[–] Possible iPhone 11 leak?! airninja256 3 points ago in iphone

The camera module in the photo is on the wrong side?

[–] Pictures taken with your iPhone could be featured in an add. airninja256 2 points ago in iphone

*Photos you willing enter into the competition. It's not like Apple is randomly uploading your pictures for advertising like the title suggests.

[–] Teen accused of putting needles in train seats airninja256 14 points ago in melbourne

If there’s no punishment what’s stopping others from doing it too? Surely you wouldn’t want to sit on sharp needles during your commute? Pretty sure his bail shouldn’t have been extended...

[–] What are your predictions for the Surface Book 3 ( Release date/Specifications/Price) airninja256 1 points ago in Surface

    Release: November 2019

My prediction is that it will come in these configurations:

I5 8th gen (quad core), 13.5 inch no discreet graphics

I7 9th gen (quad core), 13.5 inch RTX 2060 maxq

I7 9th gen (quad core), 15 inch RTX 2070 maxq

I7 9th gen (six core), 15 inch RTX 2080 maxq

Priced same as Surface Book 2 with a new 15 inch option with more cores and better graphics for $500 more than the RTX 2070 version (based on American pricing)

[–] Surface Laptop 2 or Surface Book 2? airninja256 1 points ago in Surface

Book 2 will last you much longer in terms of ports (USB C) and be more functional (tablet detachable or flippable for note taking) but lacks processing power compared to the surface laptop in your configuration but still should be fine for note taking and programming.

    [–] Surface Book 2 13.5" ventilation airninja256 1 points ago in Surface

It has ventilation holes but is fanless unlike the 15 inch version which has fans in the tablet part.

[–] Out of Warranty Exchange to Replace Surface Book 1 with 2? airninja256 0 points ago in Surface

Only if they don’t have any Surface Book 1 stock although they could do it if you nicely ask them, otherwise you will just get a replacement SB1.

[–] Melbourne’s long term rail network & peak hour frequencies airninja256 1 points ago in melbourne

Thanks, wonder when we will get any news on it, it would cut my commute time into a third of the current time it takes. Hopefully they proceed with the proposal :)

[–] Melbourne’s long term rail network & peak hour frequencies airninja256 1 points ago in melbourne

That’s what I was referring to, is there any news on that? The last that we heard of that was the election promises.

[–] Melbourne’s long term rail network & peak hour frequencies airninja256 -1 points ago in melbourne

Glen Waverley to the proposed Burwood station scrapped? Guess we are stuck with 30 year old trams and delayed buses until the end of time :(

[–] Report: Apple cuts iPhone 8, XR, XS, XS Max prices for Chinese vendors airninja256 5 points ago in apple

And Australia please, $1629AUD is over $1150USD which is crazy for an iPhone XS

[–] Surface Book 2 not charging when connector for power cable is reversed airninja256 4 points ago in Surface

Check the port on your Surface Book, reversing the connect shouldn’t stop it charging. You might have a faulty unit and that’s why it won’t charge...

[–] The Lenovo Yoga A940 is a Surface Studio competitor airninja256 2 points ago in Surface

No 3:2 ratio no deal, when will other manufactures realise this? 3:2 is much more productive than 16:9 or other similar ratios especially in a product aimed at professionals, the extra vertical room that 3:2 gives is perfect for almost all professional applications by giving more content on the screen at once and therefore being more efficient to work on.

[–] NBN Co reveals 58 percent of HFC network still unserviceable airninja256 5 points ago in australia

Yep HFC delayed for years so far in my location and probably would be rubbish if they ever actually let people connect at all...

[–] Woke up to my now-broken pen underneath my body. Please tell me this is fixable. airninja256 1 points ago in Surface

It's likely dead sadly best you can do is try and sell it for parts or recycle it and help the environment...

[–] Woke up to my now-broken pen underneath my body. Please tell me this is fixable. airninja256 2 points ago in Surface

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that's unfixable unless you want to use a solution such as superglue which may not work if the plastic is warped. Does the pen still work? If it still works it doesn't really matter if the top is cracked or not.

[–] iPhone 4s and iPhone XR side by side. airninja256 11 points ago in iphone

Apples high standard for those technologies are new and they never claimed they were first, they claimed they were the first to prefect it which is true. Before the iPhone X barely anyone had Face scanning in a phone as the main biometric authentication system. The iPhone X has no chin (edgeless) something which no other manufacture can say so Apple was first in that. Overall Apple and Samsung are practically the same in technical advancements and come down to personal preference, no need to attack a company for doing something as it’s each persons choice if they like it or not...

[–] iPhone 4s and iPhone XR side by side. airninja256 8 points ago in iphone

So you haven’t seen any Samsung S series phone since the S6? That’s pretty hard to believe...

Btw where is Samsung ahead in tech?

[–] iPhone 4s and iPhone XR side by side. airninja256 9 points ago in iphone

You realise Samsung devices have glass backs as well?
