Thank you. Your encouragement and support really means a lot to me. It’s very motivating. :)

The limitation of a post it is a fun challenge. It’s small, so I can refine more and start over without losing too much, but I have to try and use that limited real estate carefully.

I used to draw a lot more than I do now, but there are whole stretches of years where I didn’t touch a pencil at all. Life caught up with me and I needed to grow up, get a real job, join the workforce, so on and so forth.

Sometime in the last couple of years I started drawing again, mostly at work to relieve some stress. Office drone life is draining and very unfulfilling, let me tell you. Last year I started an instagram to post my doodles online instead of just throwing everything away or hiding them around the office at work for strangers to find. The feedback I’ve been getting has been really encouraging and now I’m hoping I might actually do something constructive with it.

So, I probably sit down and draw whenever my job isn’t monopolizing my time and energy, so maybe 2-3 days a week. Sometimes it’s more when life isn’t so demanding. I really wish I could do this full time. I feel like I wasted a lot of time trying to be a “respectable grown up” when I should have been getting better. It is what it is though. I’m just happy I can share this stuff with people that appreciate it.

Thank you very much! Top right is Barbara Maitland from Beetlejuice and the Sugarplum Fairy from Cabin in the Woods is the one on the bottom. I love the dark, though I’m usually pretty light in my everyday life.

You’re absolutely right. I was in the processes of starting an Etsy store when coronavirus showed up, so that kinda stalled everything. But I gotta follow it though. Thank you for the push.

Thank you very much. That’s kind of you to say. But I’m just an office drone that likes to draw. I wish I could do this for a living. Maybe one day.

Thank you very much. The ending to that movie made me cry when I was a kid. I’ll never forget it.

Hell yeah! I think my toy of him when I was a kid is still on the roof of my childhood home.

Unfortunately not, but she’s on my radar now! Thank you for enlightening me.

Thank you very much! They were all fun to draw, in their own way.

Most of these are based on other things, so I do use some reference. The last thing I want to do is butcher a character that someone loves. In my head I usually try and imagine if there was a gritty reboot of the property, what would it look like? For the self portrait, I’ll be on the second row, 5th drawing.

Flukeman will forever be imprinted on my brain. I used to think it might be cool to hang out in a sewer based clubhouse like a Ninja Turtle, but not with this guy lurking around. Thank you very much!

Thank you very much! Me too. My favorite artist growing up was Arthur Adams and he always managed to cram in a lot of detail in the space he had. I try my hardest to do the same thing. The cool part about using the square format is that with multiple, it just makes a bigger square and that weirdly pleases my eyeballs.

Thank you very much! I’m hoping to eventually offer packs to whoever might be interested in them at some point in the future. I’ve always liked drawings with a lot of detail and multiple drawings set up in a grid like this is ideal for me.
