[–] All of the previous majors are watchable again. Thanks Valve awakestrach 7 points ago in GlobalOffensive

Get_right with 28-17 and krimz with 10-20. Oh how times have changed.

[–] I literally just got into csgo today, anyone have any advice? awakestrach 9 points ago in GlobalOffensive

It took me about 1000 hours to realize how shit I was. And another 2000 to stop being shit.

[–] Thanks for game @refrezhCS, don't queue FPL if you're in a bad mood or something, don't waste my time thanks ! awakestrach 1 points ago in GlobalOffensive

Imagine you're super depressed and actually contemplating suicide. You play a game to get your mind off it and someone tells you to kill yourself.

[–] Stop being passive on T side awakestrach 1 points ago in GlobalOffensive

If you go into an MM game expecting teamwork and trading, you're gonna have a bad time. Just fuck around and have some fun. It's not gonna be quality CS and you should know that.

I like to play an off angle on headshot so I'm behind the palate when they peek headshot. But when they peek wider to clear default, I shoot them in the side of the head. I also prefire that spot because I know how good it is, but most people don't.

If you're pressing W you are instantly at a disadvantage in every gunfight. Keep that in mind.

It took me about 1000 hours to realize how bad I was at CS.

Seriously though man. Be careful. I've seen people fail out of school because they were so addicted to games like CS and LoL. I've definitely failed a few classes because of CS.

I really appreciate being called an idiot with no language comprehension in one massive run-on sentence poorly spliced together with ton of commas. I bet you've produced some gold material for /r/iamverysmart.

[–] warowl about north awakestrach 0 points ago in GlobalOffensive

Don't be naive. Everyone knows age rating means basically nothing.

[–] warowl about north awakestrach 1 points ago in GlobalOffensive

Underage betting is definitely a problem. Especially when a large portion of the audience North is advertising to are children.

[–] warowl about north awakestrach 0 points ago in GlobalOffensive

The problem isn't sponsoring gambling. It's sponsoring gambling to an audience with such a large percentage of kids.

Yeah, well using "if you will" or "so to speak" doesn't change the meaning of your comment either.

You're just using some bullshit to backtrack because you said something stupid and you know it.

If you think I'm blaming it on Taco you need to read my comment again.

[–] Why just why awakestrach 5 points ago in GlobalOffensive

Mind pointing out where I justified the messages? I'm not justifying any of this behavior, I hate it. I'm simply pointing out probably the only aspect of the problem which is directly under the control of orgs.

Just because a portion of your fans are adults who can legally gamble does not change the fact that a large portion of your fan base are children who you are advertising betting to. While it's not as big of an issue as it used to be, I still have a huge problem with large orgs advertising betting to children.

That is not to say that this behavior is your fault, but advertising betting is certainly contributing to the problem.

Bettors act like this in pretty much every facet of betting, not just esports. You think football players never get death threats for losing a game?

Do you think CS:GO is the only toxic community? The gaming community as a whole is pretty toxic. While it's a noble effort to try and fix that, it seems kind of fruitless to me.

When someone harasses me in a pug, I mute them and move on with my life. I don't try to change who they are, because it's out of my control. I suggest you do the same.

I understand your frustration, people like this piss me off too, but do you truly think giving them more attention is productive? In my experience the best way to deal with people like this is to ignore them until they eventually get bored and stop.

The only aspect of this that I see a solution to is the gambling problem our community has. Like all the underage gambling websites sponsoring tournaments and teams. For example, GG.bet which sponsors North. You see how this is coming full circle?

[–] YNk to TACO : “ofc they win as soon as you left <3” awakestrach 6 points ago in GlobalOffensive

They were always capable of beating astralis, it just felt like they defeated themselves when playing against astralis. Maybe adding a new player gave them new belief that maybe they can beat astralis now that they're a different team.

    It was totally psychological imo.

[–] YNk to TACO : “ofc they win as soon as you left <3” awakestrach 3 points ago in GlobalOffensive

Ynk helped bring MiBR from barely clinging to top 10 to #5. Don't act like that was a failure.

[–] Stewie double spray and double knife awakestrach 5 points ago in GlobalOffensive

I've always been a fan of astralis (not over my boys in liquid ofc), but I am SO sick of them just stomping everyone. It makes tournaments boring to watch. So good to see them lose for once.

[–] Why just why awakestrach 22 points ago in GlobalOffensive

I hate to be cynical, but there will always be people like this and there's not much you can do about it.

[–] Team Liquid vs Astralis / iBUYPOWER Masters IV - Grand-Final / Post-Match Discussion awakestrach 26 points ago in GlobalOffensive

I wouldn't call it a mental block for astralis, but I agree that his playmaking ability had a big impact in this series.
