesn't get reported about at all.

I fly first class a lot for work, my company doesn't pay for it I just get upgraded. If you fly a lot you will be able to fly first class quite often.

[–] Moto Tab review: Look elsewhere for your tablet needs accountforrunning 4 points ago in Android

Yea, I got the cheapest ipad for $279 at best buy and I have no complaints. I know others don't like the screen because there is a visible gap but I don't mind it. Has never stuttered or lagged once which is nice because my 7+ sure as hell does.

[–] What do you think about British cuisine? How does it compare to your country? accountforrunning 3 points ago in AskEurope

It's the type of food that is good for a rainy day and lacks excitement but otherwise good hearty food.

I would agree that certain Asian Countries have some great food. I really Enjoy Thai, Japanese, Indian, and Indonesian cuisine. Mexican, Peruvian, Ethiopian, Egyptian are also some of my favorites.

[–] Do you think Mandarin will overtake English as being the lingua franca of the world or will English remain in its position in the next 100 years? accountforrunning 10 points ago in AskEurope

Sorry, I know I am not from Europe but I think technology will make this a non-issue. Unless there is some stubbornness where people need to communicate in the same language or legal reasons I think most conversing can take place with real-time, accurate, fast and natural translation through some minimally invasive in-ear device.

[–] Safety in traveling this year? accountforrunning 5 points ago * (lasted edited 2 days ago) in AskEurope

Very good advice, I will be going back next week and will forward this advice along to my colleagues.

Edit: Just talked to my counterpart in Rotterdam and it appears you have lied to me.

[–] Safety in traveling this year? accountforrunning 6 points ago in AskEurope

Have the storms subsided? I was almost killed by a flying piece of wood last time I was there.

[–] Do you think Crimea is now a part of Russia? accountforrunning 2 points ago in AskEurope

So while the owner sat outside, fearing for his beloved bike, the bike itself broke free of it's chains, smashed through the door of the shed and returned to its glorious and benevolent owner.

    What a beautiful love story.

[–] Americans who browse r/europe, why? accountforrunning 1 points ago in AskEurope

That sub is 50% maps, 20% pictures of buildings and 30% posts making their home country look good.

[–] Do we look European? accountforrunning 3 points ago in AskEurope

Damn, you went a bit too far. He was just a boy.

[–] Is your nationality ever assumed mistakenly? accountforrunning 0 points ago in AskEurope

I get spoken to in Dutch quite a lot when in the Netherlands. So I guess Dutch people can’t tell I’m not Dutch. In Germany, France, Spain etc everyone automatically recognizes me as either American or British.

[–] Think of a sentence in your language and see if others can figure out what it means? accountforrunning 6 points ago in AskEurope
