[–] This should have been in the movie! bucheule 25 points ago in twilight

I just read that passage (my first re-read of Breaking Dawn since it was published because I hated it as a teenager but my inner monk forces me to complete the series - started with MS) and I thought it was hilarious! Edward has such a prominent and special sense of humor, haha

Sorry I didn't express this very well. They knowingly donated their bodies to Body Worlds. I just equated that with science. I just don't know if they knew that they would be exhibited like this but I guess that was a possibility from the beginning so they were okay with this too.

Mh.. I see you point but I think this exhibition is not just like an art gallery. You get so many info signs, texts and even audios about every single exhibit piece, which say how our bodies work, inform about different illnesses, organs and so much more which makes it very educational. Those few hours made me learn more than every casual biology class I was ever part of.

That's what creeped me out the most, too! And for the sake of it.. To this day I don't know if the eyes were real! They give zero informations about the persons.. Probably out of respect and to protect relatives. I also want to know if they "just" consented on being exhibitioned or if the knew what "pose" they would be held after death or with.. whom

    https://bodyworlds.com/plastination/plastination-technique/

That's their official method but I know for sure there was a sign that said they color the muscles to show the difference from other body tissues. There was even an only half plastinated human which was the only time I had to talk myself out of vomiting and crying so I'm pretty sure those were real people. But I'm not a doctor or scientist so who knows.
